Blood Card – Strategy Game Review
![]()
Blood Card is a Strategy/Card game from Pixel Cattle Games, first launched in 26th September 2019.
It’s rated 9+ and currently has 21+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Blood Card Stand Out
Blood Card combines elements of roguelike and deckbuilding. During the game, you shall strive ahead, gathering cards to build a unique deck and use it to defeat the enemies getting in your way. You will have to choose between escaping or try to defeat Death, who is relentlessly pursuing you.
Game features:
● Unique playing rules
In this game, your life value is equal to the number of cards in your draw pile. When you get hurt for one damage, you have to discard one card. If you have no cards left, the game is over.
● Three distinct zones
The final boss keeps chasing after you, and you can try to beat it at any time you want. Maybe you can get help from your monstrous enemies.
● Flexible progression
The game sets up different encounters and events: monsters, Elites, stores, etc. You get to decide when you want to encounter them – if at all.
● Infinite possibilities
There is no class restricting which card is available and which is not. Once unlocked, a card can appear at any time. A variety of magic combos and unknown dark arts is waiting for you to be discovered and exploited!
● More than 230 cards are available, with over 40 events. 10 bosses and 60 different kind of monsters allows for more than one hundred random battles.
● A formidable and interesting monster challenge mode, custom mode and daily challenge mode.
● Randomly generated card rewards and monster encounters.
You may have seen the art assets used by Blood Card in other games, because we encountered difficulties in making Blood Card. We sold our background and monster art on Unity Asset Store, and purchased some card art and background music on Unity Asset Store.
This Strategy game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
Not just another StS clone. If you like Card Quest and others like it, this is another great addition to your card game collection. Our only issue is sometimes we hit the close app bar when trying to grab cards.
This game will not load on our iPhone 6, even though it says it is compatible. You should not be allowed to sell it to phones that it will not work on. Waste of $1.
Amazing concept, with very creative gameplay. One of our favorite games on mobile. Similar to Slay the Spire in concept, but the actual game strategy is very different. Feels to us like a combination of all the best parts of different card games. Well worth the money. We also really appreciate the developer having an upfront cost instead of ads, which we know can be a hard decision with the ad-infested modern age we live in. Props to the developer for this extremely creative game. Im surprised more people havent heard of this game. We would recommend updating the app icon image, or maybe some of the menu screens in the game? It just seems very much like an old flash game kind of vibe, which takes away from the wonderful pixel art in our opinion. We think more people would look into the game if it had a flashier app icon. Just some of our two cents on the matter.
Very fun and unique card roguelike.
Most titles just take the concept of the slay sppire and copy but this is different and we like u guys we should.hang out.
Graphics are great, cards are just like most other card battlers, which familiarity is good, some unique experiences in there. Taking the RNG out of the run by having the user select what to go to next takes a Lot of the fun out of it unfortunately, that should be a rare pick up item that lets you choose 1 or 2 moves. The real killer of fun to the game is the death mechanic, like why is that even a thing. Hey lets make a game that is a turn based card battler which people will love, but only let them have a few moves before we just eat away at their HP for no apparent reason other than we made a cool death animation. This game could be great if it wasnt for those few mechanics.
Where is our health bar/amount indicated.
