All it takes is a bottle, a phone and a few friends.
WineGame is a fun, multiple-choice blind tasting game that instantly turns any bottle of wine into a party.
Play with friends, enjoying wine in a completely new fashion–and learn a lot along the way. The best news? Downloading the app and playing at home is free.
WineGame is powered by proprietary technology based on a database built to include nearly every bottle in the world, generating logical answers so gamers learn from even incorrect picks. So intuitive, it is as enjoyable for inexperienced players as it is for as the wine savvy.
READY. Everyone downloads WineGame to their own device. Game host enters wine using label scan or easy wine search.
SET. Game host blinds bottles in tinfoil or paper bags. WineGame creates a code for host to share.
SIP. Cheers! Pour wine for each player and the fun begins.
SCORE. Once started, players guess the grape type, country, region and label – all via multiple choice questions. Players get three tries per question, earning up to 12 points per round. A responsive scoreboard ups the competition.

A perfect grown up drinking game (who knew there is such a thing!?). Super easy to set up and so much better than board games! Use any wines you have around (clean out the wine rack), use the label recognition in the app and you are ready to go in minutes. Another great excuse to drink wine and hang out with friends…. And even learn a bit along the way. The wine trivia is great too when no friends around to play with.
Several issues with this app. Biggest problems are: 1) You must create an account to play, and signup requires a lot of personal information. Its not clear why the developer needs this stuff. The app could easily function without user accounts. 2) The game is not fun and isnt conducive to a social environment. Novice wine drinkers will be guessing randomly unless they want to read through pages of text. This is awkward if not impossible to do if youre in a social/party environment. The game design could be much more elegant. Overall, dont recommend this app until they totally redesign it.
This is a fun way to taste, talk and learn. Great time with girlfriends and good wines!!
This is the best game! Such a fun addition to a dinner party.
We’ve never rated an app before, but we had to after playing WineGame. This app is so much fun and was a great ice-breaker for a dinner party we hosted. The app is very user-friendly. We were able to easily set up our game by scanning in the wine labels and then getting a code for everyone to access the game. We only wish we could buy pre-made games so that as host we could play too. Everyone loved the game and had an incredible time. We will definitely be playing again soon!
Cant give this more than a single star due to the fact that a lot of the wine trivia questions are subjective or just flat out incorrect.
If you dont know anything about wine, this app is for you. And if youre a sommelier, this app is also for you.
This game is amazing. Perfect to play with friends and family at parties, dinner, or just sitting around. We highly recommend it.
We love games, wine, our diverse friend group and learning new things (preferably in the least boring way possible). Along comes WineGame! We were not prepared for how great this was going to be. You can tell much time & effort went into creating this app. The graphics are incredible and the beautiful images are not what you expect in a wine tasting game… But exactly what SHOULD be in a great wine game. Navigation through the app is easy/intuitive. The links to Uber & Lyft really stand out as an excellent example of the thought that went into this product. The only very minor criticisms are that we wish the trivia was more fully developed prior to release. Additionally, there were more proofreading errors than we would have liked to see in a released product. Overall, WineGame knocks it out the park!!

This app has huge potential if more people start using it, and more wine stores/bars adopt it for their blind tastings. Its really fun and cool when it works, but there are not enough adopters yet out here in the LA area. Other than that, a few other fixes: Quite a few spelling errors throughout the app. The multiple choice wine education/trivia has a few errors (the correct answer – in reality and as explained by them, is considered the incorrect selection -4 or 5 of those). Slight wine database errors. Examples: a Ros being considered a red wine (despite being selected correctly), or multiple entries of the same wine with slightly different names – check out Bonny Doon Le Cigare Blanc (there are ~8 entries for the same wine) Overall a fun app with huge potential if the user base grows. Ill try to do our part.
Our friends and we love wine and games so whats not to love! We had a blast guessing wines and keeping score. The best part… Its multiple choice so not intimidating at all.

We love playing this with friends. We get to blind taste for fun, and end up knowing more about wine afterwards!
