Community Insight:

Great, a huge variety of fun and high-quality quizzes.

The game really helps us memorize things, like all the countries and their flags.

Great way to escape social media.

The best for us people who love quizzing and passing the time with great entertainment.

This app is so amazing for both learning and fun and is a great educational way to pass time.

Sporcle is our favorite app..we love trivia and this app covers every category imaginable and you can either play the subject or you can learn!! It really makes learning so much fun!! Theres also crosswords too which are also fun!!! This app is a must have..for ALL ages.

Sporcle is our favorite way to kill time, but the unstoppable pop ups can be a tad bit annoying.

The quizzes on Sporcle are amazing. We could easily dive in for hours of random quizzes one after the other. Our only complaint is that the ads often obscure the quiz and playing on a Chromebook is inconvenient because of the layout. Please keep making these great quizzes and giving us an excuse to avoid chores.

We were not able to sign up for this app and we have seen many creators playing fun games so we wanted to try, but we cant now:(.

Can do one quiz and the other quiz will lag. Wont be able to quit or click anything. If the time runs out, you still have to exit the game and close out the game to do anything else. Happens every time.

Terrible screen resolution on an iPad cant see some photos while playing quizzes.

Every night around the same time the app suddenly cant load anything. We assume some kind of server maintenance is happening. They should disclose this if its going to happen daily. When it happens, every other app on our phone works.

We really wanted to like this. And we were even willing to pay for it! Ive only just been on the learning areas. What we cant use, and is actually quite uselessto the point that it makes us crazy youd expect anyone to pay for it, are: 1. Maps in the geography section that cant be seen or zoomed in/out without any color differentiation beyond grey and black. 2. Layouts that are so poorly done that the text cuts off before theyre finished so that we cant even fully read the multiple choice answers. 3. Thumbnail pictures that cant be zoomed in to actually see the subject of a painting when trying to learn art and artists. Artwork names arent always shown with pictures. What era or school of art is never shown. We havent spent much time yet, but if we can make a few suggestions: 1. Zoom in/out capabilities for things w/ pictures are necessary to learn/understand. 2. Enhance with color distinction and names of other countries, major cities, geographical features, and bodies of water surrounding the focal point on maps. 3. Have a learn area that people can click on that is more of a study guide with all the information available in list, table, graphic form (whatever makes most sense for subject). For example, we should be able to see the entire periodic table somewhere in the learn area before we go into the quiz learn area of matching. How would anyone know what is a noble gas or where on the table it belongs to answer anything for the learn questions without that? 4. If we want more information on anything, there should be a way to click and hold to have a window that floats above to get a little more information without leaving the game. We have more but this is getting long. Just think about context overall.

The ads on this app need to chill out holyyyyy. We get it, have ads make your money but theres way too many.

Sporcle, you healed all things wrong with us. Sporcle, you have made us ascend to a cyber dimension of badges and challenges galore. Sporcle, we worship you, we pray to you. Sporcle, we love you.

We obsessed with this app. We love to do quizs and puzzles, and we love to just play some music and play Taylor swift, geography, and Harry Potter quizs.

Sporcle is a super awesome quiz site with a great community who are passionate about making new quality quizzes every day! And Kyrgyzstan!!! :D.

This is miles better than the original app. Great job.

The sporcle website is great and the app does a decent job of making it accessible on the phone. However not all quizzes work well on mobile. The main thing Ive noticed is that the interface for grid puzzles (e.g. Crossword puzzles) will cut off clues after a certain length and there doesnt seem to be a way to display the cutoff text.

Way too many rate our app prompts.

We are an almost daily sporcle user and have been for the better part of a decade. We only recently discovered the app and have found it to be enjoyable but at times buggy. We are fairly certain that this app could be optimized better and will be someday. Other than optimization issues its sporcle and thats good enough for us.

The mobile app serves its job as a mobile app well, (even if the iPadOS version feels like a stretched out iPhone port,) but in terms of features compared to the website, there's a few features that are absent from this app. For example, the app doesn't have the map layout editor, nor can you use the search filters without entering a search term, which you can achieve in the website by searching for nothing. There's also weird quirks here and there, such as the picture box quizzes starting out very zoomed in, and grid quizzes using an odd custom keyboard instead of the ios keyboard, (which means you can't swipe down to use special characters on ipad.) On top of that, you can't move items in the quiz editor by dragging items, you must enter the number you want the item to move to. It's a bit difficult for us to determine if we should recommend this app or not, as the website also has quirks when used on a mobile device. We suppose it depends on what quirks you're willing to deal with. As for us, we might end up using the website instead.

Quizzes that require pictures are hard to see on mobile since you cant scroll the picture to be up above the keyboard.

We liked it in general, but there were several quizzes that we couldnt do or finish because of the interface and the quiz not showing up right which was kind of annoying.

How am we supposed to get images from our photo gallery onto a quiz Im making.

Literally the best to pass time.

Its essentially an app wrapper for the website but it is an improvement over the old app. We get to set notifications and change our app icon which are both nice features – especially as a daily player.

Love the app! The ads are bearable but one piece of criticism we have is that when creating a quiz we have to watch an ad almost every time we test it. It should be ad free when testing your own quiz creations considering Im contributing trivia for your app.

Ive been a Sporcler for quite a while, but mostly playing through a browser because the app had limited functionality. The recent update to the app makes that unnecessary. Same great Sporcle much better experience.

We love it. Great variety and fun and unique formats. The only negative is the 10 second ads are a bit long.

Not a bad game. Good variety of challenges. However, games need to be better organized. Also, we hate how Im trying to complete games on a playlist and eventually the list Im working on and have not finished is gone and Im on a different list. Also, timing on some is not good especially when you have to type in a lot of words to give the answer.

Lots to like about the new format. 2 things on the negative side: we cant see how to easily tell which quizzes we have already played, and we dont like that when we finish a quiz Im not automatically taken back to where we selected the previous quiz but instead have to drill down through the same menu choices all over again.

If you like trivia games, it has potential. But the third quiz we took asked players to identify the 10 countries bordering France. Unlikely that anyone can score higher than 80% as there are only eight countries bordering France. We deletedwhat fun is a trivia game when you cant trust the app to be true and accurate.

Adding friends, looking at a history of the ones you played shouldn't be this complicated. Its like the creators never played the game themselves. So much potential though.

Some parts of the redesign are fine. Hate that we have to manually choose Recent Quizzes every time. Thats what we want; why dont you default to us stuff, rather than make us do that every time.

Let us start off by saying we came across Sporcles app years ago and absolutely loved it. But after recently being pushed over to the newly revised app, the user experience has gone downhill. The quizzes themselves are still fantastic. But the little things like being able to download quizzes so you can access when theres no internet or being able to see answers you missed before an ad pops up, are now non-existent. Sporcles beauty was in its simplicity. We used to do a few quizzes almost daily, now we rarely open the app and am almost ready to delete it. A $6/month subscription is too high especially when you couldnt access quizzes when youre going through a tunnel or on a train underground (prime quizzing time!!).

We really like taking Sporcle quizzes but the way its ported over to mobile is garbage. You can barely scroll and half of the time the keyboard is covering most of the content. Make it better and Id give it 4 stars.

This is clearly just another game company going for microtransactions in order to make more money, the new Sporcle is nowhere near as enjoyable as the old Sporcle, and personally Id much rather pay for the game like we did years ago, than have to watch a stupid ad every 2 games.

This new version is sooooo cluttered; we havent found a way to bookmark our quizzes; we cant see what our score was on quizzes Ive previously taken; we choose the Recent Quizzes tab and then when Im done, Im bounced back to Intro Quizzes as if we didnt just choose Recent Quizzes; we dont mind ads, but dont put them between the end of the game and the answers; and some of our favorite quizzes from the old version never made it to the new version. Not happy.

We loved the older version. This new version is a specter of the original. We feel like this new one dumbs everything down. Why cant you keep the older one going too? We would actually subscribe to it.

Ruined a good game with new style. How many Taylor swift quizzes do we need and we paid for no ads before now we get ads. Half the quizzes are useless.

We miss the old app desperately.

Sporcle is full of fun and stimulating quizzes that anyone can enjoy.

If you like trivia you need to be using Sporcle! So many fun quizzes and badges to receive.

This is a rlly fun game it has a bunch of quizzes that u can challenge urself and others with.

What a wonderful app everyone to download it.

Sporcle is fun because there is a bunch different types of quizzes.

We love Sporcle! Its a great way to pass the time and it doesnt beg you to pay crazy amounts of money. We love that people can submit games and edit them with feedback. The only downside we can think of is that you cant share games from the app directly. Only with friends in app. (And it is possible we just havent found the option).

Our daughter downloaded this game for us because we have been having trouble remembering some stuff and she thought it would be good for us to be able to do different games in order to be able to recognize things better. We have played several games some of them 100% others 25% if Im lucky, but we really enjoy the game a lot and we do recommend it for if you are having memory problems and having trouble recognizing things.
