Very relaxing to explore medieval world with soothing music, beautiful scenes, and many clues to find and puzzles to solve. We liked the first Blackthorn Castle as well.
We thought that the first Mystery of Blackthorn Castle part one was great. The puzzles were fantastic and making it easy to go from one place to another was awesome! But part two was, OMG fantastic! We so thoroughly enjoyed it. We love everything about it.
Puzzles can be hard and knowing how to use the items sometimes is difficult. Its a fun and relaxing game. Pick it up. Get stuck. Stop for a while then remember where you left off to find a new way to look at it. We enjoyed it.
Every time we come to our App Store we look for a new game from this company. When one comes out its a happy day indeed. As long as they keep making these, we will keep buying them.

Some puzzles make no sense and clues are $1.99! You tube walkthroughs $o. Other than that attempt at a rip off the games are fun.
Our son and we had fun with this game. Some puzzles were very hard but overall the gameplay was very good.
Great, but we find it too difficult at times. We feel it would help if they left more than one clue, for each puzzle. We once had a murder mystery game at our place. We left like two or three clues to move to the next puzzle. People loved it because if one puzzle was to hard, they still had a chance to find the answer by looking for another clue to solve the same problem. If you pay for the cheat videos, it just gives you the answer right away. We wish it would give more clues, and have a give up option, and then show the answer.
This was not as good as the first one. Some of the clues were complete nonsense and the only way to progress was to pay the $1 to get access to the video clues or search it online yourself. Im all for a good challenge but these were not well thought out and the story line was kind of boring. Its not a terrible way to pass the time but there are better puzzle games out there.
Ive never enjoyed a Syntaxity game less. The clues were counterintuitive and the paying for hints is trash. We tried playing the game twice. The first play through was so painful we got stuck and gave up. We decided to go back and try again and was completely shocked at how much we didnt like this game. We have played Rusty Lake, Glitch Games and The Room series more than once and on each occasion enjoyed every aspect of the game even on a second play through. This game was either a sad money grab or just plain lazy.
One of a very few developers that make such creative and well made point and click escape games. Every aspect of each game is thoroughly thought through. Mini games are fun and challenging. Wonderful fast travel option helps not to get lost in wondering around the locations while trying to find the clues or return to them, as well as does the snap shots option. Ive given the same 5 star review to every Syntaxity game we have played as they are all excellent.
Great game, smooth transitions between scenes. Some steps seem redundant but thats okay. All around fun. Im using games like this to work on our memory issues from Cancer treatments. Its great because it challenges you to think but it keeps us interested with the fun content.
Id be shocked if anyone could solve it without the hints, but its great nevertheless.

Hours of gameplay. The free hints provided in the game or just enough so you can find a location you might have forgotten about. Gameplay is awesome and the puzzles are not simplistic.
Im a retired person and needed a puzzle type game to pass time while visiting in a hospital. This game was relaxing, not unsolvable and the story not too dark.
Most everything relevant has already been noted by previous reviews, and evidently the annoyances have already been addressed or fixed accordingly. What we enjoy the most is the fact that nearly all the puzzles demand your attention and a pleasing amount of thought, without becoming overburdened or impossible to complete. We would note that one or two puzzles did seem to be absent any discernible logic (but it be fair, it might just be us), but all were eventually solvable. Thank you to all devs involved for crafting a series(?) of light games that are fun and ultimately enjoyable, absent any lasting frustrations. Theres always room to pick nits, but overall a fair investment for the enjoyment afforded.
While there aren't any real had scratchers in this little puzzle game, the puzzles are enough to feel like you did something. And even though there are a lot of rooms and bouncing around, the free hint system tells you where you can go next without solving anything for you so you don't have to keep feeling lost.
We thoroughly enjoyed the first installment of Blackthorn castle and this second one was no disappointment. Its great how they created a whole different game using the same scenes and the story keeps you clicking until the end. Definitely give this a try if you have time to burn.

We would have given it 5 stars but there were 3 puzzles which really didnt make any sense, even with the video clues.

Thiz game is a mix of Freudian pzychoanalyziz and coming of age ztory that ownz the LIB znowflakez with post-Marxian meta-narrativez. We beat thiz game with a combination of terrible eyezight and intellectual dumb blonde vibez. Thiz game was a real boogaloo of a time. Hazhtag, three zad virginz.

Theres something simple about this developers games that makes them a lot of fun. You never have to wonder if youre missing something, everything you need is pretty clear so its just a matter of discovering what to do with the items you find. Look forward to more games from this developer.

We loved getting immersed into the scenes, stretching our thinking, and the overall game play. We only found one puzzle that the logic still escapes us, but the rest just required sometimes thinking beyond the obvious. Although we didnt use any hints, we did think it was a little cheap to charge for them, especially when purchasing the game. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Well worth every penny, it provides hours and hours of game play time with the same stunning graphics those of us whove been playing them since pre-Syntaxity days. Enough mix of easy – challenging puzzles. If you havent tried any of their games but love this genre you are missing out. We just bought one from a very popular developer that cost the same amount and was finished in just over an hour. To the people at Syntaxity creating these – thank you for maintaining the level of excellence. We have bought & played many other games in this genre and none are even close to yours. Have been waiting for another new one. Which we will happily buy as soon as its ready. BTW, updating the 1st two old games with extended scenes/puzzles, etc. Without requiring more money was a really nice move, very classy.
We like most of the puzzles but some of the clues dont make sense and we do not like jumping all over from site to site.
Frustrated with page 95..the # symbol on wall doesnt work. Pushed right buttons but is frozen. This has happened many times. Please fix.

We always play any Syntaxity game that comes out because they are well designed with super graphics ! Not fake looking like many other games theirs is more HD quality. And the game itself is fun to play with just the right amount of difficulty. We just wish they would make games more often.
Excellent puzzle. Difficult in places – not always clear how to keep moving ahead – but resolves well and thoughtfully designed and executed throughout.
