NEWER UPDATE: It would be nice to know where youre at in each of the packs, like how many levels youve completed. There are several levels which seem to require explanations that are missing, like the ones where Chip starts out in the center of a square of immovable dirt blocks; Im not familiar enough with the various iterations of the game to know what the rule is there. (This is a general problem Im having, though we found the bug that lets us move forward anyway.) In case anyone is still reading these, thanks! A UPDATE: we have an additional suggestion – it would be better for the buttons to be squares. Im having a lot of trouble hitting the smallest part of another direction and end up going in a direction we didnt want. We know the big square looks cool, and Im more consciously trying to hit the button centers than before, but it would definitely be easier to just have square (or circular?) buttons. Still love you beautiful humans for having this game back!! A First, Im soooooo glad that this is back on iOS thank you!! CC is our favorite game ever. Im giving you 5 stars because we want it to have high ratings and hopefully stick around. There are a couple of game play problems: blocks dont go across the ice. The game does lag so it doesnt allow you to finesse or respond quickly. The controls are awkward – a horizontal arrangement (with controls on each side) would be appreciated as an option. We personally prefer the Windows Chip (or a Chip/Will who looks more like him, anyway) and it would be nice to have the option. The timer and score are also gone, which we both like and dont like if game play was more like the original (even the original version of this app), we would welcome the timer and scores again. We also noticed that the classic and sequel levels are missingtheres one set thats similar to the original set but the field is much smaller. We havent played every pack yet, but we know some of them that were previously available from Mike Ls site are not included. We dont know what the reasons are, but we would definitely pay for more levels and a more souped-up version that plays like the original. (Without violating any copyright law, of course.) Thank you again for making this available; we were really missing it!!
Good selection of levels with ability to play different level packs and navigate between levels. Friendly control customization. It even throws some new, original objects into the mix. Thanks for the nostalgia and the credit.
Are there any solutions out there for these levels? We’re stuck on a level and would love some help to get through it. Other than that we love this game!
We emailed the developer and they worked with the original developers and got everything sorted. This game is fantastic, nice brain teasers and being able to go to to website, create our own levels and play them (website only). But if you get enough support for the online map you created it could be pushed to the mobile device! The game is great as always!! Thank you!
Please allow for a mute feature. We want to listen to podcasts while we play the game, but the sound effects cut out the audio. Other than that thank you for bringing back this game. We played it when we were a kid and it defeated our 8 year old brain. Great to have another try!
One of the best games ever is now on iOS. Thanks to the developers but it sure needs improvements, the controls are a bit lagging, and the game hangs in some levels. Its not stable enough to run smoothly when the movement is rapid. Hopefully there will be a fix in the next update. Keep up!
Love that we can play this game again after all this time! Is there a way to take off the sound effects though?? We hope so.
This game brings back memories of grade school in the mid 90s. BUT WHERE THE … ARE THE SUCTION CUP SECTIONS?!!!! We’ve been playing a week now and we saw the suction cup boots twice, got them once and never needed to use them. Like we havent seen once the green-black-white arrow tiles in this game. In the 90s, we would have been able to use the suction cup boots a bunch of times by now. Do the game developers just hate suction cup sections or something?
We are stuck on level 19 for a couple weeks now and about to delete the game cause we cant find how to pass it. Nothing Im trying works.
We do enjoy the game but have a lot of issues with it at the same time. To start, there is no way to customize sound settings. The controls are awkward and there is so much lag that it makes playing glitchy and a bit frustrating. It crashes in us sometimes, especially when navigating to different packs. A few of the games seem impossible to solve for one reason or another and there are no hints, so thats it. Youre just stuck. Please fix! We paid money for this app and so far we dont know if its been worth it.
We liked this game, very nostalgic but it needs to be more responsive, (I wish the music was there!!) BUT, the big thing is we got to level 21 and it crashes EVERYTIME. It has now become unplayable. We paid for this app- its annoying. We tried to contact developers but it brings us to a forum, no direct contact.
We really wanted to like this game. We played the original to death. But the controls are just too laggy which makes gameplay nearly impossible in situations where timing matters. We wish there was an option to swipe in the desired direction instead. We feel this would be the easiest way to move chip. We also wish we could play our own music.
We love this classic, but the controls are awful. Sometimes a tap on the d-pad wont move the character, and other times, it moves him multiple spaces. Obviously, this can ruin a puzzle and require restarting it. Fix the controls, and Ill happily up our review to five stars with glowing praise!
This game is fun but it crashes and glitches a lot. Sometimes it starts the same level over after we have passed it already. So we pass level one, then level two is exactly the same. And level three and four and five and so on. Super annoying.
The glitches make it unusable. Frezes whenever a teleporter land chip on ice. When completing a level, it repeats same level, sound stops working, when restarting level, needed chip count does not reset. This product is not ready for sale.
The directional pad is too sensitive to a tap and a press. It keeps moving more than one space even though we tapped it once. This really breaks the game since careful movement is the core of the gameplay. Please fix this.
We hope Ill get update this review but right now its really hard to enjoy this game because of the automatic repeating movement if you tap too long. Is there any way you can increase the delay for the repeating of movement in a direction? We can try to get used to tapping ever so lightly to move only a single space but as soon as we forget how sensitive it is we suddenly leap 5 spaces forward into water or fire. Having the option to toggle between auto repeat movement and single space movement might be an option too. Id just really like to focus on the challenge of the puzzles without having to be ever so careful because the interface is oversensitive. Playing on an iPhone 7 Plus. IOS 11.
Same problem the controls are way to sensitive and we run twice instead of one all the time.
Levels 10 through 13 are the same level. Possibly more, we stopped playing. Is this a glitch? We payed $3 for this.

It has a few bugs but overall we’re sooooooo glad to get one of our old favorite games back. Also we LOVE ALL THE PACKS. It’s like a really cool all day sucker. THANK YOU yah!!!!!!! We give you 10 plus stars.
Love it, love playing it (although the controls can be difficult, but we think they’re the best that can be done with a touch screen) our biggest critique is make a turn off sound feature so our music or podcast doesn’t shut off when the app is open.
How can we get a full/bigger view of each level?? We can’t see where we’re going!!!!
Great nostalgia factor and love the game, but the password feature does not work requiring you to completely restart a level if you fuk up, so great but…. Finish what you started please?
So love this game but the app closes without reason at any given time, at the most frustratingly close to the end moments! Pls sort this out.
The app crashes frequently, resetting the level. The controls are clunky. The overall experience is very poor. Not worth the money.
App DOES close unexpectedly AND restarts the level. We would uninstall but not after we paid three dollars! Please fix this issue because besides the crashes and the levels not being original we like it.
Used to love this game on our old computer. Enjoy playing…. But it’s super annoying how it crashes mid game every few mins. Should be fixing this issue since it was $2.99.
The game itself can be good but as plenty other reviews state, it crashes mid game. Usually right at the point when your doing well. Needs to mute to keep background music playing off of phone. Seriously needs to be fixed.
Cmon guys. You bring back one of the best and most nostalgic games and make it available for phones. We couldn’t even make it past level 2 without bugs. The arrows are gone which now makes it impossible to play bc we can’t control direction. 2 levels for 2.99. Don’t be lazy, fix this or refund everyone’s money.
How come we passed level 14 but the next level was level 14 . Please update. We paid for this poor game unfortunately.
Was very excited but game has many flaws. Shuts down unexpectedly this restarts the level. Paid $4.00 and wished we would have read reviews before purchasing. Maybe you can use the money you got to make the game better?

We can’t believe we paid money for a broken app. Do not buy. Needs update or something. It’s sad cause its a great game and we cannot continue because it closes before we can progress.

The game shuts down in all levels. If you move too fast or even blink the game shuts down. Don’t waste your time.

Was very happy originally but the app closes randomly and we’ve experienced actually passing the level but not advancing to the next, very disappointed in this app.
Would love to rate this game well, just for nostalgic reasons. But like others here, we find this app crashing regularly during or after level 13.
The best Chips Challenge app so far! We’ve been in love with Chips Challenge since we were a kid, and we’ve searched for it ever since. Thank you for making this app, and our only qualm would be that there is no timer on the levels— but we’re betting that will be added at some point via an update. We know that the webcc website was a constant work in progress and we look forward to seeing this app worked on and get better and better.
Looks like it was made with paint. Terrible interface. We would like to help the developer to build a better interface. Please, Let us redesign your app. We will do it for free. Will look better than this hideous thing.
Great game overall but we have a few suggestions that would make this more fun. First, put the regular sounds and Chip in, like we want to hear "bummer", not weird music. We also like the Chip with a blue shirt better . Second, add a level creator. Third, make it so you can access levels that users created on the website. And fourth, add wifi/Bluetooth multiplayer. Have it so you can either do a race (whoever gets to the finish first wins), or coop (you both have to get to the finish), with special levels for it. You could have player one be the Chip with a blue shirt, and player two be the Chip with a maroon shirt. Great game, though!
We love the level editor feature! (for those of you who cannot find it, GO TO THERE WEBSITE!!! It’s on there people) but if those pesky crashes were to be fixed, it would be a better game. :)

One word for this app that covers all bases: HORRIBLE.
Crashes often and some levels don’t do what they should. If you step in a circle to release a fire ball then it should release it! There are two levels that are unpassable due to glitches/bugs/horrible programming and we want our $2.99 plus tax back!!!
We bought this for the sole purpose of a level editor. Where is it? EDIT: It’s not even on the app? Thanks alot. Wasted 2.99 Review of actual app: Laggy interface, hate wills world skin, limited packs. Get Will’s World. Free and 10x better.
False advertising! So disappointing. We paid $2.99, this game is not the original CC levels, and there are only 18 levels! We feel duped and cheated out of our money. Wish there was some way to get refunds for apps.
