We usually love this game, but lately it throws us out of a game during a round. Highly frustrating. Does anyone else have this problem? If they can fix this problem it would be good, otherwise Ill delete the game. We hope it doesnt come to that. That is the only reason we didnt give the game a five star. Hope you fix the problem.
Its simple and we dont have to spend money. Only thing is some people assume we use power ups and get mad and accuse us of cheating. We think some of them are sore losers. Just because someone beat you doesnt mean they cheat. We just got forced to go to the new version. We dont like it as much. Its not as responsive as the old version.
We love this game! What we dont like are the sore losers. Twice this week this is what happened: we beat someone ( heck, we hadnt even used power-ups); they proceeded to send us 10 games in a row. Its obvious this was out of spite! The whole point here is: this game needs a tool so we can block other players !
We liked the old version better.
Fun game but our reward tiles arent working and Id like a no ad versionthe ads get old super quick.
This version is cute and all, but this was our favorite game because we DIDNT used to have to watch/ click off an ad between every round. Way too many pop up ads!

It used to be much easier to request a game with a friend. Now we can play one game then it stops.
We finally got used to the new version (but still hate the dumb graphics). The number of ads and the length of ads are forcing us to take a break. We have seen too much of the king in distress.
We’ve enjoyed playing this for years as a stress reducer, but it doesnt seem to be working anymore. Every time we go into the app, it says there is a connectivity problem, but our internet is fine and every other app we have is working ok.
Hate this new version! Childish. Too busy. Too noisy. Too many commercials. Keeps freezing. Bring back the old version.
EDIT: as of today the in-game rewards are working. Thank you to whoever fixed it. We started playing this game around 2010 (I think) and its gone downhill with every change and now it hasnt even been updated in 2+ years. Also want to note: When we re-added the game recently we had the pay to remove ads even though we already paid for that option in the past. 1. They no longer allow messages to other players. Why take away that option? We didnt use it frequently but it was still useful in certain situations. 2. Power ups are ridiculous. There should at least be a limit on how many can be used per round. Basically anyone can win a game if they are willing to pay. The game should be based on skill, not who has the most money. 3. You cant block people. Why not? This should be an option. 4. As far as we can see, unless you link to Facebook you cant change your username or add a photo. Not everyone has Facebook or wants to link their game to it. 5. Again, unless you link to Facebook there is no option to add a friend or add an opponent to your friend list. We even sent an invite to our brother using the link provided and he had no way to play us on there. You cant even search by name or email. We really hope the developers are listening to their longtime players. This was our favorite game in the App Store back in the early 2010s. We’ve spent a lot of time (and money) playing and would love for it to go back to its roots. Back then we recommended it to a lot of people and always had several games going on with friends and family. We would play it all day long when we had free time.
We updated our phone yesterday. Now we cant play the Word Crack we loved on it. Its been replaced by a horrible mess of a game that doesnt appeal at all. Why in the world couldnt you have left the original game alone and introduced this as a new game? Now we have to decide if we want to update our iPads software and say a permanent goodbye to our favorite game So now if Im playing someone on new version, we not only dont know if theyve used power ups, they may also be taking all the extra time offered. Really skews the game away from using actual skill. Too bad youve jacked it up. Offer a choice of original WordCrack or your crappy new WordCrackmix2! Finally had to update our iPad and lost the original version. Seldom play now.
If you purchase this app, do not lose your password. They offer on the app to email it to you and they dont. Every time you contact them, they give you a claim number if sorts. They say the matter has been forwarded to their developers but you never hear back again, unless you email them and they give you a new case number with an automated reply. This has been going on for over a month and we have yet to get the email with a way of either retrieving our password or resetting it. Thanks for nothing Etermax!
"If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!" It’s really sad this game used to be fun, it was actually one of the very few games over the years that we’ve had and never deleted, that is until now, when we realized it’s not the same game anymore. We forgot about it since the new ios update added the "app library" that sorted our home screen, we just found it in our list of apps and now we’re disappointed it’s not the same game we were wanting to play again.. :/
For about a week now, (beginning of July) there has been a new glitch on both ours and our husbands iPads. The game will not load and continually has the following error message: Oops! We are sorry. An error has occurred. We have tried multiple times on both of our iPads to restart and even delete the games and reinstall but nothing is working. Please look into this matter. Thank you!
We so wish we had never upgraded. We have no positives about the new 2 version just complaints and comparisons about what Im now missing. – review of the board we played after the game (so we could look at all the possible words we would never have thought of anyway but at least and we could see how to connect the letters to get there) – comparing scores for the same word (and again, reviewing the board for that game) to try and figure out if we just missed a different letter choice that would have changed our score or or if it was all power up – blocking folks who obviously just want to win instead of play the game – who cares how many coins/points you have if you never use the darn things anyway? – the list goes on and on…
When we open the app there is an error message and it will not open. Very frustrating!

This is the worst. Its full of ads, it looks like a game a 2 year old would play, finding things like power ups (which a few of us used to make the game different and more challenging) is nearly impossible. This new version is absolutely awful! Bring back the old game.

The original game was fun and relaxing, please restore it or give people the option to have version 1 of Word Crack instead of Word Crack 2 which is just the worst! You took a popular game and made it for kids that wont even play it!
THIS NEW VERSION stinks!! Very very disappointed. We were an everyday, very competitive player of the pre- updated game and then you ruined it! We dont know why you didnt just create a new game instead of drastically changing the tried and true one with so many users and great reviews. Why would you do that? Why?? We cant even sign in with our old user and password. AND, although we for the most part dont use power ups we still took pride in the almost 16 k in coins we earned that have disappeared! BRING BACK THE OLD GAME!!!
The same boards are shown. Buggy. Keeps saying there is a problem with internet connection , yet all of our apps on our phone are working. We deleted the app, reinstalled. No success.

Id say its totally different from the old word crack, but the game errors out immediately on opening.
The new update inflated this app with adds. Such a joke now.
What happened with the original version? Our app which we paid for no Ads is not updating anymore (it says that the developer needs to update it in order to work with the new iOS) then we downloaded this version that does not have the same flow and its plagued with ads!!!!!!

Yall took a great game & just sucked all the fun out of it & im writing this even after purchasing your new version w out all the annoying & incessant ads. Only reason you have the rating you do is because of the newcomers that dont know any better & half of them arent crazy abt it either. Also its not cool how you force the keep going on players that have purchased the no ad version. The 3 free uses should be for us to decide NOT YOU!!! You need to get rid of that crap altogether bcz were still choking on the millions of ads you were alrdy shoving dwn our throats we dont need another one. Plus it makes the game so unfair that you dont even want to play it anymore. Hell you dnt know if your opponent has plenty of time to watch that crap or not.
We would like this game but doesnt want to work on our iPad or phone needs to be fixed it looks like it could be a good game but Because it wont act right we have to delete it msskayla.
They took away the feature where you could add friends so you could play them anytime. We had over a dozen friends that we played each other regularly. ALL our FRIENDS left and the list is useless. Cant delete or add to the list. They took away being able to see the puzzle and where each word was when you scrolled through the final list at the end of ea round. That was very helpful. They also took away the final word count. WHY WHY WHY?! We keep hoping they will restore the old features, but obviously they dont read the reviews or care what their audience wants.
We played this game constantly. We liked being able to see the words we didnt find and where they were on the board so we could improve. We liked the simplicity of the interface. We never used the power ups just plain old boggle game with our UK friend. Now the interface is like something for a three year old. It hangs after every commercial showing a grinning king until we kill and relaunch the app. We cant play this game any more. * Update – the issue with the game hanging and requiring constant relaunching is fixed! We still miss the removed feature to look at the board but its working and Im getting used to the new interface. Enjoying the game again.

This an interesting game, and most recent changes have improved the game to some degree, but we dont understand why you have opted to remove the total number of words found in each round. We believe it was better when you indicated the total found as well as the total possible. Change it back to include these and Ill be very happy!!
Okay you finally managed to get some competition. Previously we would wait weeks for a competitor. There is a glitch in your scoring. Apparently you have no ability to register a tie. Had it happen twice and both times we supposedly lost.
We absolutely hate the new version. The update ruined the game. The original game was great. We played it all the time. The update did not improve the game at all. Nothing they added did anything better. They made it WORSE! We will miss the old game. We hope they bring it back. The new version is horrible in every way. Play Ruzzle instead.
Finally nixed it from our phone. Played one game in the newer version and that was one game too many. Held out hope for quite a while that the developers would see the error of their ways and return it to the old versionwhich was awesomebut finally gave up. Such a shame, it really was better the old way.
Why would you change something that worked perfectly well, and felt like an intellectual, yet entertaining game? The new version feels like a kids game! Could you just create a kids version with the cartoonish characters and leave the previous one for adults? This version is missing so many of the quality features and professional details of the other one. We really enjoyed playing in the past but we cant say the same of the new version…
We’ve played this game for years as an enjoyable, stimulating time waster when we have a free moment or am waiting on something, and have logged thousands of enjoyable games. Im uninstalling after writing this review and not ever thinking about this game again. After installing the recent updates, this game is totally different and is now absolutely awful; it now inserts ads for garbage at every opportunity and added a bunch of pay to win mechanics. Its no longer about finding words – now its about seeing which player can suffer through the most ads. Didnt find enough words? Just watch some ads to make up for it. We understand that free apps need revenue and to some degree this is how the market works, but the changes are so over-the-top and jarring that it cant be anything other than a shameless cash-grab by the publisher as they run this game into the ground and squeeze every penny from their userbase using all the worst aspects of todays mobile game scene. All good things come to an end, and this games time has come.
We played the old version thousands of times. Sometimes Id have 10 games going at once. It was the perfect way to waste time. Our fiancee, who is overseas, and we spent countless hours enjoying it. We paid for the ad-free version and had saved amassed upwards of 10,000 coins. The update was not requested and not welcome. Game play changed and game itself suddenly seemed designed to appeal to toddlers. Add to that we no longer have a paid version. We played 3 or 4 times, and the app has been unused since. We believe this is the same company that put out Trivia Crack years ago. That thing turned into a spam generator and was long ago deleted. We hope you all will consider making fun games again, and stop ripping off paying customers.
We started having issues with the old version and finally decided to update. Big mistake! Its unrecognizable from the game we originally downloaded years ago. The cartoon style is off-putting, not to mention losing thousands of saved coins. What had been a fun brain exercise is now just a headache. Ill be deleting this app.
The original was a favorite. Now there is no clear way to invite a friend to play. The new graphics are annoying, but that is just a style issue. If simple features of an app are difficult to figure out, people will simply delete it.
This new version of word crack is a step down the old version was much better. Wish we had never updated the app.
We loved the original Word Crack, but the update to Word Crack 2 is truly awful!
We played every day for years. Alas this new format is awful. Force fed ads constantly. Unable to compare our words with opponents or see list of all words in puzzle. Power ups are arbitrarily offered. It is like the makers purposefully set out to ruin the game. Mission accomplished !
This version does not work at all. Just the load screen then crash. Bring back the original version that can actually be played and scrap this piece of junk that nobody asked for!
