This game is a great little war simulator set in a fantasy setting. Our only gripe which is very minor one is there's no "battle" music you kinda get hyped to see this big battle but it's all quiet.

Like a chess match for the setup, then you get to watch the battle play out! Single device multiplayer is awesome, needs all troop types.
Don't let the simple graphics fool ya, besides they add to the charm! This game is simple and solid… No bugs to speak of. ITs not like watching a movie and full of bling… It's like watching Zelda battles… Fun though.. Almost like strategy except they really fight haha … Have fun.

Very fun game with nice style. We've always loved the 8 bit style especially with a medieval touch. We found this game very fun, but like most games it still needs some additions to it. We'd suggest some better tools for sandbox, a different multiplayer layout, rather than having to login to Game Center. Needs a few more bug fixes on sandbox mode, for it will crash in times when the battle is to rough. Easy 5 stars for us though. Fun easy (or hard) game to play.
Very simple gameplay that gets more complex as you play, while still maintaining a rather casual gameplay experience. Very fun to experiment with all the different units and combos, and towards the end it gets quite challenging. Very fun and has six games worth of content for the price of one. Buy it.

The game is based entirely on strategy. There are barely any op units and the game is not overly easy with quite a bit of, "What strategy can we come up with and will it work?" moments.

Stop reading and hit the download button. One word of caution: when your eyes are bloodshot in the night and you can't seem to take your thumbs away from the amazing middle-aged masterpiece that this game is. Don't complain. Ya, it's that good.

It's a fun little game…throw back graphics. It's not complex but does take some strategic thinking. We got the game for free so if there's a paid version we can't comment on value but we've had fun in the first 3 worlds so far.
When we first got this game we definitely thought it would be a typical repeat of retro graphic mini game. But after sucking ourselves out of it after three hours we couldn't be more wrong! This game is so charming in its throwback graphic, it's challenging gameplay, and it's wonderful strategy based system. Replay value is high, multiplayer value is also very high. Definitely deserving of all five stars.

Wow, this game is so great. We like to try to write reviews that help the creator update the game to make it better, but we have found nothing wrong with the game yet. It's a good game because it doesn't tell you how to play. When you put down your troops, you have a lot of options, from making separate groups to fight certain enemies, or (what we do) just make one giant group of archers to mass murder everything . In all seriousness though, this game is great and if you have app gratis like ourselves you can get it free today. We forgot to mention that the number of levels is great. And the fact that you can have three difficulties is also great. We will be buying all the other games like this from now on.

This game is one of, if not the best 8bit games we've ever played.
Lots of fun for hours and hours.
This game is so addicting, one of the most fun strategy games we've played, in a while, it has a nice count of different classes and tons of levels. The sandbox and multiplayer settings are also a great feature to the game. So if you'd rather spend some time, in sandbox, trying to find out what the best combinations are, you can do just that and demolish the enemies with your party, in the single player mode, later. It's a nice change, from what we usually play, we adore it.
We wish it tracked total stars per area rather than the lowest star rank per level. For example: if you get 3 stars on 19 of the battles and 1 star on one, it shows one star for that area. It would reflect your progress better if it displayed 58/60 stars.

Nice 8bit graphics and music, back us to the atmosphere of a good classic 90th console games. Fun and interesting.
