So we have been playing this game for about a year and we love it. There is a few problemsbugs. One time we were playing as the Soviet Union in the cold war and we had a MASSIVE army of about ~700,000 with the poland as our puppet state. When we moved it into their land to fight a rebellion, the game just gave all our troops to poland! Also, we had a bunch of troops deployed in Germany and For some reason, all our puppets declared war on us but it still said they were our puppets. Final thing in general. When you have a puppet state,your allies can declare war on them. Its really annoying because we have to chose sides. Its a great game overall though.
To be honest, we think more features could be added like: modding the non-definitive game without jailbreaking or using sideloaders. And the ability to import photos as flags, create custom ideologies, and download maps.

This game is amazing and extremely simple which is good if you just want to relax and not really put brain power. Yet the game is buggy and doesnt allow for much expansion. Still it is an amazing game and if youre looking to buy it, you should.

We are not wanting to rate it 5 stars, but we did so people will see it. For some odd we randomly freezing in wars, and there is no way to fix it for some reason.
Yeah we love the game very much but well Ive had it crash mid game before only twice though.
We heard the ai was horrible on this after playing it a while and we were confused because in our opinion its how we would have probably moved ours too the only thing we find weird is they wont trade for our/theres land but too be honest it makes sense only thing we need to say is you should add it where effects happen and we understand this game is no longer really a concern but we love it! Please do it! More people will like it! Also ready for the fourth one since the even numbers have been good (aka 2 and soon to be 4!).
Good game just glitchy on low end devices, but we expected that, good game idea and creation.

Awesome game, of course there could always be more but from the ai competitiveness keeping borders shifting, managing diplomacy, economy, your army, vassals, alliances, ultimatums, your countrys knowledge, being able to create your own scenarios, the different already playable scenarios(periods in time) .just awesome man, keep going we had to dive into google to figure it out but the playable timelines are pretty much from like 5000bc – 5000ad .once you pick your scenario be sure to zoom out to scan the whole map cause theres places you wouldnt expect like playable native americans, different native mexican &south american tribes(aztec, maya etc).
Pls lukaz never take this game down. We love it it is perfect and any updates are heavily appreciated . The only thing we could recommend is maybe technology for defense and attack bonus but we dont even really care game is amazing.
The game is good, but it wont allow us to get/it stops at 99.
We love this game soooooo much its like Hoi4 we would want them to add the Seven years war.
We need more maps like Ww1 the Cold War or 55 days at Peking we just want Ww1.
We've been playing this game for a year now and love being able to fight for control and make peace pacts with other nations; it feels like we're actually a leader of a country. With all the good being said, it truly needs works. When playing on a scenario there should be a chance were governments are intelligent enough to change governments and kings as time passes giving the feeling that nations evolve instead of remaining the same forever. Relations with time sets to 0 it leaves you wondering where you stand with another country and kills any chance to make deals based on relations since it's been bugged to stay at 0. The game is amazing and we'll continue playing it but we believe the devs have to fix a few bugs and add newer features along with making the ai more free will based instead of robotic and predictable.
This game is the best strategy game Ive ever played.
We first bought this game a few years back, as at the time, it was the only grand strategy that we could afford. Needless to say, since we had no reference for what quality grand strategy was, we played the heck outta this game. So even though this game is VERY primitive, we still hold it in high regard. What made us write this review was the release of its sequel AOH3. Now that we have played a bit of it, we can safely say that is is light years better than this one in terms of quality and features. HOWEVER, that does not mean what was played before it wasnt good. This game helped us through a ton of rough times, and for that we will always be grateful. So, in summary, we want to leave this review as a means of parting ways. Thank you AOH2 for all the memories, thank you Lucas for these incredible games, and thanks AOH3 for improving a classic and the future memories.
Fun and simple, crashes often but what can you expect.
We have been playing this game for about 3 years and this game is a must play. If you love games like HOI4 then you would love this. We personally struggle playing HOI4 due to its complexity, but this game is a perfect mix of complexity and simplicity. If you want to get into the genre of map strategy games, then we would highly recommend this. Excited for AOH3.
Fun game, we dont really see glitches other than when an AI country forma another one or changes ideology the flag either shows up as the neutral flag, an upside down world map, or the leaders image. Also, it is annoying that when a country declares war on you, it doesnt pop up as an un next turn able pop up until like 3 turns afterwards, in which we have already lost land. We hope these things will be fixed in Age of History 3 when it releases October 23rd.
We adore this game with our heart. This came out so long ago has not updated but yet there so good. This is the best replacement for hearts of iron 4 if we dont have time to learn all the mechanics overall this is probably the best history game Ive played.

The game is a great game. It needs an update on leaders nations. Also you should be allowed to invest into military equipment, change policies, nuclear weapons, and the United Nations also you need to add real life alliances to make it even better and more realistic other than that this game is probably 10 out of 10.

Absolutely amazing game. Ive had the game on Steam for over a year with around 25 hours on it and its addictive to play. We love the customization and scenarios you can play. We love how not everything is war centered and you gan develop relationships with other countries, build your nation, and even strengthen your economy. The game is rather simple to play and learn. Ive never been a huge fan of TBS games but this right here makes us reconsider.
As a historian and a gamer, we always liked map games but games like Hoi4 are way to complicated so we look around and found this gem of a game. Its have tons of countrys and time periods and maker mode to make your own map and a sequel on its way.
It is amazing but here are some Scenario suggestions -867 -1066 -1337 -1515 -1618 -1683 -1700 -1810 -1914 -1919 -1950 -1962 -1991 And The Soviet Polish War.
We love the game as its rare to find games like this on phone, but we would like to see more customization like change of leaders, tech tree possibly, etc.
Its a very fun game once you get the hang of it, however the game doesnt get updates due to being abandoned.

This games is amazing and fun but it crashes to much and makes our speakers so crackly and our phone is good iPhone 15 it has issues but fun.
Make some more scenarios, like ww1, Russian communist rebellion, and Roman Empire, maybe make a feature where you can add a image, and it will remake borders or just continents, the provinces will be the same (if earth map) and randomized if its a fictional map, if your not gonna do that, make it where, wherever you click, you can make any country/empire appear (only in scenario making), like it will automatically fill in the country because its hard for us to make the borders, but you can still edit borders so you can make a new empire.
This is a great game and it is almost flawless. Our one problem is that when you zoom way out and look at the whole world map, it gets a little slow. Other than that, great game.
Overall the game is very fun and a great time killer. But cant the game save automatically? Or fix the bug where you instantly glitch out sometimes. Its random so you dont even know when to save the game! Yes, anyone reading this, the game is abandoned by the owner for 3 years. We dont know why but if you are writing a review about the game mechanics, it wont change at all. Hope this gets your concern.

Its a great game, with so many scenarios, a lot of features, and tons of countries! Way better than the LITE version and overall a great game! We totally recommend.
The game needs a little bit more time periods and we wish it would tell u how to stop inflation. The game needs to add where u can put countries in different time periods.
This game is so awesome it is so fun to play and we can just think about and think about it and think about it. The fan base has grown so much and its for mobile users. We love the editor you can just make all different scenarios. The only thing we would say is it every now and then itll crash which it isnt that big of a deal because it doesnt happen that often but please fix that and please update more. We know youre working on age of history, but please.
For a mobile game this is probably the best and most enjoyable we have ever had. Its so much fun and we play our save every day for usually a few minutes when we are bored and we love it. We cant wait for third game. No pay to play, no hidden gems or paywall. You buy it and its all yours. Sadly no multiplayer but thats fine. Also a quick tip; play as more then 1 nation and make sure they are on opposite sides of the planet. You can play as many as you want during 1 game but do at least 2 nations. The game has turns you click through and we have found if you dont play as at least 2 nations your game can sometimes crash but dont let that dissuade you. Its a amazing game. It loads fast, it saves fast, it starts up fast. You will not regret it. Do what we said and you wont have a single issue.
Hi, Ive been playing this game for about a year or two now, and its really cool. We just wanted to leave the review because we heard about the 3rd edition of this game coming out soon and was pretty excited. We do have a few requests for it, if you can listen: first, we wish the game didnt crash & not save. Occasionally it crashes and we lose all our stuff that wasnt saved. Next, we wish there was some type of naval and air combat, rather than the navel just being more numbers-based. Also, we wish that the terrain had more effects on battles; ex. When you invade a mountainous terrain province, there should be a high/decently high attack penalty and the defenders should get a defensive bonus. Also, on land, we think there should be some more versitile troops, such as tanks, mountaineer divisions, or marines, and each would have a small added bonus in their terrain. Also, some troops should be able to move 2x in one turn, like if you moving tanks across field provinces. Also, we wish there were generals that could give their troops small bonuses too. Last thing, we wish there were a few more historical senarios, like WWI, or and maybe a few other significant historical instances/times.
