Wordtouch is a Word/Entertainment game from Ryan Cabell, first launched in 1st February 2019.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 3+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Wordtouch Stand Out

Wordtouch is a fun and challenging word game in which words are formed from a random selection of letters. Try to get the most points by creating high-value words, but remember, only the letters in the top row can be used! Playing a tile will move a column up, requiring you to think horizontally and vertically. Special tiles are worth even more, and bonus points are awarded for clearing columns or the entire board.

Go ahead and play Wordtouch anywhere, no internet connection is required – it's perfect for those long airplane trips.

Community Insight:

We loved Wordsmith on our old TiVo and was looking for a game just like it. This is it! Thank you.

So very glad to see that this app was updated to work with iOS 8 and the new iPhones. Its a favorite among our family and friends. Not to mention there isnt as single other app in the App Store that looks anything like Wordtouch. Its one of a kind! Thanks again.

We love this game, and it's a great implementation, but sometimes we find that a particular day's high scores just vanish. We really hope that bug can be fixed.

Love the "hint" feature when you're stuck with just a few letters left. We're learning words we never heard of. We also like being able to look back at our longest words and highest point words. This is our favorite iPod Touch game and our standard for surviving wait times anywhere we're stuck with time to kill. Very entertaining and educational.

We have had this game for awhile now and it is one of our favorites. Works great and the only thing it may need is something at the end when you use all the tiles besides "there is no more words left or no more tiles" or whatever it says! That we know because we used all of the tiles. It needs a big finish of some type!! Other than that, a nice game.

We would give it four stars because we had to reinstall it because it wouldn't let us enter a word, but it works great and is VERY addicting.

We love this game and our wife and we play it often. The problem for us is that we keep hitting the little score box in the upper right corner when trying to choose a letter under the box. We then seem to hit the new game bar and lose the game we were working on. We have lost so many good "boards" because of the closeness of the box and the letters. Try it. We admit, we are pretty fast but hate to be penalized when a quick re-design would fix the problem for us and anyone else it may bother. Thanks.

We thought it was simple at first but the more you play it the better it gest. Scrabble fans will enjoy the strategy and game play in it. Decent price for the game.

You won't be disappointed at all if you enjoy word building. Not as mind-racking as scrabble as there are more letters with which to work, but better for forming longer more complex words, and thus a better vocab exercise in our opinion. Simple but nice interface, the entire grid of available letters is given from the start so thinking vertically towards later words adds to the strategy. It is just you against your own word making skills, with no time limit, and games are saved where you left off. You can listen to iPod while playing. They have made a fix for the premature ending and this has worked so far. We finally have downloaded a game that will hold our interest. Update: Purchase checkword app as a nice little word look-up utility to enhance wordtouch. Cheap, since it doesn't include definitions, but verifies usuable scrabble words and has nice anagram look-up features.

What a fun little game, and the price is very reasonable. We're enjoying the challenge of thinking both horizontally and vertically to make words. App has not crashed or had any stability problems. Well done.

If you like Scrabble, then you will enjoy playing this. It loads quickly and saves your current game on exit. Highly recommended.

Great game and very entertaining.

We've had this for a few weeks and it's addictive. We find ourselves playing it whenever we have an extra few minutes. We showed it to some family members at a function last week and we couldn't get it out of their hands either. We've had some issues where the game quits even though there are words to play — but we think these are minor bugs that we expect to be fixed soon. Look-and-feel are excellent. Instructions are excellent. Highly recommended to anybody that loves word games. Great job, Spindrift.

This is very similar to the popular word game on TiVo. We are enjoying it very much.

Very fun word game! Similar to scrabble with an added twist of managing columns of letters to maximize scoring potential.

(if you download the game and the blue arrow does not turn green come back to the Wordtouch icon in games and go to Wordtouch Support) If you like word games this one is worth the money. As stated in previous review it can be simple or challenging. We are having a lot of fun since we downloaded again and the blue arrow turns green. We appreciate the great game support information. Quality game.

At first we thought this game was kinda simple…but it's more difficult and fun than it looks. We've been playing it now for hours, playing game after game trying to clear the whole board. This is a great game if you like Scrabble.

We had the "must reinstall app" bug which is mildly annoying. But the real thing keeping this from being a five star app is the poor dictionary. So far it hasn't recognized Mexican and Olympian and several others. It does recognize words that we don't think are actual words too. That said, this is a fun game worth your time and money.

We love the game, but we're wishing that the game can be able to view either side of the landscape, like right now it can view only the iPhone or itouch's Homebutton had to be on the right side, if you turn a device Homebutton to the left side you going to see the game up side down, hopefully they can fix it for the next update. For now we're giving 4 stars.

We really enjoy playing this game. Our one complaint is that sometimes the game ends when there are still obvious words left on the board. It would be great if the application permitted boards with several different sizes.

Wordtouch is generally enjoyable and a pretty good value. The only bug we have found so far is that the game occasionally ends prematurely, declaring that there are no more words to be formed when there is clearly one word remaining. This bug wouldn't be so irksome except for the fact that it deprives you of the opportunity to clear the board and gain the 100-point bonus. Nonetheless, we would recommend this game. Hopefully, a future update will squash the bug and perhaps even enhance the stats feature by listing the top 10 highest scoring words.

This was one of the first apps we bought. We really love word games like scrabble and this one. We wish the interface were a little less clunky, that the game wouldn't end after you're done with all the tiles (levels!), that orientation worked, etc. Lots of initial quirks were addressed in the update, but it's still far from perfect. Responsiveness has DEFINITELY improved.

Sorry, but this upgrade is a bust. After upgrading, and playing only one game, we cannot start a new game. You have ruined our favorite game. We cannot get the game past the (annoying) game tracker for longest word etc. We cannot believe you have no way to bypass the scoreboard for words etc., if it gets frozen. What a bust. Please restore our favorite game and allow us to enable or disable features. Or at least give us a way to restart a game without an act of congress. Shame on you for "improving" a game that was our favorite.

We like the game: fun, simple, passes the time. A couple issues with it, though: after finishing a game, you get a blank screen and have to get back to the home page and re-enter the game. Also, the sound effects are REALLY loud, so you have to turn down your ringer while you play.

This was one of the first games we bought for our iPod Touch and it worked like a charm. However, since the latest update the arrow that appears on the top left side of the screen is no longer lit green. Now when we create a word and touch the arrow nothing happens. Can we get this fixed please as the game is no longer playable.
