This game makes us shiver but we dont want to stop!! For some reason it gives us the creeps. It’s such a fun brain game where you have to get through hard moving pathways. ` we love it so much. It really gets your brain moving.

And excellent story line for MV 1 and 2.
We are not the type of person to play games but this one we enjoyed so much. The graphics are absolutely beautiful and the music is so amazing. The combination of the two creates a puzzle like game with a beautiful story like. Simplistic yet so so fun and a little challenging this is by far the best game to ever grace the App Store.
We have a special place in our heart for this game. We’ve had it since highschool and recently redownloaded and finished it- its helpful to us during pre-sleep/woke-up-too-early anxiety and we wish there were more levels. Really thinking about buying #2, we hope there are a bunch more levels for the price, and ida is so cute!! Love the ending.
This game is amazing! We remember when we were playing on our tablet and came across this. We were five years old. We blasted through these puzzles like it was nothing, and played it again and again like 75 times. We were super excited when you guys came out with the sequel. We hope you guys are continuing to make beautiful games like this. We cant wait to see Monument Valley 3!
We dont really play games anymore but this one is so good ! The storyline is beautiful, the visuals are stunning, n the game play is easy/challenging enough to where we want people of all ages to try it out. This is the first time we spent money on a game app too n honestly im so willing to buy both games rn ! We also never leave reviews so we swear its good !!!

We love, love LOVE this game!!! This one, MV2 AND MV Forgotten Shores. The last chapter of the latter was quite a challenge and we loved that about it. Even as old as this game is, we’ve never deleted it from our phone and we play it over and over again. We wish so badly these developers works create a sequel!!
This is the best game we’ve ever played in our entire life !! 10/10 we recommend .. We beat both monument valley and monument valley 2 . We think there should be a third one and more boards added so it can last longer because we finished in less then a week (would of been sooner)
Blown away by how good this was. Incredible art. Lovely story. And full of puzzles that are challenging enough to make us feel smart but not so challenging we feel stupid rarely tedious or repetitive. Every level brings new and unique features. Literally so good in every way.
Our husband has play all of these game, at least 10 times or more. We cant get enough of your games. Please please, make more. We will be waiting. Thank you so much Jeannine and Bill W.
This is one of the few iOS games we’ve truly enjoyed. The storyline is deeper than expected, the puzzles are challenging and rewarding with a unique twist, and the art is gorgeous. A gem in the rough. 10000% worth the purchase (one time! No awful freemium model) for both the original and the DLC. This game reminds us of Gris.

We ADORE this game. We have been playing it for years at this point, revisiting it any time our anxiety gets too high or our ADHD thoughts get too overwhelming. Challenging and beautiful and amazing game that fills your head with puzzles. Makes your mind work in unexpected ways and challenges you think inside the box (later level). Puzzles rely on navigation in 3D through optical illusions. Its a lot of fun but this was also one of the shortest iPad games we’ve ever played.
Okay this is a lovely game but we wish it was not so hard! When we asked our mom to download this game we did not know it was very hard cuz when we got too the bothersome crow people part we did not like it at all please make it less confusing for others!
We used to play this game on our dads phone with him but we still play it a lot. Get this app! We love Ida so much and the crow people. P.S. Dear Developers: we would rate 5 stars only 4 theres a level we cant beat so tell us how but we are very pleased with your game.
We love the concept of these games, the graphics, and the illusions, but they are repetitive and way too easy. We would love to find a more challenging version. We could also do without the cover story.

Bought this game because we remember playing it on our kindle as a little kid. The kindle subscription gave the game and apparently the expansion as a part of the device bundle for free. After beating the game in under an hour, we realized all the best levels are a part of the forgotten shores expansion. Its a disappointingly short game for the price they charge, and a rip off to charge another two bucks for a few more levels. Definitely the last time we pay for a game without knowing exactly what value Im getting. If youre looking for a game that you can play without feeling its a rip off, dont bother with it. The animations are beautiful, and the game is kind of fun, but its anticlimactic. Three stars for what it once was.
We loved playing this game but didnt realize there were only 8 or so levels. Not worth the price in our opinion. Its beautifully designed and interesting but would just expect a little more game play.
Way too short for a paid game.
We really wanted it to be a fun game but we played three levels and deleted it. The amount of time it takes for you to move in between levels is ridiculous and frankly the entire game looks like a 5 year old discovered transitions in Microsoft PowerPoint because everything that happens has like a 1 minute animation ugh.
Ok to start the game has really good graphics and we never experienced any lag but Im still beating it. If your looking for a puzzle game go with this it worth the price. Whats also convenient is there are no ads people say there are a lot of glitches but we have never experienced any (if there are any) they can just be hard to notice but all in all its the barest way to spend your time if you like being challlinged.
We want to play more of this games, please make more.

In Monument Valley, you wander through a beautiful world of castles, sunsets and towers that seem to reach the moon. In this completely kid-friendly puzzle game, you have to be prepared to cast aside the most basic concepts, even those such as gravity. Some of these are so complex that we cant find the words to describe it. Heck, some of this stuff is SIMPLE the way it works, yet we still cannot give it a label. With stunning music, challenging puzzles, and a captivating storyline, this game has it all. Beautiful Monuments, skies, and a whole little world of wonder await you in Monument Valley. They could charge a full 10$ for this game, and we promise it would still be worth it. While the storyline itself takes some rather sophisticated comprehension skills to understand (though does any player REALLY understand the story?), kids with growing minds will benefit from the challenges presented by the puzzles anyway. And once youre able to comprehend the story, the game gets so much better. This one game, in our opinion, is the best of its genre so far. Anyone whos played this game will agree, it is truly an unforgettable experience.
Beautiful, calming atmosphere, but challenging enough to make it engaging. We just wish it were longer, and maybe had a hint system or something.

This is a great game but the last level is the hardest we dont think its even possible its the infinite triangle thats impossible! But we really love it looks great lovely music so we think its 10/10 we’ve already restarted the game we like it so much.
Glad to revisit this series. The add on is as good as the originals. Id gladly pay to have a full 3rd Version. Still one of the most enjoyable games in the App Store. Monument Valley and all its versions are an excellent way to relax while working your mind in new ways.
We were recommended this by our psychiatrist,Ive had 3 brain surgeries and cranial radiation so we have some cognitive problems and memory issues so this has been a great homework assignment. And we have replayed it many times as we dont remember it very well then they added more.
When we got this game we just wanted an illusion but when we played it for the first time we were blown away by how the illusions go with game, would recommend.
The most beautiful app created! We ~never~ buy apps, but splurged on this one. It was absolutely worth the money. The best part is that it is fun and challenging to do over and over again. We just reset our progress when we finish the main game and Forgotten Shores. We only wish we had bought this sooner!
We absolutely fell in love with this game and Ida and Totem! Visually beautiful yet simple. Music is calming. Puzzles are challenging but not impossible. We were hoping for more levels but it was a very satisfying game. We did the solo game and also purchased the extra chapters. Story was a little vague but that kind of added to the mystique. LOVE this game (and MV2, too)!
We just discovered that we can purchase 8 more levels called forgotten shores. We are not sure why we never noticed that. It was fun It was 1.99 you can purchase it separately if you go to monument valley in the App Store you should see forgotten shores. You need to select that manually in the app to start that after you finish playing MV. Fun game. Like a puzzle Music is good too.
We stumbled upon this game, while looking for another game. We’re not much of a gamer, so take that into consideration when reading this. Most games don’t hold much interest for us since they are about battling or racing against a clock. If we get involved in a game, it has to be relaxing. This game is abundant in great design, a simple, yet mysterious narrative, and visually amazing problem solving, and a nice, ambient soundtrack. We love that it plays on the art of M.C. Escher (a learning opportunity when playing it with our 7 year old.) our son and we actually gasped at certain areas of discovery. We must underline the fact that ‘Ida’ doesn’t have to physically battle Bosses or have to keep repeating levels from being killed. Yes, we’re talking about you, factory robot! Our two sons, who are both typical gamers, think this game is awesome. We can’t wait to savor the additional add-on and Monument Valley 2.
This is an awesome game of tricks and illusions. It is definitely the kind of game we would finish in a day because it is so fun!!
READ IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THE STORYLINE THIS. GAME. IS. AMAZING. We love this game and its amazing. Even though a lot of people dont understand the storyline. We for one, have an idea on it. Idas mother was queen of birds.(tomb in chapter 9 belongs to Idas mother) When she passed away, Ida inherited the throne. In one level, ida is called a thieving princess by a spirit. This is because Ida stole the sacred monuments. Because of that crime, Ida lost her title as queen of the birds. She wasnt the only one who suffered loss. The birds also lost their color and more importantly, their wings. The birds hated and blamed Ida. Thats why they would screech in her face and block her path in the game. The game is called A Quest For Forgiveness because Ida wants her former subjects to forgive her. If they dont forgive her, she will never rule again and her former subjects will be forced to be crows forever. She wants them to forgive her. To make them forgive her, she must return the monuments. When you finish the game, you watch a end scene where Ida and the crows stand together. There is a flash of light, and one crow stands there, WITH their COLORS AND WINGS. There are more flashes of light, and soon all of them are in the air. They have forgiven Ida. Ida lifts her arms into the air and a crown appears. Her crown. The moment it touches her head, she is in her original form:Queen of the birds. Ida and her subjects then fly away into the sky to start a new life. – And… BAM PEOPLES!!!!!!!
