This game is awesome, almost better just like gta 3, especially vice city stories. Masterpiece! Will be goaling to 100 completion soon or one day.
Just a really cool game overall age really well it has a great story as well and has a good gameplay.
Amazing another GTA game to add to the collection.
This is a great redition of the game and has all the original nostalgia, the only small problem is that when playing personal music with the GTALCS mixtape station, the game doesnt funtion properly on missions and all other audio cuts out. Also music continues to play when exiting vehicles.
Its very good its worth the money, but why not put vice city stories to the App Store.

GTA Liberty City Stories is a very nice handheld GTA game, and we finished it just two weeks after finishing Chinatown Wars. Both games are handheld and very suitable for mobile devices. As a prequel of GTA 3, in the story part, it makes some familiar characters present again and shows the other sides of them, which is great for the players who have finished GTA 3 first. For gameplay, its more advanced than GTA 3, and very similar to Vice City, with a fully 3D open world, which is amazing for a handheld game developed in 2005. In conclusion, Liberty City Stories is really recommended for the players who love GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas. This game will absolutely bring us back to the time when we first time playing GTA games and get us nostalgic.
This is a really great game! And Im so glad that Rockstar was able to port this game on the App Store. The only real problem we have with this game is that when it comes to driving a bike in this game. Because when you try to hit the break to make a turn, your bike will swirl like crazy and knock you off the bike. But thats really it tho :).
The game itself remains great. Loved playing this on PSP, and trying it on our phone now with a Backbone controller has been great. Only minor complaint is that UI elements like the map are RIGHT at the corner of your screen (note Im on a 16 Pro) and can be cut off easily. Would be nice if there were a way to move it away from the edge of the screen.

This game runs very very smooth and it runs amazing, we just wish San Andreas ran this smooth aswell. We love San Andreas its one of our favorite gta games created by rockstar games. So please make San Andreas run like this game. :)).
First time playing liberty city stories and we have to say we like it especially how they have a mobile version and its running like how it is expected for an old game :).
This game is not bad But this is the only thing we gotta say thats making us get a smile so you can actually play this game for 30 minutes without having to sign in with sometimes kids just wanna play the game.

Liberty yall are the best game ever since we played it (stealing cars cops criminal underworld racing through the streets and crashing in the car killing shooting running over people) PLZZ ADD NEW HOME SO THE PEOPLE WHO IS PLAYING IT CAN STEAL THE HOUSE AND HAVE A HOUSE.

Performs and controls well, bite sized short missions and content lend itself very well to the mobile platform, and we really enjoy the little bit of character customization available via outfits. If youre looking for a fun GTA experience on the go, we really enjoy this one.

We like the thing that you can do whatever you want in liberty city but every time we play music it just feels empty because the fact that it doesnt allow Apple Music so we were mad at this but these stories.
Review date: 12.2025 Purchased game 2-months back but the last 2-weeks; game unexpectedly crashes constantly & no new missions load (appear). On iPhone 13 running on iOS 26.1. Development Team: thoughts? Assistance.

Technically speaking it's perfect on our iPad Air M2, it's a great port. The actual source material has always just been one of the mid- to lower-tier GTA games. You have to understand it was mainly designed as a sort of proof of concept, just to show that GTA on a device like the PSP was even possible. In that sense, it really was amazing 20 years ago. But today, we'd definitely recommend playing any of the mainline console GTAs (or Vice City Stories, if you can emulate) before LCS. But even an adequate GTA game is still good fun.
