Incredibly frustrating and fun game. We hate that there are so many blocks within one level because even if you try to play strategically, the ploy is for you to struggle throughout the level to watch ad after ad until you successfully complete the level. We sincerely hate capitalism.
Used to be really great but now its picking colors we didnt and making us lose the level and the power-ups that we used as well. Somehow its choosing the colors behind the one on top instead of the visible one, NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP.
This is a really fun game. But Im giving it three stars because the ads are insane and if you take a break from the game at any point the level restarts. Bathroom too long? Level restarts. If your phone dies? Level restarts. If the game just feels like it? Your level restarts. You could have been almost done. Then, when the level restarts, you dont get credit for the previous ads that you watched nor any of the aids you used or even spent money on. So you have to do it all over again and again, you are going to be watching countless adds already so to have to rewatch them for a level you already went through is insane. Its literally a waste. Feels like a scam. There is literally no way to play a level all the way through without having to watch multiple ads because of the way the colors are placed. We saw another comment that said its almost like it was rigged that way. Definitely is. Because this is a game without watching multiple ads or spending money.
We literally CAN NOT finish level 45! For some reason we dont have the option to watch ads for boosters in return, and we keep failing. We think we have tried this level almost 30 times we CANT BEAT IT its literally impossible. PLEASE FIX THIS.
This game is fun to play but it sets you up for failure! If you open the extra 2 spindles we have had 3 of the 4 be for the same color and none of that color be visible at all. You have to watch several ads to be able to finish a level. This is definitely not a stress free game.
First of all, people playing a cozy wool game dont want to see ads for sniper games, especially in America. Then the ads get stuck with no way to get back to the game and you have to start the level over. At least give people a way to report broken or offensive ads.
The app does keep moving along after completing so many stories. It stops after 15. This is the second time it has happened since we started playing this game.
We believe that the game needs to be tweaked. There are 5 spool holders that you can use to uncover other colors. If 4 are full and then you move a color to the last one, the game is over. You should be able to fill the last one and have the opportunity to use an uncovered color. Otherwise, what is the point of the 5th spool.
We love this game but there are not enough ads to keep passing the levels, ive been stuck on the same one for weeks, we cant afford to buy fail packs, im about to delete it.
We are loving playing this game. However the ads are troublesome. We actually paid the 7.99 to go ad free and it didnt work. Im not sure who to get ahold of. We tried writing through the game but no response. It is a fun game though.
We really like the concept of this game and it would get 5 stars if it wasnt so rigged to make you lose or have to use the powerups. Forces you to watch ads to get the powerups or purchase them. Really sucks.
Once you buy the No Ads, you cant get any ads, so the only way to proceed if you cant pass a level is to buy coins with real money. We see zero way to start over at level 1, even after deleting and redownloading. So cant earn any coins that way either. Really fun, great with haptics, but Im very very tired of being stuck on the bull.
Its insane how some levels are impossible to pass, forcing you to watch ads to get the special tools. We watched like 20 ads on level 20. We dont wanna play this anymore.
Ended up deleting it as its completely set up to fail. So many levels (and we think we made it to about 20) are set up to fail. You cant do them without power ups or ads. Thats a terrible system. You need to make it fun. Clearly a cash grab or something. Disappointed.
WAYYY TOO MANY ADS! We have enjoyed the game but they rig it so you loose unless you use one of their clearing buttons. And to use that you have to watch a long ad. On average it takes watching at least 5 ads a game or more depending on the difficulty which is ridiculous. If you dont like watching ads we definitely wouldnt recommend this game.
This game would easily be our favorite game if it wasnt for the sheer number of ads! We have been on the same level for weeks because we dont have the time in our life to watch the number of ads it would take us to clear 294 colors with them only giving us colors we dont have. We will have an abundance of beige and they will only let us clear it at the end. When we peek at the colors under all the sections, the colors we need arent there either and if they are, we would have to unravel multiple sections to get enough to clear one pod. And then have to watch a video to clear the spokes. Its really annoying too because the ads arent like the ads in other games. They are 60-120 seconds long!! We do not have that kind of time. We havent deleted the game yet, but we may have to search for a different like this one because its a great stress reliever game when we can get through the levels.
Saw this game via an ad and downloaded.. Was super fun & relaxing until you get to about level 10 and you have to watch at least 8 ads to finish a single level because they dont give you the colors needed. Quite upsetting and looking at other wool games to see if there is more balance.
The game starts out entertaining, but from level 55 onward it becomes practically impossible to win without paying. Ive played that level many times and theres no way to pass it unless you buy boosts. Ive already spent money on earlier levels and thats the only way we were able to progress, but you eventually reach a point where paying $2 or $5 is not enough anymore and the game keeps pushing you to spend more. On top of that, there are way too many ads. Its frustrating to constantly watch ads and still have to pay to move forward. In the end, it stops being fun and turns into constant pressure to spend money.
Game is made perfectly to entice you with micro transactions. They give you an easy level or two to make you feel like you are doing good then throw an impossible level that requires you spend money to pass.
We paid for the ad free version, and even then like all the other reviews say, you need to watch 4-10 ads to pass levels. Just too frustrating. Dont bother.
Why we give this game a two rate. The games was fun and addictive but also challenging. We deleted it because it has so many ads and its annoying. We just want to play the game sick of ads destroying our mood.
At times we have really enjoyed this game and think it could be a stress reliever game. However, the major flaw is you are eventually given a color to collect, but that color is 10 levels deep and nearly impossible to find. You can Hoover over a thread to see the immediate color underneath, but when the colors are under so many layers, that even watching all the available ads to keep going doesnt even help needless to say, super frustrating.
Honestly the game is a lot of fun but the ads are TOO MUCH. You can't pass a level without watching like 20 videos. And they're not short at all. It's frustrating. The review responses are always "we're sorry, we'll take it into consideration". Yeah, right. We'll believe it when we see it.
We have had this game for months now. We really enjoyed the concept and the colors but it REALLY doesnt want you to beat a level without watching 10+ ads. Ads unlock boosts, which most of the levels require some sort of help to move on to the next one. At this point, we no longer enjoy the game and ended up uninstalling due to the watch to win factor. Disappointing from the developers, honestly.
This game is fun when you actually are able to complete a level. For the longest time we thought the entire game was just guesswork, and it was starting to become really frustrating that we couldnt get through a single level without having to watch 5+ ads to get more chances. We eventually learned that if you hold down on a piece of yarn, it will show you what color is hidden under that layer. This was really helpful and made the game much more enjoyable. Today when we opened the game to play, it seems that feature disappeared and now its back to guesswork. If this feature could be added to the game again we would be happy?,but otherwise this game is frustrating.
This game is very soothing, but we are frustrated with a recent update that renders the game impossible. You can no longer hover over a color to see what color is underneath. This makes it extremely difficult to complete any level without watching 10+ adds and takes away all enjoyment and satisfaction from the process.

Its impossible to get through a level without watching at least 2 ads. BUT its so satisfying which is annoying and Im partially addicted even though we absolutely hate that its just a sneaky cash grab.
So we started out really liking this game. The ads are annoying yes but we were willing to suffer through because we found the gameplay fun. But now with whatever they did for the update, it wont let you peek at what color is under a layer anymore which makes it a complete guessing game. Ive watched more ads on the game the past 3 days than we have any other time on this game.
We dont mind the ads but we do mind the fact you can no longer hold each section to see the underneath section. It made the gane achievable and now you cant win levels. We loved the challenge before but now its disappointing.
Well it was a fun way to pass time till it stoped adding our points it started glitching and now it wont load fix it.

Too many ads. The game is actually fun but we literally timed an ad and it's went on for 5 mins. Like WTF. Then you get stuck so easily that you have to sit through the ads to continue a level.

This game is the perfect mix between easy and hard, There are some issues with some of the colors being so much alike you get mixed up but other than that its really fun, some levels are really difficult to pass (ive been on one of the levels for a week) and its just so fun to play cause of the challenges, we dont have much problem w ads as much, but its our fav wool game to play all the other ones ive deleted cause its not the same.
This is a game you wanna play you need some stress relief but at the same time, dont want to put your mind into strategic or mentally stimulating games. It is easy to manage when you watch ads to get more playing slots, but we dont know how its going to be when we go to the higher levels.

The concept is cute and fun but because you need to watch like 50 ads to complete a level it sucks out the fun from the game.
Have been stuck on level 35 for over a month. Like theres genuinely no way to beat it. The adds make it 10x worse. Too bad, because the game was fun before it was impossible to beat.

Im on level 23. We shouldnt be watching this many ads just to pass a level. Its like the game is rigged for you to watch so many ads or to purchase boosters to be able to complete the levels.
Many of the levels use shades of color so similar you cant tell them apart. We understand trying to stick to theme but they need to make it so you can easily tell the colors apart not 5 shades of brown so similar you keep failing.
Honestly, the game has been amazing. Its really fun but the fact that we have not been able to keep the ads quiet has been so infuriating, that we dont want that game anymore.
