The classic game of whist is a plain-trick game without bidding for 4 players in fixed partnerships. There are four players in two fixed partnerships. Partners sit facing each other. A standard 52 card pack is used. The cards in each suit rank from highest to lowest: A K Q J 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2.
The player to the dealer's left leads to the first trick. Any card may be led. The other players, in clockwise order, each play a card to the trick. Players must follow suit by playing a card of the same suit as the card led if they can; a player with no card of the suit led may play any card. The trick is won by the highest trump in it – or if it contains no trump, by the highest card of the suit led. The winner of a trick leads to the next.
When all 13 tricks have been played, the side which won more tricks scores 1 point for each trick they won in excess of 6. The partnership which first reaches 7 points wins the game.

The numbers and suit at top of cards are very small And the center where the suit is , it is too big and distracting. Hard to concentrate on what is being played.
There are pop ads. It was difficult for us to see the cards. We deleted it because in the description it said no pop up ads.
We do not have a iPhone we love our old whist bring it back.The people dont even look real.please bring back our whist l had it for about 6 or 7 years. Jackie.
Dont get this! The computers win 99.999% of the time! Its a ripoff, a joke, and a waste of time! Just dont get this! If the developers are reading this, you dont know what the difficulty easy means! It doesnt mean hard or expert! It means anyone can win the deal! We cant! No one can! You might be able to, but you guys are probably pros! Unlike people who might be new to this card game! Make easy easier so its 50/50! Youre making innocent people look like noobs! And its ridiculous! You cant do that to us! We hate developers who make people look stupid! Get your act together and actually make this possible to win.
Since game was updated for iPhone X, keep getting pop-up ads. Its very annoying. Would like to have the old version back.
Ive never played the game before but we are enjoying it a lot. Sure, the UI is simple, but who cares? Its a fun game and we are grateful for not a lot of bells and whistles. Even better – no freaking ads! It seems to be a simpler version of spades to us, which we also like. No worries about bags or figuring out bids. Wish we had known about this one sooner. Well done.
Classic whist, well done. No problem seeing the cards or the trump, Im not sure what the other reviewers problem was. Partner makes bonehead moves sometimes, but thats life.
Cards dealt almost always favor opponents. Gets frustrating. Partner plays some really dumb moves. However its still somewhat entertaining.
We dont like the screen at all. All the other players look angry, not appealing at all. This is far inferior to the Eucher app. Some tips on strategy would be nice too.
Can't see what trump is, it's always covered by the discarded cards. Really aggravating game of Whist!!! It is not whist, no bidding, no jokers, just ridiculous!!! BAM!!!!! Deleted.
Don't download! This is NOT whist…it's a bad game of war. Small cards, weird scoring and strange faces. Whomever told you this was whist lied to you.
