Beecarbonize – Strategy Game Review
![]()
Beecarbonize is a Strategy/Education/Simulation game from Charles Games s.r.o., first launched in 1st March 2023.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 163+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Beecarbonize Stand Out
Research cutting-edge technologies, enact policies, protect ecosystems, and modernize industry to cut down carbon emissions. Manage your resources well and you might survive.
ACCESSIBLE, BUT COMPLEX SIMULATION
Will you favor industrial reforms, nature conservation or people initiatives? There are many ways to solve climate change and reduce pollution. But saving the planet is not an easy task. The more carbon emissions you produce the more extreme events you will have to deal with.
STEER SOCIETY & INDUSTRY
You have to balance the power-generating industry, social reforms, ecological policies and scientific endeavors. Will you transition from fossil fuels as fast as possible? Or will you focus on carbon capture technologies first? Experiment with new strategies and don’t be afraid to start again.
235 UNIQUE CARDS
Game cards represent inventions, laws, social advancements, or industries – each designed on the basis of real-world climate science. In addition, partially randomized world events occur, forcing you to adapt your strategy. Gradually unlock new cards in the game encyclopedia and chart your path towards a new future.
IMPACTFUL EVENTS, HIGH REPLAYABILITY
The world of Beecarbonize reacts to your actions. More emissions mean more floods or heatwaves, investing in nuclear power raises the risk of a nuclear incident, and so on. Learn more with each run and you might overcome environmental catastrophes, social unrest, and even avert the end of life on earth.
Beecarbonize is a strategic challenge that lets you experience phenomena shaping our everyday lives hands-on. Just how many seasons can you last?
NEW HARDCORE MODE
We are introducing Hardcore mode, the ultimate challenge in Beecarbonize for experienced players. In Hardcore mode you will face the harsh reality of climate change. Can you defy the odds and save the planet even in this extreme scenario?

Community Insight:
We love this game! Super fun with no bombardment of ads. It requires real strategy and brain power and helps us not just rot on our phone. PLEASE ADD AN INFINITE MODE. We were so sad when we won for the first time and couldnt keep playing. Fantastic game still.
It has a great vibe and all the little things just add to the amazing core loop.
Overall really good game. Like the concept of saving the Earth. We also like that you can pause, speed up, and play a t normal speed. Ive been looking into the devs games and we can tell you guys know what youre doing.(The apps the make historical fiction, dark phycological, etc.) thanks for making a game with no ads too. (we hate ads in games) for a consumer getting this app: dont quit when you lose, there is way more to the game than you think! Also there is hardcore mode for people who are really good at the game! Not to mention the multiple parts you can compete. Thanks devs looking forward to future updates.
Honestly one of the most entertaining games. The design is so simple and the UI is phenomenal, and while its very hard to play at first you get the hang of it and thats when it gets addicting. We wish the team luck because they got a great game, they just need to market it more.
Awesome and fun, also no micro transactions as far as we can tell. Also educational and shows the difficulty of achieving carbon neutrality in our world.
At first it seemed really innovative and interesting, but the more we play it, the more we notice its limitations, and the more annoying its fatuous crisis become. At this point we just deleted the app after being thrown a series of supposed global crisis that threatened the entire civilization, all of which were labeled Garbage Landslides. Its dumb enough that the designers have decreed that such an event would ever threaten the global climate, but the fact that they re-use this insultingly fatuous crisis over and over speaks of a lack of effort on the part of the game designers, like at some point they just quit working and called it a wrap no matter how stupid the scenarios they had created. Such a shame. So much potential squandered for just another stupid tablet game. If youre looking for a new version of solitaire, this might suffice, but if you were hoping for a remotely realistic model for the central human challenge of our times, this cartoonish caricature will disappoint.
The game is complex but simple at the same time and we like how everything works to balance the gameplay and there are genuinely many strategies to beat the game.
Zero complaints, except that it isnt long enough. Unique fun gameplay, free to download, simple rules, quick to learn yet challenging enough, zero ads, and the games encyclopedia tells you everything.
This is most likely going to be short, since its pretty self explanatory but, once you get rid of the industrial 20th century factory, and use renewables [including windmills, hydro power, etc] it becomes really easy to deal with emissions. But its still an amazing game, and extremely high quality for a mobile game.
Similar to cultist simulator but more simple. Very fun but relatively short, didnt take long to get all the win conditions. Some achievements or some sort of progression would add extra playability.
This was a nice little game that we enjoyed quite a bit. It was difficult at first, until we realized what we were actually supposed to do. The tutorial did a decent job of teaching the basic controls, but isnt great at telling you what your actually supposed to be doing. But after a few games we understood the actual goal, and havent lost a game sense. Basically, you are wanting to get a hold of one of five special golden cards (upgrade cards with a star enough). Once you get one, you win. You lose if too many disasters happen at once or people starve. Just make sure youre producing money faster than people, and try to avoid any cards that increase carbon production, and pretty soon you can negate or completely eliminate carbon production entirely, and from there its a cake walk to victory. Give it a try, its a relaxing little time killer that doesnt force in app purchases or ads down your throat (Ive seen none of either). Nor does it feel preachy even though the games main purpose is obviously to try and make people think about their carbon footprint more.
Its really fun but we feel like there should be some extra challenge modes for after you complete the whole encyclopedia. We feel like it would add some extra replayability to the game, but its a really fun game.
A really fun and simple civilization type game. Once you recognize the different cards and what they do, you can optimize the pollution in the green and yellow zone and have fun exploring the different cards. Won a couple times and then tried maxing out everything before winning. The developers might want to add a quick coin add or something that puts the total amount instantly when buying the cards. When we were adding the same cards over and over again, they were taking forever to buy because we had to individually put in like 300 coins per section. But, thats only an issue if you were messing around with the limits of the game like us. Fun fun fun.
Its so fun but so hard you enjoy it then want to strangle everybody and everything around you.
The game 11/10. There is no question about it. The logistics are just incredible. There is so many different ways to build your strategy – its incredible. There is only ONE huge thing. The game is easy if you ignore the speed, we.e. The amount of rounds you need before winning the game. But once you introduce the aspect of winning the game quickly, a whole new strategic nuances come into play. You absolutely have to create a GameCenter integration where people can compete based on how quickly they solved the game. It will take the logistics of the game to a whole new level.
Ive only been playing for maybe an hour and Im obsessed at this point. With climate events completely random, you have to be careful how and when you use your resources. Thankfully theres a pause button if you need a moment to think or study a new card. Would be cool to see challenges added (not that Im any good at those, but we know puzzle solvers would love it lol), but overall its a great standalone game.
This game is truly the greatest mobile game, we will write each pro now: 1: the art style is beautiful and interesting, it all looks so cool. 2: the gameplay is interesting and different, not a basic puzzle game. 3: infinite replay-ability as no two games are exactly the same. 4: ZERO ads, and we mean ZERO. We cannot recommend this game enough.
There's not much we can say that other people haven't. We just have 1 question. Why is it called beecarbonize when the game is not even focused on bees or bee related things.
We like this game and think its a fun experience.
This game is so cool and we really like that its based of climate change and its effect also really creative ideas maybe one day they could use some of these things in real life to save earth if we had the technology of course yet there other things beside that this game is challenging and fun.
This game is one of the very few that we have kept. It has the exact amount of difficulty to keep it interesting, and winning feels better because it was so hard. We also like the fact that a lot of the cards work together in order to keep the emissions down. Altogether, this is an excellent game and we would definitely recommend playing it to other people.
So much fun!!! Good theme, makes you think, however not much replay-ability in our opinion.
This game is super fun to play.
This is a great game for learning and playing, because its funded it has no adds, is free, and is a great well made game.
This game is a little tricky at first, but WOW we have VERY much enjoyed the replay-ability of this game! After defeating it (even through its 5+ different endings) we craved more from this game and so we have challenged ourselves! We have beaten this game by using ONLY fossil fuels as a source of power, and in a different scenario, we beat this game without the help of the environment- with this, we think that you all could implement a challenge mode or disaster-scenario with tougher mechanics. Despite this- amazing game with an AMAZING message and educational foundation to it! This game has exceeded our expectations for an entertaining method to increase discussion about climate change! We hope that this picks up in popularity and we see huge potential in this! Thank you so much to the developers from the bottom of our heart as a determined and excited atmospheric scientist and climate change enthusiast who appreciates a very well done and perfectly designed game like this.
Great new game from Charles Games. This one is a system balancing sim that requires you to build industry while balancing society, environment, and science research. Fun to play, good for educational purposes too. Would like a bit more tutorial in the beginning and some info about the cards (we didnt understand why certain cards had the effect that they did). Overall recommended to try, especially because its free!! How many free to play games can you find these days without micro transactions.
This game is awesome. It can be a little tricky getting started but once you know what cards do its a great time. Im working on finishing the last way to beat the game(there are 5). We hope the game keeps getting updated and maybe add in different cards or game modes.
It seems like it could be a fun game once you understand how to play, however we could not get to that point because the tutorial didnt really help us understand the basics of the game. This could just be a problem with us and not the game, but we dont know.
Great gameplay, very fun for a single solve but not great replay value. Would be helpful to have multiple scenarios or levels to beat. Major loophole is strategically adding/removing cards from play at different times. For example, you can remove your starting industry card immediately before producing money, which eliminates the 20 emissions. Then add the card back immediately after money production to speed up the industry clock again. Overall very nice game, looking forward to a few updates.
The game is satisfying with its gameplay of trying to balance out emissions and production, but there is a problem: You can easily cheese the game by destroying the starter card for industry that you are given at the beginning of the game pretty early on, which basically removes the challenge. We suggest removing the option to do that.
Really it's a great game, but it can be 100% completed in just a few hours. Game play is fun at first and we're actually impressed at how unique it is and not just a copy of another game. But once you understand how to play and you've collected all cards and endings that's it. We enjoyed this game a lot and would love to see more updates with custom scenarios or really just more content overall. It's not one of the best games we've ever played, but it honestly is better than most. And hey it's free with no ads which is a huge plus! Great job on what there is so far, we just wish there was more.
