How to Play
At the start, all tiles are open. Roll two dice and cover the tile or combination of tiles that match your roll. If you can’t make a move, the game ends — your final score is the total of the uncovered tiles. The lowest score wins, and if you cover every tile, you’ve shut the box! Thai Style Variant: Always roll two dice, but cover only one tile that matches either die or their sum. For example, if you roll a 2 and a 3, you can cover 2, 3, or 5.

Edited review: Developer, you did not understand our review when you replied to it. We know they are all separate games. In the past we played them before and they all worked fine. They dont now. Only the regular game works. The rest dont. For example in the Thai game it no longer letting us pick the sum. So thats a bug. Not us. Its the game not working. Im no longer interested in this game and will not be replying further. Prior review: we recently re-downloaded this game on our newer phone because we used to have it and it worked perfectly. The Classic mode still works perfectly. However there are math bugs in other modes. For example, in the Thai mode, you are supposed to be able to pick just one of the dice, or their sum total. But it wont always let you pick the sum total. On our first roll, for example, we rolled double sixes. All boxes were still open, so we should have been able to choose 12. But when we tried to select two boxes adding up to twelve, it said try again. It did this with other valid rolls too. Same kind of thing happened in the Doubles mode too. It wouldnt let us pick a valid move when we tried to play this mode. It also had math errors in odd and even modes. Id click on valid moves and they wouldnt register. A couple times it even let us click non-valid moves. Also, for some reason, if we tilt our phone elements on the board tilt in a visually weird way. This never used to happen. Classic mode is fine, other than the tilting issue, but this game doesnt work like it used to. We were going to buy coins (optional) but now Im not. Unfortunately Im deleting the game. If it ever gets fixed we may try again. IPhone 12, iOS 16.3.
We really enjoy this game. Especially the dual American game. We reported a small bug and the developer got back to us right away and fixed it. NO ADS.
It took some experimentation for us to figure out how best to play (we had never heard of this game prior), but once we figured it out, we were hooked. We especially like the Thai version of the game. Very addictive. We appreciate that this is a premium game for a very fair price, with no ads, and only optional IAP. It also takes almost no phone storage, and uses almost no battery. This has quickly become our favorite go-to dice game. Thank you, developer, for a great game, and for monetizing it in a fair way, too. We need more developers like you out there.
Game has weak graphics. No option to play against computer. Help appears to be limited to Coin Calculations. If you want to play variations and know the rules associated with them youll have to do the research yourself. Developer is also very rude in responding to reviews that arent positive. Suggest looking elsewhere.
All shut the box world games for all, no ads! Plus everything just works. Great gameplay. Well worth the money.
Another reviewer already said this (we should have read the reviews first), but you need coins to play. When you run out of coins you are required to buy some. We have the physical version of this game and we love it. But we're not going to continue to pay for coins. UPDATE: Developer message said we could shut betting off so we could play the game. So we re-downloaded it and it works great.
We tried different games in the App store and this is the best by far! Plus all 5 games!! Fun game, cool graphics, love the shake, stats, scores. No bugs, no crashes! Lots of fun.
Played 10 times and now it wants money for coins. We want our money back. Got ripped off. DONT BUY THIS APP.

Is a good game. But wish we had looked it over before we bought it. We hate having to gamble before every turn.
Dice are hard to read until you realize which way is the "top" of the dice. This can be improved. Also: needs Thai rules, which we find a majority of people use.
The numbers should go up to twelve not stop at nine.
Graphics do not match screensot. Very choppy play don't waste your money. The dice don't even roll nor does the game save your score.
They make you pay for the app then you have to buy coins to play – should not be allowed.
This is pretty low-end on graphics and audio. Would be fine as a free app, but paying 99 cents every time you lose 500+ coins?… So not worth it.
Bought this game, played 5 rounds and ran out of coins. Can't play anymore unless we're willing to buy a chest of coins. We're not. No option to get coins daily. Deleting.
So, the game is well made and plays nicely. Problem is, it's bricked after you lose 500 coins which takes about 10 minutes. Wanna' play again, then pay for more coins. Had this been explained CLEARLY up front, we'd have never bought it in the first place. Was just looking for something to pass the time while traveling. We passed about ten minutes. That's it. We really feel scammed. Glad the lesson only cost us 99 cents.
This was a great app until they started charging $.99 for 500 coins.
What the hell is the point of winning coins if you can't spend them on anything.
The only app with all shut the box styles! Cool effects and addicting gameplay! Really nice game. We had it on iPhone 5 and it works great on both iPhone 5 and iPhone 6.
In classic rules, when you clear the tiles 7, 8 & 9, you may opt for 1 die. This increases your odds of winning and makes it possible to close a 1 if it happens to be the last tile.
Multi player does not work. Numbers are to small. Our shut the box classic board game at home goes to 12 this only goes to 9? Does not say if you can play some one on there phone.
Been playing this for years, in England, in the U.S, in the bathroom, on the grass, you name it! We have a couple of table versions of this and now this app. Fun game known to have been used for gambling purposes in certain circles. Fun for the whole family.
Our family loves to play this game and we love to say we can play anytime. The real thing is $20 so this is a great deal. There should be an option for double shutter though because that adds alot to the gameplay. Update maybe.
Great game. Looks deceptively easy but becomes very challenging and makes you think as you play. Kids can play and learn simple addition and subtraction while being entertained. Adults too can enjoy this, but be careful, it might become addicting. We found this a real bargin for a buck without the calories.
After you play it a few times it's just boring. It doesn't even keep a score for you.
It's not like the real shut the box it kinda is we guess it would be better if it was free.
Very low quality graphics for a paid app. Screenshot is not of the actual game. Don't waste your .99.
This is worse than the free version! Where's the stats? The ability to mute the stupid die rolling sound? The graphics are very low tech! We're very disappointed and want our $1 back.
Most roles have a 1 in it. If not, the first and second role equal the same number. And we've never seen so many snake eyes in our life. Not random at all, just annoying, and we love the real game.
The screen shots look pretty good but unfortunately, the game itself doesn't match the pictures. The boxes are basic white, not wood tone as the screenshots indicate and the nice red background doesn't exist either. We could deal with that, but the game play is boring too. Oh well…it was only .99 so we didn't lose much when we deleted it.
