This is an amazing game. Theres no constant ad ad ad ad ad and its not pay-to-win. Honestly, theres nothing that we can think of that would be good to add to this game – its amazing as it is! It has a simple yet unique gameplay concept where you complete levels, collect coins and acorns, use acorns to upgrade all 50 forest types (you get a new one when you complete the current one), and battle others! Its an incredibly good game, yet its strategy remains very simple, unlike some other games where you have to read like 10,000 rules and remember each individual word in each individual rule. We also like that the game isnt too hard, but we still am only in the 40s of levels and on Snowy Mountain, so we still dont quite now. Thanks to the developer for making this awesome game, and we hope he/she continues making these great games! Word Forest..sometimes a bit confusing with the acorns and raiding the villages, but thats okay. Most puzzles are relatively easy, but when you get a puzzle where MANY different words would work, but they are not the words wanted, it can be a bit frustrating. However, we love it! Im 71 years old and it helps keep our brain sharp.
We love this game, it is constantly changing and adding something new. Its challenging and fun. We wish they would change some of the words, we understand some of the less common words but some seem made up and when you ask for a definition you get a oops cant find it. Also, they pass up good word choices and instead add a different ending to a word already used. However, we still give it a high rating for the surprising additions they add at different levels.
Such a caring game inspires our inner vegan.
Good game if you got to play it, instead you wait for animations and acorns and attacking villages and clicking loot chests (why does a word game need loot chests?) instead of actually making words.
We really like the challenge of this game, but we find ourselves getting so frustrated with the constant ads that freeze up and cause us to have to close and reopen the app over and over. Also, we have checked and not only does this game use abbreviations for words that are not used in English , it but also doesnt accept words that ARE used, so you loose your points. And they also throw in Spanish and French words. All these issues have caused us to decide to stop playing. Too frustrating and not fun anymore. And, this was our favorite game.
This game is somewhat fun but it runs so slowly and crashes on our iPad. Makes us wonder whats running in the background while this app is open. Deleting.
Anyone who has played this game long enough is not gonna give 5 stars. ETA is not a word. Its Greek crap. Ive had enough of the game freezing, stupid letters that do not make words, movin us from level 186 back to 148, the list goes on. As soon as we send this review we will be deleting this so called game.
We downloaded this because we were sick of the ridiculous number of ads on words with friends. The first session we played, there were hardly any, and the few there were, were very short. It was fun. We came back a few hours later to play, and the ads are worse than words with friends. Multiple ads after every play. Im removing it! Im sure that the developers wrote the positive reviews.
We played the game with ads and enjoyed it so we decided to buy it, it was going great till we got stuck on one word. We lost all our coins so we could not get a hint and the only way to get more coins is to buy them. We feel that we were scammed we bought the game but then they still want more of our money to continue to play.
We liked this game and found the forest/nature backgrounds relaxing. Then we got to a stage where we were forced to chop down a random players trees. Seriously? That seems kinda sick. Definitely doesnt fit with the peaceful nature setting and the description of this game as relaxing. Deleted the game, will not play again. Disappointing.
We started playing this last summer and grew attached to it so much that we were trying as hard as we could to help our team get acorns. Then it was easy to get high amount of acorns if you didnt lose the streak of not putting in a non word. The reason change is horrible we hate it and several people on our team dont like the new changes. No matter how many times you dont miss the streak of correct words you wont get hardly anything in acorns. Im thinking about deleting the game because it is no longer fun to get streaks of words for not enough acorns. Please change back to before you recently changed it abs ruined it for everyone.
ABSOLUTELY addictive and our ALL-TIME-FAVORITE game. If you count yourself as a wordsmith, (as we do) then this is the game for you! You can spend hours – easily – building your word forests, collecting acorns, and exacting revenge on your opponents.You cant step away. No easy, run-of-the-mill words here. Youve got to be on your toes to unlock these word puzzles and dominate the point board! Love this game.
This game is easy, and relaxing and you will enjoy it.
The game itself is fun and enjoyable. However, as others have noted, the ads are way too intrusive and disruptive. You play a level, which takes about 10-20 secs, then you have to sit through a 30 sec ad…every.single.time. We understand that ads support the developer, but other games are able to better balance game play and ads. Btw, ads after every level is not mitigated by watching ads for bonuses. You can easily spend a few minutes watching ads for every level. We wound up deleting the game. The ads took all of the fun out of playing.
Ya know, we think you should build in a couple dozen more things that have absolutely nothing to do with finding words. Like so many other games, this one also seems as if it earns money for each time your finger taps the screen. A waste of time if you want actual game play: it's literally 90% bells and whistles.
All it wants to do is sell your data and create terrible mean things to little girls. Discussing.

Excellent game but ridiculous price of 7.99 a WEEK to get rids of ads. And fix the villages, theyre all screwed up and we cant develop. We have over 3,500,000 acorns. And it seems youve lowered some rewards amounts significantly. Is that because you cant keep up? Its our fav game ever.
They just ripped us off! They didnt give us the daily coins that they were supposed to give after they take the money from your accounts! Dont trust this app! It is a rip off! If you fall for asking for 1hint it uses all your hints up by giving you three! Waste of your money.

65 year old man hooked on a game! Who would have thought? We The easy puzzles are quick, but the six and seven letter puzzles can be frustrating. Lots of fun and keeps our brain sharp.
A decent game to test your word knowledge and how quickly you can think. The ads are annoying but understand why they are there. The thing that can be improved is the scenery after forest 20. It has been stuck in the same graphics for all different stages of forests. When we are in Hawaii, we expected to see Hawaii scenery.

This game was initially fun. However, it became apparent that the developer is not interested in legitimate words. At first, we did individual play, then joined a team? The competition was initially enjoyable. However, two teams are blatantly cheating, one consistently. We have complained several times to no avail. So, we have to say, find another word game.
It keeps freezing in the middle of a level. A chest pops up that says tap here to open (#), but when you do nothing happens. Ive deleted and reinstalled the game at least 4 times today. If it happens again Im just going to delete it permanently. Too bad because we really like the game.
The game its self is great …. When you can play it the ads are not worth playing this game it doesnt matter if you want to watch the WHOLE ad you have to in order to play it and the ads are understandable BUT THE LENGTH OF THE ADS ARE ANNOYING!!!!! So they force you to pay we DONT THINK SO!!!!! We were going to pay but we figured if youre forcing us Im not we click the x in the left corner it takes us to play store then we X out of play store to get back to the game and we have to wait 30 more seconds then it takes us to another screen to interact with the ads game in this screen theres no X so you have to wait another 30 to get back to the actual game SO SUPER ANNOYING NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION REALLY.
One of our favorite games. It nevef gets old.
Ive been playing for 4 months and got addicted immediately. We found the League and played in a few different clubs until we found the one we felt most at home. Ive been chatting with people from all over the world. Now we feel the need to play every day. Some teams are mainly for avid players, such as the team Im on. Some people dont like the ads but there are various ways to get rid of them. Its a very inexpensive way to spend time and chat with people.

Too many ads. You dont earn enough coins/points for puzzles or watching videos yet you charge huge amounts for a hint etc. Sometimes you get stuck and need hint but when they are 180 coins and you only get 25 coins for a forever video…..you spend more time watching than playing. Ya, not fun.
Oops! Were having trouble finding this definition. This game makes up words and then cant define their meaning. This happens a lot.
If we were judging just on the game play Id give it 5 stars its super fun, challenging enough without getting frustrated but we had to only give 2 stars because the ads are a lot. It takes us about 25-30 seconds to play each level and after every single level Im forced to watch a 30 second ad. Its just a lot. By the time we play our 3rd level Im over the ads and end up stopping. We understand the need for some ads dont get us wrong but maybe let us play a couple levels then an ad? We feel like Im spending more time watching ads than actually playing…..Its a shame because this is definitely a game we would play for hours if we didnt get so turned off by the amount and length of ads.
