So, how does it work?
If you are a beginner, let yourself be guided by the introductory lessons included. The lessons are SHORT and EASY. Right from the start, you begin playing by moving pieces, and you learn the rules of the game while having fun.

Over the last 12 months, we have released 10 updates, including the following improvements:
- New «Learn» section, with 145 introductory chess lessons.
- It is now possible to upgrade from the LITE version to the PRO version.
- New «Frosted glass» button style.
- New promotion menu.
- A new option lets you disable the “Suggestions” button. If you find you're asking the app for help too often, this option is for you!
- Most sounds can now be disabled individually.

Ive recently been playing a lot of chess and on websites like chess.com you CANT get feedback on your moves or play against an ai for free, unlike chess lite. You can also access key moves which allows you to review which moves in a game you did right or wrong, FOR FREE.
We would love to get better in chest Raft Ganbit.
We wish there was a program that could walk us through using verbal instructions various different moves and what theyre called, so we can apply them, and in the process become a better player. Because right now Im stock at level 850, and we cant seem to advance out of it. Very frustrating. And we find ourselves very angry with ourselves or at ourselves.
We use this app regularly, and it works well. However, Im a novice player, and have very little actual experience playing chess. Thats why we got this app, but it doesnt do a great job explaining how a move is good or bad. We enjoy trying to figure things out on our own, but we have limited knowledge of the kings game, and we desperately need more coaching than this app offers. So, good for skilled chess players who want an opponent when they cant find a living one, bad for beginners trying to learn is our verdict.
We think that you have a pretty good game, but we didn't give you five stars because you also have some problems with your game. For instance, 1. When playing against computer you should be able to choose what level you want the computer to play at. 2. Also, the computer game is easy to switch to the opposite side, by pressing backspace an odd number. 3. When you want the volume all the way down, you can still hear it when you promote a pawn to a more powerful position.
This is a must have chess app! It will immediately improve your chess game! The options and selections are robust enough to suit any player and any playing style! Learning is greatly improved by a fantastic post-game analyzer! It could not be any easier to use! Compared to other beginning chess apps, this one is King in our opinion! Our next chess app purchase will be Chess Tiger Pro! Thanks Chess Tiger Team.

We wish it would tell us why some moves are bad, as we may not yet be good enough to understand them. Otherwise love the ability to improve our game.
Chess ratings for this paid version only go to class D novice the free version has a higher rated engine this paid program makes no sense..especially when it says it responds with grandmaster moves which ist novice or grand master.

This app is a great trainer because of the features. You can see how to move your pieces (what they can attack) before you move and we often think of what we want to move then turn on the suggestions to check ourselves. Sometimes, we make a move that wasn't suggested just to learn what would go wrong. It's great.

The app teaches you chess by just playing the game. You are supposed to learn strategy from trial and error. It will not work for everyone. If you want more instruction the developer has another app that coaches you during the game.

We love chess, and was debating on this for a while…we're not really a straight up beginner but we have a lot to learn, and this is a very helpful app. It also looks very sleek too, which is a nice bonus to it.
We're using this to learn how to play Chess and we love it! The only thing we wish it had is a realistic/3D wood theme board and wood theme piece set. Please add them.

Poorly described "lite" version. Buyer beware. Nowhere in the description does it say that the difficulty of opponent only goes up to beginners. Our second grader quickly outgrew it. When we asked for exchange and credit to be applied to PRO, they denied that request. Don't waste your money on this version. Decent program but poorly described lite version and customer service. App is more than just the program.
