Somewhere around level 850, the puzzles started repeating. Not much fun any more. We received a reply from the developers that they are aware of the problem. That gives them another star.
This could easily be our favorite game but between the low number of energy given at a time and the ad between every level it is almost unbearable to play.
We enjoy playing but the autoroute has decided to put an ad in after every single game . It gets annoying. Still, we do like the game. It would get 5 stare if not for the ad frequency.
Really like Cody Cross so figured we would give this a shot. Its fun, but very hard to be able to increase points. When it costs 600 – 700 points to increase a letter point you cant get very far. You only get 40 points per puzzle and you never get any helper aids. Will keep playing but maybe you could loosen up the points.
We are enjoying this word game related to CodyCross quite a bit. But we have one issue with the Mission page. It comes up inconsistently, only flashes briefly – too brief to read it all, and then disappears only when it decides to show up again. You need a button to access it and leave it up til we dismiss it. Thanks for listening.
Although a good App/Game, however it feels that CodyCross developers have gone greedy in the amount of Ads, even if you press home, and the prices of helpers. Too bad it would have been a great game. Price for removing Adds is $6.95 or something like that.
This is a fun game that keeps you sharp. Our only complaint is the number of ads. Every time you want to navigate to a new thing there is a ad. You complete a game and another add. It make this tedious. We get it that ads keep it free, but sometimes there is too much. Fix that and it would be a five star game.
Its exhausting watching all the ads for extra stars, extra points in addition to the ad to play each game. There are SO many rerun puzzles that Im going to delete this app and play something else.
Update 7/11/2023. There is no deception as far as the no-ads option is concerned. This was a misunderstanding on our part and we apologize to the developer for this. The game itself is great and a lot of fun to play and the no-ads option we paid for is working properly. Thanks to the developer for responding to our review. Very deceptive no-ads purchase policy. We paid $6.99 for no-ads and still get ads at end of game. Too late for us but want to warn other users to be careful. No-ads should mean no-ads. Period. Apple should remove them from store for deceptive sales practices.
CodyCross is our all time favorite game, play it every single day. This is a nice addition to our daily favorites. Keep up the great work Fanatee! For some reason LunaCross just destroys our battery though. Have to play it plugged in.
This game makes us think! It keeps us on our toes.
This would be a great game if they didnt have those ANNNOYING, ANNOYING REALLY ANNOYING ROYAL MATCH ADS, THESE ARE THE MOST ANNOYINGS ADS BY FAR AND THEY ADVERTISE ON ALL THE GAMES we PLAY, THEY ARE SO LONG . We DON.T MIND ADS ABSOLUTELY HATE THEIR, IF THEY WERE TO SHORTEN THE ADS THEY WOULD NOT BE SO BAD.
Over time, seemingly not dependent on the small number of puzzles played, but if played slowly while doing other stuff IRL, itll make the whole iPad unresponsive. You wont be able to move letter tiles at first, then wont even be able to use the app switcher to force close the game in under 2-3 minutes.
We look for games that will keep our mind alert since Im getting older. Even though we cheat sometimes with the ones we know we wont know. It makes our mind work.
Most the time ads wont play to get our coins or we lose a game.
In level 169, you give the hint Wounded ____, 1890 BATTLE in South Dakota, which might be true in most history textbooks, but it is actually more accurate and respectful to call it what it really was: a MASSACRE of indigenous people. Im really enjoying this game otherwise, and we recognize we might be called too sensitive for saying this, but we think it is extremely important to address history in a way that doesnt paint too rosy an image of what actually happened and faithfully acknowledges some of the horrors in our past so that we can grow and become better from it.
It's a fun game. However the purchase for no ads is expensive and deceptive. Instead of an add after every puzzle, you still get a "no energy left" message. You can only play more puzzles be waiting 5 – 15 minutes, using tokens or watching ads. Definitely not what we paid for.
On lunacross we got charged 4 times $4.99. All at one time for pass seminal. What is that ? We didnt even ask for it. If at all possible like a refund of $4.99 x 4 on our apple app. Thanks.
We just got to level 671 and no puzzle comes up. And it wont let us go back to the Home Screen. Love the game but we cant play anymore. :(.
We were loving the game but we got stuck on level 700. It just doesnt come up and we cant go back to the Home Screen.
Liked playing this game until we got to level 147. We go to play and the app freezes and we have to force close because it wont do anything. We messaged support but havent heard back and its been weeks. Going to just delete the game as all its doing right now is taking up space since we cant play.
We love this app! The only problem is that we finished all the puzzles and keep seeing new puzzles are coming soon and that was months ago. When do you think the update with new puzzles with be available? KB.
Tired of playing the same 10 puzzles over and over again. Im playing on hard level but they the same puzzles no matter what level we play on. We love this style of gameplay but Im getting really bored with it.
Keeps repeating puzzles Ive just done. From what Ive seen in other reviews this hasnt been fixed as of yet.

We paid to remove the ads in this game because it seemed so nice and well done. Come to find out the puzzle repeat we got wasnt a one-off. Its happened a LOT. Im not really interested in playing the same few puzzles over and over. We feel like Ive been ripped off.
We were really enjoying this game, have been playing Cody Cross for a long time, so thought this would be a nice twist. However, after playing a few games, all at once it starts to repeat the ones we already completed. And, it uses energy. So you only get to play for a limited time. If we get playing a game and enjoying it, we want to be able to stay at it. So for those reasons, ive deleted the app. Sorry.
After level 30 all the clues start to repeat.
Thoroughly enjoy it. Im on level 97. Our only complaint is every 4-5 levels we do we end up repeating 1-2. Sometimes 3 of the same crosswords. Could be part of it which is why Im staying with 5. The difficulty has progressed at a steady pace and we love the idea of leveling up letters.
We want to like this game. We think its a cool twist on the crossword style of games. However, there is a frequently recurring issue where we have to play previous puzzles that Ive already solved. They just randomly show up again, like 1-3 of them. We do not enjoy replaying levels. We were just dealing with it, but after beating level 60 level 61 is the exact same puzzle. Its a repeat. And these repeats still cost energy to play. We dont know if we want to keep playing until this mechanic is fixed. We hope its a bug and not intentional. That would be really scummy. Please fix this issue.
We like the game but often we finish a puzzle and select play new puzzle and the same one shows up or we get one we did 3 puzzles ago and have to work through them again. We dont see any other complaints like this so am we doing something wrong.
We wouldve given this game five stars but it seems theyve forgotten about their own game. We finished the 30 collections nearly four months ago, and since they havent added anything new. Come on now.
There are at least 3-4 ads between each game. That is way more then any other game we play. That being said we really like the game when we have the patience to go thru all the ads.
Why the heck do we run out of energy after playing maybe five or six levels?? Why does there seem to be no way to earn more energy as you play?? We could understand it if we were failing to complete levels, or if it was timed game. But it is extremely annoying to be playing along and suddenly get a box in the middle of the screen, telling us that we are out of energy. It really limits the amount of time we spend playing this game, because once we have to go away from it to allow the energy to refill, we tend not to go back to it. It is an enjoyable and challenging game. The clues cover many topics and many times, from current to decades ago. This makes it a challenge for all ages and all types of people. We like the game a lot, but running out of energy so quickly makes it very frustrating. We thought developers wanted people to play their game as much as possible, but apparently not. Update: we received a very nice response from the developer. They explained that the reason you run out of energy is in that they hope you will either watch ads to renew energy, or pay for the weekly or monthly passes which allow you to play without running out of energy. We still think energy runs out far too quickly, and it annoys us enough that we are unlikely to pay money to keep that from happening. But because we got such a clear, helpful response from the developer, we will at least look at the subscription amount. We are unlikely to pay weekly or monthly, as we dont play ANY game enough to warrant that. Id much rather just pay once for a game than have recurring payments, but we very much appreciate the developers response. Unlike many other developers responses, this one actually answered the questions/concerns we put forth in our review. Thank you for that.
We cant find a web page with answers for the Spanish version. Otherwise, we love this game.
The game itself is great, would give it 5 stars, but when there is an ad before every level, and then we have to watch a full length ad to keep playing, because we ran out of energy, its like youre telling us you dont want us to keep playing. With that many ads, one before each level, we would think that should be sufficient income. We dont mind the level ads, but when you say we cant play without watching another one, we say OK. We wont play then. Deleting the game until you remove the energy requirement.
With some of the larger puzzles some of the answer squares are under the settings icon and other icons. It would be good to see the entire puzzle.

We uninstalled your app because tutorials are not optional. We like your app because it looked really interesting but we feel that you all should leave it up to the playersif they may need help later on. We can not deal with all of those tutorials at the opening of the app.
If you love ads, this is the game for you. Before you start you see an ad. If you want a free booster, watch an ad. When you solve a sub level, watch an ad. When you want to boost a letter, watch an ad. We get the feeling sooner or later, if you need to watch an ad, you're going to need to watch an ad.
We really enjoy this game. The puzzles are very challenging starting with puzzle number 1. We highly recommend it for anyone who wants to improve their mental skills.
We started playing CodyCross a few years back but quit the game because it became boring. This version tailors to age and is much more challenging.
We really love this game. What we cant stand is the constant glitches and freezing up. We cant get through a single game without having to turn the app off to reset it. Its so annoying we cant enjoy the game. Im playing on a brand new iPad. Ive even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Very disappointing.
