We learned Shogi yesterday and the level 1 out of 300 levels is absolutely brutal. We've yet to win! Besides the challenge of this game's A.we, you can replay and email the full text record of all of the moves that were made in chess-like notation to yourself for future analysis. The app also has no annoying music and includes an optional professional Japanese voiceover where each move and type is read aloud. We like the concept of unlocking new Shogi sets as awards for winning medals against the computer, but as the kanji is more difficult for us to identify, we wish the 'animal' Shogi set in the advertised picture was available from the start.
