You will be able to import and export game records in sgf format from other apps. Also you can copy game record data to the clipboard. -

Its a free app with a paid version, we get that. Theyre gonna push ads that are annoying so you upgrade. But our god. The ads we see here are the worst of any app Ive ever used. We exclusively use this app on home WiFi with an ad blocker. Unusable as the free version. 3 unskippable 2 minute ads after very game. Clicking anywhere pauses it and opens the App Store. Half the time the ad doesnt even have an end. It will sit on repeat until you close the app and come back hours later. The go AI is pretty solid, but if we could find anything better we would never touch this app again. Do better.
We enjoy playing this game. It has helped us to stay focused as well as helping us to pass the time and to settle down in anxious waiting at the air port or a doctors office. We have been able to teach people the game of Go. Thank you for the time and practice to learn this game.
The game AI is good for beginners but there are too many unskippable ads and those ads are extremely long, like over a minute each and u have to go thru ads to do every simple thing, this is making the app almost unenjoyable.
First, we are sure that the AI here is unmatched but this app is also good for a beginner. Sure it doesnt seem to have puzzles to play but the killer feature here for beginners is the hint mode. Some apps seem to lack this basic feature and some apps that have it will limit you to a certain number of hints per game! Additionally, this app will let you see your potential territory in mid game and not force you to wait until the end of the game to see. Our only suggestion is let you see the territory mid-game without the need to press the territory button after every single time. Make it an option. Makes it easy for us as a complete newbie to see what territory we have conquered move by move.
Wish we could just buy instead of subscribe, but its the best app of the game Ive found.
Such as, allowing the user to replay a game and stop along the way to play a different line, or explore an alternative line.
The app allows our family to learn the basics of the game playing each other and playing (more like losing to) the AI. We often just set it to AI versus AI just to see a high level game and to try and understand the moves.
See headline. You pay good money for an app and they update it to shove ads in your face. Animated ads. While youre trying to concentrate on playing Go. Awful, slimeball move. Do not buy.
Enjoy this. Still learning features. Wish there werent an advert after every game. Maybe every other. And we wish there were a way to slow down the computer response. Makes us anxious and sets a weird pace. Should be more Contemplative. Overall good so far.
Have had the com set to the easiest setting and have lost every game by at least 100 points. Either Im retarded or this is not a game for earth based humans.

Multiple sized boards / options for free if you watch ads between games but thats fair.
Id gladly pay $5 to get rid of these adds. Super annoying and a waste of our time.
The ads are a bit, and by a bit we mean a lot; much.
We enjoy the app very much, however it has lately started playing ads in a way that is impossible to close (the close button is outside the border of our iPhone).
So you can play one game then a pop-up appears and you can't get rid of it? Even if we wanted to pay for premium at this point we couldn't. Terrible experience.
Please add landscape rotation, at least for iPad.
This is probably one of the best Go apps Ive found, but the ads RUIN it. After every game, an ad plays. 99% of the time, we cannot exit out of the game because the placement of the X is in the very corner of the screen where touch capabilities arent sensitive enough. Tried shutting the app completely, but it saves the game and so once again, to start a new game, you have to watch an ad and its usually the same one as above.
The game of Go itself is awesome ; a great balance of logic and creativity that is additive instead of subtractive (like chess and checkers). Very mentally stimulating and fun. This program is a great one for Go! The visuals and sounds are professional, the AI is good (with many levels of difficulty), and being able to make computer opponents play each other is great!! Very recommended.
We wish there is an analysis mode for premium member subscription.
We love it. But hopefully itll have more advanced levels soon.
We tried about ten apps and settled on two. We read the rules. Really got no idea about strategy so we just played tsumego pro go problems for a day until we knew what not to do and then we set this on the lowest setting and started playing it. Im catching on a little. Even won a few. One of the main things we like are that the adds only popup between games and arent those video ads ya have to watch til the end. The other thing we like is this is the strongest computer player if we ever catch on. Overall this is the best thing ive found to kill time while waiting for an hour to play clash of clans for five minutes and Confucius said go is a worthwhile pastime.
