What Makes Dexter Stardust Stand Out
Space! Dexter Stardust barely escaped when the Vreesians, inhabitants of the menacing Planet X, sent a fleet of robots to destroy all life on Earth. Now, twenty years later, a mechanical man from the 10th planet seeks to communicate with Dexter a very important message – he is the key to saving both humans and Vreesians! Play the taco-loving Dexter Stardust as he, and his good friend Aurora, go on the greatest adventure of their lives and discover the mystery of the Robot from the Planet X!
Dexter Stardust was illustrated, animated, written, scored, SFX'd, and programmed by one person, Jeremy Fryc. Even so, the characters are voiced by his friends, Munk Alejandro, Lola Mendez, and Alec Corday – who helped create the characters way back in 2012 on a warm afternoon in the Dominican Republic. 10 years later, we finally have… Dexter Stardust: Adventures in Outer Space!

Community Insight:
This was such a blast and the nods to former genre classics was an excellent touch! Were really looking forward to the 2nd half! Any plans in the works for a future release date.
Were eagerly awaiting the next installment, this game is truly something special. Its a rare gem that appeals across generations: our 17-year-old, our 10-year-old, and we all had an absolute blast playing it. Its not often you find a game that strikes the perfect balance for such a wide age range. The story is engaging, the humor hits just right, and the mix of challenging and more relaxed puzzles keeps everyone entertained. The visuals are sharp, and the cutscenes, voice acting, and music are all top notch. Best of all, it runs flawlessly, there are no glitches, just pure fun from start to finish. This is gaming done right.
Im so ready to finish this story! We love the game but wheres part 2? Its not replayable If there doesnt have an ending any word on when the next one comes out? Awesome game! We're sad it's a TBC because we have to wait for an ending & Im waiting on about 5 other games to have an ending but they never did .. BESIDES THST this game is long and well put together, funny, great graphics & story, well worth the money and we really hope the developers come out with a great ending, we'll be looking for it, great job developers, any idea when it is? Thank you! Happy to hear that.
This beautifully animated adventure game is a joy to play! The production values are first rate. Pacing is good. Story is engaging. Voice acting is very good. The puzzles are mostly of an appropriate difficulty. The only criticism we have is that a very small subset of the puzzles are overly non-intuitive, but we guess thats the point of walk-throughs. One other thought: an actual hint system would decrease the occasional frustration.
Such a fun game. We cant wait for the next part.
We'd like to get some tacos with Lola but if not, we'll take Crazy Carl. Make more games.
Jeremy, this is One of our favorite games Ive ever had the pleasure of playing. We wont pretend to know the first thing about game development or any of the nuances that must go into creating such an all around amazing game like this one. We are just a fan who is really looking forward to playing the finished game or sequel and figured reaching out wont hurt. We read one of the reviews you responded to a year ago saying the sequel will be released in 2024 but its just about 2025 so Im getting a lil nervous lol. So, if you see this and have the time to respond, we (and reading the reviews many other fans as well) would love an update on when we can expect our new game! We replay this game every few months but we fear we have played it to its full extent now. We really mean this, if there is anything we can do to get the second game, we know we are willing to help in any way possible. Thanks for all your amazing work Jeremy! -A forever fan.
We were really into this game but when we try to leave where the guitar cords are Im trying to go the entrance it keeps crashing. We cant even finish the game bc it crashes everytime.
This game is awesome!!! Probably the best game we can get on our phone. From beginning to the end it kept us interested and excited to see what was next. We will definitely be watching the App Store for the next part.
The story was awesome, and the gameplay was fun! Perfect combo! We only needed a walkthrough a few times, and every time it was because we had forgotten something we learned or saw from earlier in the game and it made us go Doh! Oh yeah!. Everything makes sense, theres no wandering around aimlessly only to figure out that the solution youre looking for is some random item or interaction that nobody would have ever thought of. If you have a good memory, you probably wont need a walkthrough at all. But that doesnt mean its easy! Its a perfect amount of difficulty without being completely frustrating. We just want to know WHEN the sequel will be here! Im dying to get back into the story!! Great job, developers. You nailed it.
This game it a fun game that plays perfectly on our iPhone 12. Great puzzles. We love the music and Latino flair. Great storyboards and room design. A lot of different locations. A true to form adventure game with fun and interesting characters. Cant wait for the next chapter.
We found this game to be very enjoyable! The way the story was written was flawless. Jeremy your imagination with the story, the characters, the voice actors, the sound/music and the graphics were very well done! (we dont think we left anything out?) we WISH we had your imaginationIf anyone out there is looking for a fun and well done point and click adventure game, then folks you will not be disappointed with this one. Who am we to judge? We played Pong when it first came out AND we have played almost every point and click for the past 50 plus years. Jeremy we look forward to playing your other games that will be coming out in the near future. And thank you So much for spending a little time to help us out with our gaming questions that we wrote you through email. Best of the Best to you! Mark K.
We love this type of funny point and click adventure game! Had a few days worth of gameplay. Looking forward to the sequel. Perfect level of difficulty: we only needed to refer to a walkthrough once or twice. Our only complaint was that there were a ton of typos/misspellings in the dialogue, and some of the voice acting was not good, although the voices of Dexter and Uncle Jedo were great.
We often get frustrated with point and click puzzle games. We have a tendency to skip past small details in a scene and never come back to pick up the key item that gets us past a certain puzzle. However, with Dexter Stardust, this wasnt a big issue. Episodes 1-3 and 5 were a breeze. Episode 4 was tough. One tip we have for new players is to turn on the directors commentary if you are struggling. Not only is it great to hear the director himself explain the design choices behind scenes, but often hes there to give just the right clue at the right time. The whole game took us 5 hours to complete, and we didnt need to search up a walkthrough. One piece of feedback we have is adding a feature in which the player is notified if there is a key item they havent picked up in the room. We often miss a tiny piece of paper or small detail and it gives us 30 minutes of grief.
Thisjust.wow! Such an amazing adventure, not just a game. So engaging and immersive. Never played something as amazing as this before. Cant wait for more seasons. PLEASE JUST TAKE MY MONEY!! Exclamation points!! PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY! TACOS!! We know youre working hard on the sequel.just know Im having withdrawals.
Great game….good story line, fun puzzles, and great graphics. This game rose far above the cookie-cutter games that clutter the recent offerings. Good job, and thank you.
Obviously a lot of love and hard work went into making this. Really really enjoyed it.
Update: we did a second walk through of the game and loved it even more. Really hoping for another edition to come out soon! Nostalgia! Takes us back to the 90s during the days of Monkey Island, Full Throttle and Dig! You have created a well done adventure point and click! Our 8 year old and we loved playing this together, some of the puzzles even had us stumped! Loved the 8-bit clip! Wish there could be an 8-bit version, there is magic in those old classic looks.
Whats not to like? Fun and involved gameplay, wonderful illustration, funny dialog, elaborate storyline, great voice acting, fleshed-out locations- the only bad thing about it is that it came to an end! This is obviously a labor of love by very talented people. We also loved being able to see photos of the two main actors pre-illustration. When can we play more.
Charming, funny, stylish . . . As an old-school adventure gamer, it captured our heart right away. We love the voices, especially Jedo and Aurora (Im developing a crush on voice performer Lola Mendez ). Mucho respect to creator Jeremy Fryc for the story, art, music, and humor. Gracias, amigo! These guys have earned your five bucks. Do yourself a favor and buy it.
Omg this is the best game Ive played in so long time. Please we want more episodes.
Perfect story and graphics. Sense of humor which is mandatory in point and click games is great. One comment: it is clear you are proud of the Spanish language and it is definitely admirable. However, the app is also marketed to English speakers. We know basic Spanish so we understood most of the Spanish included in the dialogues. However, it would have been nice to have a feature for English speakers with no knowledge of the Spanish language to have English subtitle for the Spanish portion. The subtitles are in English but the Spanish parts are not translated and just appear as they are being said in Spanish.
Without a doubt one of the best point and click games on iOS if not on any platform. Excellent animation, characters and vibe. Puzzles are mostly straightforward got kinda stuck in one part but made sense. Super value getting 5 chapters at this price. Very memorable story and game thats rare for an iOS title.
We had so much fun with this one. The first few episodes are a setup for the adventure puzzling in ch 3. Great ending with a cliffhanger that will keep us on the lookout for updates or a new release.
We are thrilled to see point-and-click adventure games make a come back. This game was super fun (and silly) and we look forward to future episodes. Our favorite episode was #3: Escape from Mars because of its length and more complex puzzles. The other episodes were a bit too easy (for an adult) and too short. Not sure what the target audience is, but we assume teenagers. The final episode had some weird glitches where characters would randomly glitch/shutter or disappear for a few seconds. Overall, great game and interesting plot.
This was an easy buy, love full length adventure games without in app purchases. We just hope developers continue to support it.
This definitely brings a feeling of nostalgia without trying to copycat what others have done. Everything feels original and very authentic to the gameplay. Characters are really well drawn out and we love comedic interactions for the storyline very well loved. Dexters character is definetely our favorite including when the voice actor makes an appearance in the game as well.
Love this game! Looking forward to the next chapter.

We loved this game. It was wonderfully animated and the characters are lovable. It was funny and also had a lot of heart. There was a good bit of challenge, but still able to be completed. The storyline is fun and interesting. We are anxiously awaiting the sequel.
We loved playing this game. So well thought out and beautiful to look at as well! Cant wait for the next one.
This game was such a delight! When we saw there was an update we were really hoping it was for the next episode lol. Looking forward to the sequel. Great work.

Im liking this game very much! We hope there will be another one like this from the developer.
Auroras voice actress sounds quite inexperienced compared to the rest of the cast. If Spanish actresses were in limited supply, maybe dont be so set on Aurora having an accent? Besides that, the voice acting is pretty great. Also, its hard to deny that the game is a bit cheesy. Almost like a sitcom at times. (Not sure if its in a self aware way or not) And lastly, some of Dexters animations are a bit wonky. Like – no matter what action you do with an object, Dexter always does the exact same hand gesture of him reaching out and grabbing. It just looks a bit silly a lot of the time. Whereas him not preforming an animation wouldve been fine. Besides those nitpicks, the puzzles, character design, backgrounds, music and core gameplay are all pretty good so far. We still need to finish the game and Im looking forward to it.
We played the first couple of episodes so maybe it gets better but we're not wowed by the game. We had our eye on this game for a while because the reviews are so unanimously positive- but so far it's just meh. Maybe our bar is a little high right now because we just finished Slim Threads (amazing!) and Chants of Sennar (so unique) so this game just seems like it's trying but not quite hitting the mark. Voice acting is generally good except for the actress who does Aurora. She sounds flat and emotionless; and not in an intentional Aubrey Plaza way. We really want to like this game so we're going to finish it regardless, and hopefully the rest of the episodes will make us change our review. Will update if that's the case.
Only on episode 1 so far and the game itself is really good. We love the humor and art style. But no timestamp on the save slots is extremely annoying, we always hate that and don't understand why devs don't include that. So basically the only way to remember which slot is most current is to physically write it down. Taking 2 stars off for that might be a bit harsh but it's one of our big pet peeves of adventure games, most games it's not an issue though and already have that feature.
The style is pleasant, looks like Futurama, and there is a lot of promise. The puzzles, however, are fairly simple. The worst part is the voice acting. Simply awful. Fortunately, you can mute the dialogue and resort to subtitles.
For the price, we expected a very good quality game on our iPad Pro. It doesnt work with Apple Pencil and thats a deal breaker for us. Fix that and Ill buy it again.
We are in episode two and entered the decoded soda fridge code (confirmed from YouTube videos) but it just gives us an error when we try no matter how many times we do it.
If you like watching cut scenes, slow moving dialog, and zero challenges, this might work for you.
Awesome game! We're sad it's a TBC because we have to wait for a sequel & we waited on about 5 other games to have an ending but they never did .. But all we can say is this game is long and well put together funny great graphics well worth the money and we really hope the developers come out with a great ending, we'll be looking for it, great job developers.
Here is an adventure through space that reminds us of the old space & king quest or monkey island games with a nice little in-game reference to those pixel art games that made our youth so much more enjoyable. A small bug happened to us in Episode 3 but relentless focus from Jeremy and his team meant it got resolved for us in no time at all! The support here is really something special. Get into Dexters adventures, you wont regret it! Dont just take our word for it, both our 10 and 15 yr old boys say the same! Pure mobile bliss.
This game was a delight to play, the art style and soundtrack were very well done. The puzzles and story line were engaging and a fun way to unwind at the end of the day. Can't wait to find out what happens next.
We are unable to summon the Bog Monster. The game exits whenever we try to use the picnic bench to eat the tacos. We even deleted the game and had to start over but it still glitches in the same spot. We are really enjoying the game and would like to finish it. Please fix.
The game is really nice and cute! But in episode 3, when we go into the four way fork, we keep walking and we cant do anything!! Please fix it! Thank you.
Impressive graphics. Reminiscent of 80s cartoons. Obvious undertones of social displacement and disparity but not so heavy-handed as to be annoying. Appears to be more suited to a tween player as far as the challenge level. Would have liked to see the option to screen hold to show hot-spots to investigate during scenes. Overall a decent gaming experience.
