The title says it all. The game has amazing bones, but it is balanced such that you cannot win if you are F2P. Youd think that the devs make enough money off of the 3 ads every 2 turns that they put you through, but you also have to hand over money for their stupid in-game currency to win, as the enemy always outnumbers you & does more damage than you.
For us, Ive been playing every day for years and it has never crashed, and we have a horrible iPhone! We beat all the levels using 2,000 gold tops. The game gives you about 2,000 gold at the beginning of each level, 1,000 every time you level up, and 40 to 300 gold for each unit defeated! (The adds give you 100, but we dont need it). Try it yourself. Also, Ive noticed that the one star reviews are spam and show up on most games.
We love the game a lot. We wish there was a Iwo Jima mission. But besides all of that, we love the game.
The game is super fun! We enjoyed playing through it! Love the strategy and tactical decisions that need to be made! We would however, loved it if you incorporated a feature within the custom mode for an increased amount of gold for role play. It would be great to have that experience! Thank you.
Tanks with special abilities. Amphibious tanks. Used in the Japan, this light tank can battle on land and water. Spawn on splie deposit and aircraftcariers, they cant survive heavy cannons. M3 Grant. Used by the U.S.A., the grant is armed with 2 cannons, 1 is very powerful, its unstoppable against Japan tanks. Artillery that can move 2 spaces and mobile on range. Used in both armys (the one that cant move and the one that can, can be pick up onto a transporter). Provided as a AT soport, AT vehicles are the armored madness. The Ho-Ri 2, is a long range AT vehicle. Good on long AT used. The M8A1 is more speedy. And move as far as a transporter. Anti air planes are planes that are good on other planes. The Japanes Zero, and the U.S. Grumman Hellcat are theses anti air planes. Special Tanks and anti air planes cost 700 gold, mobile Artillery cost 1250, fealed is 2500, and tank destroyers are 1500 gold. Special tanks and mobile artillery are unlocked after beating the first level of the 2ed to last series of level, AT tanks are unlocked after completing the first level of the last series of levels, and anti air planes and unlocked after AT LEST playing the first level of the first series of levels ( every primum unit (unit need to be unlocked to play with it)in both factions need to be unlocked idavishaly).
Is there a Version of this game that you can buy with no ADS and unlimited gold or do you still have to buy gold when you buy the game.

We dont understand how some critics have trouble with playing this type of game. We mean, Handy Games productions did just that at creating such a tremendous strategic game! Making the player feel like there are many options to take, and opportunities to advantage of. As for us, we can only say that Im having fun, whenever Im bored of staying in the house. We can only depend on playing some WWII games, by HandyGames.
One it needs more of the planes that were used in that era and u need to add cruisers as well as escort ships and the ability to buy more carriers.
So Ive been playing this game for a while now Ive noticed that theres not one Japanese campaign that. Has the attack on Pearl Harbor mission which we think should be added because it would be really amazing plus you should make a new game where is the Air Force and is America versus whatever other country there is on the axis powers plz make this a thing in the game and also can you please make the Air Force thing a thing.
This is coming from a person who has all of the games in the series, so yeah. Anyways we think a cool game mechanic would be for tanks, if you could have the commander come out of the turret, and it would increase visibility, but theres a catch to that increase of sight, enemy MGs would do more damage when the commander is out. We honestly think its a good idea, but thats the developers decision whether or not to add this mechanic.
This is awesome and we cannot wait for more, Maybe a resistance or Italian themed one.
We don't think you should pay to remove adds but the game is still awesome the first thing we do in the morning we get on our iPad and play this. But this game does kick you off every now and then.but the handy games seiries is still awesome,keep it up developers.
One of our favorites of the Handy Games series in this genre. Although we let it sit on our iPad for quite some time before playing it, once we got going and started to learn the game, we were hooked. Fairly simple learning curve, mastering the game was fun and engaging. Thumbs up to the Developers! Hope you are able to keep the updates and new campaigns coming.

This game is good, but very hard the enemy always wins.
This game is great and very fun to play. We just have some issues with it. Number one is their should be more custom boards. Number two is you guys don't give people enough money when we start main story missions. We also have some suggestions you should make a German army and a Italian army . And add generals.
Its a very good game but it has too many adds.
We love this game to the moon and back but you really need a map editor and map maker sort of thing. Its going to overall add to the atmosphere and enjoyableness to the game. Please add the map maker.
We love the game and graphics. The pass and play is cool, but we have an idea for it. We think it would be awesome if players could create their own pass and play scenario. Other than that, great game.

Objectives are at times impossible without spending money.
You have to pay $2.99 to remove the ads, and then you have to pay more to get more gold. Especially considering the amount of gold it takes to repair units and get units. Other than that great game.
10 seconds in we get an ad and an ad pop up which by the way you cant get rid of Theres a difference between putting ads (dont do) and literally making a ad pop up that covers 1/5 of the screen and can not be deleted You have to spend money to win Another miss greedy developers. Thats not how you get people do spend money we guess you become developers to cheat good people out of there hard earned money, not to make fun games and make people happy, sigh.
The screen is only half full and surrounded by adds and you have to pay to get rid of them. What a scam.
It is to hard to be fun and in a different game you made as a tank that is American but it is Britain.
Its a fun game and great concept but the developers only let you progress so far without paying against an enemy with infinite resources as on the 4th mission for the Americans the Japanese were able to pop up 3 planes immediately after the first 3 were destroyed several times and you dont get much in terms of supplies. Which the enemy doesnt seem to run out of. Which in turn leads you to having to deal with the god awful surveys that dont give you anything.
WARNING ALL OF THESE DEVS GAMES ARE TRASH! Its PAY TO PLAY! Everything you do costs gold and the only way to get gold is pay cash or try to watch videos for 10 gold each if they work!! Everything you do costs 100 gold, most units cost 1,000 – 2,000 gold.!!! Yes this means you spend 20 hours watching videos to buy one unit that dies instantly! You will need to spend 10,000 gold FOR EVERY MAP!! Ive played some maps 20 times and get to the end to just loose the last troops Ive had. Its not designed for anyone to win unless you spend cash! STAY AWAY FROM ALL THEIR GAMES.
Avid lover of this game and we have had all the game on multiple devices for years. We purchased over $20 worth of gold over the years and one day the game wouldnt skip to the next turn. We tested this multiple days for over a week and eventually decided on uninstalling and reinstalling the game but upon reinstallation it took away all of our gold. The restore purchases does nothing and we have looked up many ways to get our gold back to no avail. We use to love all of these games and the creators but we hate being scammed of real money on a mobile game.
Would be 4-5 stars if it wasnt pay to win. Literally impossible to win a single match if you dont buy gold or watch ads for it. Great concept and okay execution just extremely hard and in some parts unrealistic.
You pay $6.99 only to have interruptions for adds in the middle of play…plus the whole game is programmed to have your forces wiped out to incentivize you to purchase more gold. Totally geared to make money off you even after you purchase the game. Dont waste your time or money.
We gave up after about a week. The only real way to have any success is to spend money to buy gold, which is the only realistic way to get enough troops to have a chance. And that money goes quickly.
It looks good but it is not good to play you will hate this app boo this game is horrible waste of our money.

What a surprise. Another free game designed to get you to spend as much money as possible.
We downloaded this game just to check it out and it almost immediately took us to a screen asking us to pay $2.99. We closed this out and then tried to get out of the game by pressing the home button. However instead of taking us out of the game so we could close it out, it charged us the $2.99. We then had to carefully figure out how to exit the game without being charged another $2.99. We then immediately deleted the game from our phone before having even one second of play.
First, we were kind of tricked into paying for the game. When we clicked on the X that we thought would close the ad we were purchasing the remove advertisements add-on. That wouldnt be so bad if we could then play the game. We are constantly killed, there is no setting for difficulty, and additional gold must be purchased to have enough firepower to win. Even the bone they threw is hollow, the option to earn gold by watching commercials only plays so often. All in all, give this game a pass.
It would be a great game if not for the unskipable adds that crash our game and you really shouldn't make people pay to get rid of adds what you should do is give the player an option to watch it for gold many games do this why don't you? Or just make people pay for it up front please read this we really want to like this game but it's just too messed up to deal with, so please think about our review we might get the game if these changes are implemented but until then we're gonna delete it.
We used the survey for free gold and did like 12 surveys and didn't get our 14k gold and we would like our gold spent a very long time on those surveys.
This is a good game, like all other we play from handy games. We only play the WWll ones and Township. Please check our Township rating, we have a suggestion in it. Anyways, we like all the WWll games from handy games and play/have played them all, but we are only rating this one because we play it the most. Nice graphics and fluid gameplay along with very very tough AI. Not suggested for not so good at tactics people. Very good. Like in Township (This is the suggestion we mentioned earlier.)custom maps would be nice, but it would only affect our acting if we could give this game five stars! Keep it up Handygames.
We had a lot of fun playing every single mission in this game and it's satisfying to be promoted to higher ranks. It's very fun to command many units together. You can avoid the ads if you turn off cellular data for the app and you aren't using wifi.
If the creators only had vision. Shameful.
Need to fix constant crashing during pass and play mode at start of opponents turn.
It's a good game and we enjoy it, but there a few things that need improvement. Firstly, we want our $3.99 back. The ads came back not 5 minutes later and keep doing so. Second, we need more units and abilities. Destroyers need torpedoes dang it! Without them they're just tin cans who kill subs. Submarines need a buff. You only do half damage before you're sunk. Cruisers need to be introduced, flat tops need more planes to start and dive bombers need to be put in. Flak also needs to be nerfed as it did not always hit. Battleship guns and armor need to be nerfed. This would be offset by torpedoes on DDs. The game is still barely playable though (provided you have money to spend on extra gold, mind you.).
The game is slow paced and slightly boring. The concept is intriguing and the play style seems desirable. Once you begin, you find yourself slowing down immensely. Each move is a small waste of time.
This game is hard to play. Because you only have a few ships while the Japanese has a fleet and you only have a 1carrier,1battle ship,2sub,and a destroyer. It's no fun please listen to us it's not worth playing it.
