The app is very helpful, but the big panel with the definition and other information is really obnoxious. It takes up half the screen with the word Welcome. There should be an option to make it go away.
We paid for the premium version. We are playing classic WWF. We had the letters: DUNKLAG. The results did not list KULAN as an option. This has happened many times. We will not be recommending this app unless the dictionary is updated.

The free version is very annoying (intentionally we are sure) by frequently putting an ad page up when you try to use it. In fact, at some times, it is impossible to use because you can't keep the ads away. The ad free version is great, however, if you don't mind laying out a few bucks for the purchase. The only problem we have with it is that IF it allows you to ask for words incorporating one or more letters at beginning or ending, it is not at all clear how to use that feature. The app seems to have been updated to match more of the accepted words than older versions too. Thanks for that. We had stopped using it for awhile cuz of that.

We've used this app for years. Just updated to the paid version and am so pleased. There are 10 boards you can utilize for the games you are playing. Just put in your letters and it gives you a variety of words to use. You can use the space bar to put in a blank tile. It gives you more options. Also you can add a letter from the board to see if you can place on that letter. Also the lookup page is a great tool. Here too use the space bar before or after your word and it will help you place letters to an existing word on the board. You can organize your words with 3 options: word, length, or score. So many options to help you play WWF well.
Great app for scrabble and WWF.
Easy to use; straight forward and simple. It has the ability to remember ten racks at once. It also allows the user to display ten letters which comes in handy for utilizing existing letters on the board. This app also includes a dictionary for those who doubt the authenticity of a word – very handy the few times we've needed it. We would like to see an option for using existing board letters in their placement order. That would deserve five stars.

We've used this for a while, it's really very useful, informative, simple. It would be helpful to have the 2 letter words appear when you put in the complete rack. We'd also like to switch up the background colors sometime, like switching colors with the different racks.
Love this app-so helpful! The only improvement would be 3 letter words.
Only use it when we get really stumped or am losing badly and need to get caught up, but it works perfectly and makes you learn by lookingup the definitions,metc.
We loved this app and it has given us an edge over our opponents in the game. Only thing we would add is maybe a quick tutorial on all the tips and tricks on how to use all the features this app. Is capable of.
We like it, but would like to add one more letter to the tile bar and would also like to see 2 letter words listed. Very important for those little words. Tx.

Ditto on the two letter words, it spells words that don't have a definition, but not two letter ones.
This simple, easy to use app does all one can ask for and more – a must have for all wordsmiths.

The nice part is the easy to enter tiles, searches and definitions. We would give it 5 stars if it had 2 letter words.

All of a sudden it closes every time we try to use it.
This app does what it says, but since it has not been updated in almost 2 years it doesn't work as well or as smoothly as it should or could. For starters, even though called WWF Lookup, it must use a different dictionary than WWF. For example, this app says "Iraq" is a viable word, but it won't play in WWF. The interface is generally a bit clunky. We also experience frequent crashes on ios 5 and above. The app needs to have some way to identify Racks 1-10 with a custom name. Sorting buttons near the top of the screen and forward/back buttons are too small and often result in tapping the wrong button and going somewhere you don't want to go. We have contacted the developer on this and have never heard a word. Very bad form for someone who is actively trying to sell more copies of this app.
This app is jus mediocre;( we're not happy that we paid for the full version.
It seems to be the case, more often than not, that problems users have with most software are not really problems at all. In this case, WWF Lookup does find words of any length, beginning and ending with any letters. Users just need to learn the app well enough to find what they want. AND WWF LOOKUP MAKES IT PRETTY EASY TO DO SO. The filter bar, which is disabled by default (turn it on in "config") allows you to find words matching any specification–and it's very easy to use, once you learn a couple of simple steps. We really like this App because it has everything, including a dictionary and thesaurus. We recommend that everybody (old and new users) READ THE VERY WELL WRITTEN HELP PAGE. You'll find that most of the "complaints" about this app are not accurate. This app does exactly what it is supposed to, and more. We highly recommend that you look up all the words you choose to use, in the dictionary function (all you have to do is just tap on the word, straight from the list) –great way to learn something new every day.
This is a great app for tired days, or even to just find out if your idea is really a word.

This app is great. It helps us remember what we already know.
Our favorite feature is the dictionary. Ironically, we find we're actually needing this ap less and less–because it's in essence teaching us new words.
We play words all the time and its bomb as heckles! We wear our teepee creepers to bed sometimes.

On the free version you can search within results, but at least this one does longer words. Not really worth paying for, though.

Use it to combat others who are obviously cheating. Scrabbled on the very first time we used it ("bloodied"). Amazing tool.

We especially like that it lists the points for each word. We also appreciate that you can look up definitions.
This app comes in handy for words with friends, but most of the time when we tap on the word to look it up, nothing happens. Also, frequently it suggests nonexistent words – a real time waster.
OK app!mostly a jump start n playing WWfriends. Like the point giving feature.how does it work with word warp,twist,jumbling these are quick timed games? In WWfriends game board has to be able to place words given, so not really used as a cheater but a guide while playing words w/friends. Good app.
Handy app if you are stuck. We can see ourselves using this on occassion. It does exactly what it says it does, finds anagrams for games such as words with friends. We do like being able to see the word definition. It helps to retain the word for the next time you want to use it.
You can use it to help on wordwarp! We cant 1st gen ipod :(.
