Ive had this app for some time and it was considerably more challenging. Now it seems to be dumbed down and we can clear a board sometimes in seconds. Hardly worth the effort.
Had this on our iPad and it disappeared. It is back again! Do we get charged for playing or is it only when we purchase ? We understand the in-app purchases but dont want to pay for playing. Some games are listed as free, but arent really. The download is free, but not playing the game.
We love words! Which Is why we so enjoy this game. And, it really makes us think! Thank you fort sharing this fun game.
Its a great game but Im getting tired of playing the same puzzles over and over again. Grrrr.
We dont mind that we have to watch ads for other apps, but if youre going to show the ads then make sure they work and run like they should. Yours dont.
It used to be so challenging. We loved it. With the latest update, the user interface is too simplistic. And it gives the topic, rather than leaving us to sleuth it out. We want more, and from reading other reviews, we are not the only one.

Seems like this might be a fun game except there are WAY TOO MANY ADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do understand thats how you make your money but you must understand that this is extremely frustrating with soooooooo many ads. Not everyone could afford to pay to have the ads removed. Will be deleting this game simply because of the enormous amount of ads.
We used to enjoy this app and played it daily. They did an update and dumbed it down so much its no longer fun. Wasnt super challenging to begin with and now any 8 year old kid could zip through it in just minutes.
Why the big change? Not the game we downloaded long ago.
Why would you change the game we are so very disappointed we could read the old version and enjoyed it tremendously we wish you would have considered people who need larger print the last edition was perfect.
You changed the format. We dont like it as well. The colors are too bright and the bubbles. Whats with the bubbles.
We enjoy the old game better than this. Yes there were other puzzles besides the daily. We guess its something Ill have to get used to. The letters are smaller and colored so theyre harder to see. Im sure there are other games if we have to switch.
Ive played this game for several years and enjoyed it, but Im displeased with the replacement game. Its so much harder. And to make things worse, they implemented the change on the last day of the month, so we wasnt able to get the reward for the month unless we spent hours doing the new puzzles for every preceding day of the months. YOU SHOULD HAVE WAITED UNTIL THE 1st TO IMPLEMENT YOUR NEW CHANGE. Unfortunately, that cant be undone now!!! Ill probably delete the app.
The new format is difficult to see. The letters are too small.
We paid the $2.99 for the game to be ad free. While its true we no longer have an annoying wait for an ad to run between every game, we are still forced to watch ads or pay more money if we need to shuffle the letters. Annoying. But not half as annoying as the fact that there is absolutely NO WAY to turn the sound off of the annoying ads!! Its infuriating. So forget trying to play the game in bed at night while another person tries to sleep next to you. There should be an option to turn ALL SOUND off the game so you can play silently. Most of the ads only have music so there is no needs for the sound to come on. For the love of all things good and holy, change your game so that muting sounds and music in the settings mutes ALL sounds and music. Otherwise its a fun game.
Please fix the wordle ad, it stops the game and we have to reset.
We downloaded this on a recommendation of a friend, on our ipad. Your game does not detect the orientation of devices with the app. It won't rotate based on the orientation we use on our ipad. Buh bye.
Level 5201 and Ive had it. Ads play repeatedly 30 seconds each iteration 3, 4 times before getting back to the game. The ads are LOUD and obnoxious. We wrote about this months ago and you did not respond. Plus, the ads are violent. Cartoons yes, but still violent. Time to delete this game and find another.
Wordtown is a great game but the advertising locks you in and wont allow you to get back to the game so the game becomes useless. Its really too bad. Advertising is necessary we realize but not when it destroys the game.
Why do you allow scam ads on your game site.
Lots of fun. Lots of ads, but ya can pretty much ignore them. Not difficult to build up bonus points. We currently have a little over 216,000! Now we have a bit of a problem. We played 10,115 rounds and it said there were no more puzzles and we could start again. It always says there are more puzzles coming soon, but they havent appeared. What is soon. The way its set now that Im replaying we cant get points for words that arent in the puzzle. This is how we were able to accumulate a lot of points. Get more puzzles and get it back the way it was before we finished everything. Told you that we were addicted to it.
Its a great game to help with memory we like but it cant compare to Wordscapes but it has beautiful background whoever designed the game shout out you did great keep up the work.
We love this game!!!! We have played 200 levels on our old phone and trust meh its amazinggggg!!! Try it.
Enjoyable game, but we would play it more often if it had fewer and shorter ads. When we get fed up, we move to other games.
The Merge Manson never gave the sign to end and return to the puzzle. There was DONE listed but that did not work. Never showed the x to end it. Stayed on for one hour before we had to turn off our iPhone and restart the game. Only this one commercial was a problem.
If not for the structure of the ads, Id give it 4 stars. Ads are necessary for free games, we appreciate that and dont hold the presence of ads against anyone. But when the ads hide their exit buttons? When we have to exit out of 3 different opt-ins for the same ad, all of which we have to wait for the exit button to appear, and guess /where/ it will appear? Not worth it, and if it continues, Ill find a game whose ads arent sneaky, pushy, and a waste of our time.
We love your game and have been playing off and on for a long time, but your ads have become so aggravating we probably wont play much any more. Sorry.
Have had this app for a while and enjoy it occasionally but the amount of ads lately is ridiculous. Yea, we expect a free app to have ads but not for every time you run out of words, want coins, end a game and want to move to the next level. Minimum watching 2 ads per level no matter what you do. Not worth paying to get rid of ads so dont suggest it.
It wont allow you to watch videos for extra coins or use clue to reveal theme.
They are bad about giving you the same word find only 3-4 puzzles apart. And we no longer can earn points for coming up with words that on not counted.
We don't so much mind the ads, but when the game freezes while an ad is playing, it drives us crazy. This happens all the time.
We really enjoyed this game but now its at the point where we find ourselves spending more time trying how to figure out how to close ads then play the game. Closing ads is not the challenge we are looking for.
This game gives us the freedom of learners no new words and to explore different cultures and pictures.
We love the Word Town games but we find the ads revolting. Either some half naked woman is trying to squeeze herself into too-small shape wear or some cartoon figure is being drowned or burned to death. We skirt the issue by closing the app after every game.
For the past few days, this game has been freezing up.
We love this word puzzle and believe it has expanded our vocabulary. Recently however, when we choose to view an ad in the app, sometimes we get just a blank black screen with sound indicator in one corner, and an unidentifiable icon in another corner. Nothing we do makes an ad begin. In other cases we see a circling arrow in the middle of the screen that just goes on and on. We have to exit the app, come back in, and sometimes that fixes it and sometimes not. PLEASE update the app and repair these problems.
The latest update is not great. Having so few words to find is less challenging and a bit boring.
We do not like the new daily puzzle format where you solve 5 super easy puzzles for a crown. Please go back to the format of a regular daily puzzle. Or even 5 regular puzzles.
We were a a higher level and suddenly we were dropped back to level 1. Why.
Ads after every game. Constant screen freezing, black screens, etc. Annoying to play. Better games available. This one needs a serious upgrade.
Ive been playing this game for a few years now. We really enjoyed it until recently. Ive been having issues and Ive been working with tech support and they say we have to wait until the next release for them to fix it. Terrible customer support. We will be deleting this game. Dont use it, there are plenty of other word games out there.
Not working- cannot access or even get into the game.
It used to be a fun puzzle that took a few minutes to do. Now it is lots of little not challenging puzzles with ads between every one! The ads are hard to X out of. Are they so desperate for money they need to have six or seven ads just to play the daily game? We think Im done with this game.
Talk about greedy! The update that has you do 5 ridiculously easy puzzles for the daily is nothing short of greedy! Having to watch an add after each level has ruined the game. We know your answer will be to pay to remove the ads. We think we already said greedy! Im done with the game.
We really enjoy this game but hate the ads; they are piled on top of each other and come and come. We paid to get rid of the ads and theyre still there.
This game crashes every time we use it. Ive emailed the developer but get no response. We like playing our Town so its a shame we have this constant problem.
The update with the shorter puzzles is far too easy. No challenge = no enjoyment. Why ruin a decent game.
