Well our partner plays like we do at times when we kick ourselves for a flub up. We would think the partner programming would be a bit more intuitive.
Our parents played 42 and 88 a LOT. This is as close as it gets. Imperfect like playing with a real person. Would love to see moon an 88 also.

The game would be perfect if you allowed an option to have doubles as a separate suit when doing nello.
We really enjoyed playing this game, but the other players make some really silly moves and always seem to bid in blanks even if they dont have any.
We like this game. Its like all these games, its programmed for you to win about 65-70% of the time. Our frusturation with this game is it has a setting for your partner to be smart or not. We play with a partner that is supposed to be smart, but he plays terrible hands, especially in nello. Either his smart logic isnt working, or he purposely loses. But the game works as a time killer.
Partner is overbidding with losses a lot. Overbidding hands.
When you set this game to force bids, whoever is forced to bid always picks blanks as trump suit – even if they have none in their hand. It doesnt make any sense at all. Huge bug that needs to be fixed.
Its a decent game to kill some time. Partner is really dumb, even if you pay for it. You should be able to play seven hands before a new game is started and should be able to play nello without paying for it. The algorithm plays very strange at times and you may have streaks where youre hot and other streaks where no matter what you bid someone else will bid you up. There have even been a few times when we bid 2 marks and because the app cant outbid us, it locks up and closes and we have to start a new game.
We love playing Texas 42 and have been playing many years, as did our parents and grandparents. This online game is a little different than the version we play in person. It is aggravating because in this game, there is always a 5 or 6 as an off, and that does not happen that often in real life. Also online, forced bidding just happens randomly, 5 or 6 times to the person to our left or right and never to our partner and seldom to us. In an in-person game, the person who shuffles gets the last bid and we take turns shuffling so if everyone passes, the shuffler is forced to bid. The same person is not forced to bid, over and over. These two faults cause us to quickly lose interest, although it is a good place to start if someone is a beginner.
The partner is too too dumb & with a bad hand, will way over bid your good hand just to make you lose. Very frustrating.
Not super impressed with the free version. Question the shuffle. Is it really random? Also question having to play with the dumb partner. Not good.
We play the free version. Been playing for a few years seems like the outcome is predetermined. Very aggravating how bad computer partner plays. We read other reviews that the say pay version partner is still dumb.
The play of hands is not much at all how a 42 hand would be played. Also at Nello there is no option for how doubles are played. It is a fun game but not realistic. Should add an option to play 7s.
The computer does not recognize the trumps somebody can play a double five and the Trump is four and you have one Trump left. They will say you lost the game.! We have been playing this game now for about a year and a half. We wish they would make it realistic like if youre at the end of the game, maybe theres two places left. They will give away a double six and a0 one. We would prefer to it to be more realistic, so you could really learn to play.
No partner is ever going to play back trumps if you two are the only one with them. Theyll play an off so the two of you can flip flop and take the tricks. Very annoying and thats not the only example.
In real life play when you have the bid you dont play trump out when you have the last trump. If your partner doesnt take over, its an automatic loss.
It will teach, but it will reneg.
Partners do not overbid each other unless they have a hand with three high trumps or a good nello hand.
The Smart Partner is just as stupid as the regular one. What a scam.
Ive seen several occasions where our partner played a domino that was counter to an appropriate move. Also, In nello, a setting domino was not played but held to the next play when it was worthless. Im tired of losing due to faulty programming.

Not many play this game anymore. We have few family members that know how. But, we can keep our skills sharp and still enjoy playing 42 as we have done since our childhood.
The app player rarely gets a hand to bid on that can be successful. 75% of hands dealt will have 5 dominos that are a blank or ace of some suit. We love this game but maybe allow the app user more hands to bid on.
Im playing free so far but probably will upgrade for options. Seems worth the full $10.
We have enjoyed playing 42 online.
New to the game. It has been a nice training aid. We guess. Other commenters seem to be seasoned players. We do not like how once a bid is made every other person Just passes. We would like to see tips there. We would like to be able to play with other humans. We would like to see an improved training feature with strategy tips. Over all it has been fun.
This game begins back great good times with family.
It seemed like the ai in this app does a pretty fair job of making correct plays. New game to us but quickly becoming a favorite. We don't think we will be paying 10 bucks for the options though.
We would like to see A Moon game.
We think the person who made this likely made a good app, but for it to function well we think you have to pay for it to make it smart. We are on the free version and everyone but us seems to make legal plays but they are stupid plays.
Since we started playing this online version of 42 we cant stop playing. We do love this game. We did see a review about the AI give a win to his opponent and that has happened to us. We also would like the option of doubles as a suit if their own in nel-o.
This is far and away the best 42 game on the market. 42 is a game that is dieing off in communities. We play this game a lot since we can not find a group of 4 that know how to play the game. Request a system update that incorporates the rules for 7s. If you add this, the product will be near perfect.
It is really fun for beginners because we had no clue how to play but now we are starting to learn how to play dominions it is really good.
We paid for a good partner. But the one we got always trumps our good domino then we lose the game on his loser.
On the last trick, we played a six blank. Our first opponent played a double ace. Our partner played a double 3. The next opponent plated 4 Ace. The trick was accredited to our opponents. There is no way any of those dominoes should have taken our six blank. We lost the game because of this. We have played 42 for about 70 years, starting when we were a toddler sitting on our grandmothers lap, and playing as an adult since we were 12. We can see that others have had the same problem. Please fix it. We love the game but we dont like it when scoring is wrong.
Play it every morning for 30 minutes to wake our brain. LOL Im 80.
We are learning to play 42 with this app. We think its fun.
We have always enjoyed this game. The only thing, we have always played that doubles were a class of their own . We cannot find the option to do that here. Therefore we lose a lot more Because we forget! We still like It!! Mary.

Love this game! We play it all the time! One of our favorite games too.
There is no Low Boy bid or Splash bid if you have 3 doubles.
They lead with trumps that they cant win. Stupid armature mistakes. We want genius players.
We loved playing this when we lived in Texas. Now that Im not in the South, we cant find anyone who plays. This has really sharpened our skills so if we can ever find other players, Ill be ready.
