Based on real stories from Iran between 1978-1981. In this cinematic adventure game you navigate this momentous revolution with only two weapons: your camera and your morality. You play as Reza, a photojournalist, where you get caught up by two opposing sides of the revolution. The fates of those around you hinge on the consequences of your choices.

We played this game and we really liked what was going on but we wish there was more to the story! We felt like some of our choices really did not have any consequences to the change of the story and it left us on a cliffhanger making us want more! This is less of a game and more of a slightly interactive story. But what a story! If you've played Telltale games, this is no different. It drops you into another place and time in history. The acting, plotting, emotion, and authenticity were stellar. We learned a lot and feel like a more informed person after playing this. Definitely recommended.

Our only problem is the swiping which doesn't work until multiple tries.
For us that we were'nt Even born on those days and just heard stories from our Parents these game with its documents and Real Photos and True Storyline makes us feel we were already there like we were part of the people who suffered from the Regime change and stuff… We Suggest Everyone to Play this game even if you're not Iranian.
We've had this game sitting on our phone for months now because we wanted to dedicate our full attention to it. We're glad we waited. Not only is the game look and feel good, the plot line based on real events is rock solid. We were on the edge of our seat the whole time even though we were controlling the protagonist. We smiled at memories and cried at tough decisions we had made. It's so thorough, we're extremely excited to see what will happen in playthroughs with different choices. Hands down, the best game we have played on this platform.
And accomplishment in itself of history teaching an important narrative on moralism patriotism and humanity.
The story is so entertaining, beyond our expectations. We got so into the game, we finished it so quickly. We'd do anything for more games like this.

We're a history buff and a hardcore gamer. From the opening moments of the first chapter, 1979 Revolution is one of the best, most immersive historical narratives we've ever enjoyed. We put it in the same category as VALIANT HEARTS; these games excel as games AND history AND cultural commentary. Player choices lead to surprising outcomes that challenge our moral assumptions and demand a second play through. In short, 1979 Revolution is a work of art, and in our humble opinion, a masterpiece at that. The games industry needs more globally relevant work like this. Cheers to the creators at iNK Stories for bringing this morally challenging, emotionally charged vision of the recent past to life.
Well crafted and an introduction to an Iranian perspective. Now more than ever this is great to experience.
This game is an absolute gem. It's more of an immersive story than a game. Ideally an app of this quality will be featured as editor's choice. For some reason this was not featured. Quality wise, this goes head on with telltale games. May be even better. The music and all is definitely done very well. Almost movie quality. We really hope this app is more successful and popular.

We came into this game close minded expecting a walking dead like game . But once inside the story we're amazed we have yet to finish and we can't stop playing a must play definitely.

Been waiting for this to release on iOS for a while now, and wasn't disappointed. The voice acting and characters are really incredible, especially for an indie game – and the story is one that deserves to be told and experienced by fans of gaming and history alike.
Its historically accurate, choices matter, you are pressured to make those choices quickly, just like this kind of revolutionary prisoner would have to. Its definitely a must play if you are into the genra tell tale has pioneered.
Honestly for ios game this is a 5/5 we just wish it was longer cuz we loved this we definitely recommend this.
At first, we didn't really get into the app but the farther we got in it the more interesting it got. Pros: -great graphics -good story/characters -historic -different than most games -interactive Cons: -short chapters -choices go by very quickly -feels more like an interactive movie almost -short game length -choices you make don't appear to matter that much overall.
It is a wonderful game for an iranian developer in this era , that we have not market in game developering . We thank you and wish luck for your team and your future programs . But we suggest on working on translations and voice editting , it will be better if all of the conversations change farsi , and fix the subtitle bugs . The other things like graphic and motions are perfect for a first job . We proud , thank you.
