Community Insight:
Still our favorite after 15 years.
Ive been playing Trism since it was released. It is STILL our go to game when we want a challenge or just to relax a bit. Of all the games over the years, regardless of type or genre – this is the one we play the most.
This is a perfect, timeless game, the original version still holds up today. Thats great design.
We think ive been playing this for 16 years. We love it.
Ive had this game on one phone or other since it came out, and its still a banger. Easy to pick up, but hard to put down.
Still one of our favorite games.
This is the best game ever. We play it every day. Ad free, Fun and easy. We love it so much. Three cheers for Trism not sure if we spelled that right but oh well.
Great game. It was created before apps even existed and deserves a lot more respect. Really wish the devs would keep working on it.
This is the first game that we got when we got our first iPhone in 2007. We have played it continuously since, and it continues to be our very favorite game.
Its followed us thru many iPods and iPhones and, idk, Im still surprised it plays just as well as it ever did. Ive never tried Trism II and probably never will but this one is just a classic to us. Im not much for games on our iPhone, its really just this one. We like how it doesnt time you unless you want that, and that it can go on forever and forced you to really analyze the board before making a move when youre into infinity level so your game can continue.
This was the very first game we downloaded years ago when it came out. We hope it will always be there because it takes skill to keep the points going.
We love this game. No ads, no currency, just the game. We play almost everyday without having to turn off our wifi. There are a few minor problems that can all be spotted by playing the game for 10 minutes (only like 3 problems) and those problems are easy fixes. Sometimes the triangles animations are moved out of place while moving rows. The numbers on bomb triangles will move way off. We forget the other thing, but now we have a suggestion to improve the game. The tilting feature is nice, but we think it should be automatic, but not make 3 or more triangles touch each other which would detonate a bomb if there is a bomb in play. If this is not something that will be done, we suggest that you instead give players an option to swipe the tilt icon to the direction that you would like the triangles to fall, not just keep track of the devices tilting. We want to be able to play this game without actually moving, like when playing in bed or while watching tv. We shouldn't have to constantly flip our device around just to keep bombs from detonating. Also, having the blinking colors that show the color of a triangles that you can't see is pointless and would be better if it simply stays that color. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the Trism update, you fixed it! Thanks again.
We have enjoyed it then forgotten about it then enjoyed it again! So easy to play and still so absorbing. Maybe integrate the players own music into the soundtrack.
Back in 2009 when Apple featured this game during the iOS 3.0 keynote, we immediately downloaded it and played it incessantly for the better part of that year. Well as the years went on, we found other games and played them, almost forgetting about this one. Well fast forward to 2022 and we randomly wondered if this game was still on the App Store and behold, it was. We downloaded it and rediscovered how much fun it is. It is definitely a throwback to the early days of iOS. The interface elements look more like iOS 1.0-6.x than what was started in 7.0. However, it is still good. If we had to make any complaints, it would be the game doesnt scale very well to the screens on newer iPhones. It was great on our iPhone 3G back in 2009 but on our iPhone 12 Pro in 2022, it is not exactly optimized. However, it is still playable and very fun.
We love this game and have for years. However, we use it to pass time on plane flights and am now stopping. The reason is that we want to listen to our music and not that supplied. There is no way we can find to turning off the supplied repeating canned music. If a path to solving that issue is created or made evident, we will change the review to 5 stars.
Fun gameplay, but WOW, is this game rigged! Its worth a shot, just know youll get frustrated as hell! This game has not aged well at all! Game itself is very… Meh. P. S. The sequel is much worse! Lots of bugs, incomplete, only one level to play, but its still $2.99! . These Trism games are cash grabs and Steve Demeter is a con man banker who made Trism 2 as a joke, a way to submit a demo as a game and collect the money! Stay away from these Trism games or youll end up angry, frustrated, and cheated! Steve Demeter should be reported! Update: Game is even more rigged now, and it freezes a LOT! This jerk developer hasnt updated this app in ages! We repeat – stay away from the Trism games, theyre horrible.
This game is awesome! Very well written code.
We dont know why this is so relaxing. It also reminds us a little of life. Sometimes you get screwed and feel stuck but persist and youll find a way out. Things change. You defuse bombs. We think it may need to update for the new iOS but even so, its our favorite game to play to unwind or after stressful situations.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the latest bug fixes, especially the one that prevented the Trism strips from being visible, which really affected play. We have been playing this game for years and was very sad when the game didnt play correctly. So now we are a happy camper and would recommend this game, especially to people who like to compete against themselves to obtain their highest score.
We recently re-downloaded this game 10 years after it was first released. Its still as awesome and addicting as ever. A classic and one of the best games ever developed for the iPhone.
We've had this game on our phone, consistently since it originally came out, eleven years ago. We always come back to it.
Broken app! Absolutely loved this app….. Until we downloaded iOS 10.13. Now the app is broken. By that we mean, when you move a triangle, instead of seeing it and the other pieces on its path move, you now see only the one piece being moved. Where are the other pieces should be along its path, there is instead a solid black. Programmers, please! Update the app or get in touch with Apple and find out what went wrong.
A great way to unwind at the end of the day.
Love this game & have played it since our first iPhone 3. But with the newest update 13.1.2 Trism no longer works! Help tech support.
When Im waiting in line or having to sit through commercials, this is the perfect game to play. Its engaging yet easy to stop and start while youre waiting.
Love this game!! Been playing this game for almost 10 years. Every so often have to delete and re download because app gets worn out.
We most certainly will keep this on our phone and play it until it no longer works on iOS. That indeed will be a sad day but it amazes us to see how we always come back to this game that never fails to be in our top favorites. If there is a way to keep this game going as a public service, WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING, we would certainly donate money to that effort.
Trism is such a classic. The rules are simple but the gameplay is complex. Thats what makes Trism so great. Its as simple and fun as bejeweled, but has depth that we havent seen in any other games like this. We first played Trism when it came out 10+ years ago and recently downloaded it again. What a treat it is to go back to a game with fun core gameplay, no ads, and no in game purchases/currency. Im pleased that the game still runs on our iPhone XS Max. However time has not treated this game well. It looks very aged. The game wont run in a resolution native to modern iPhones. The in game menus and alerts are from a different iOS era. Some controls dont work properly, like the level select scroll list component doesnt render the text for the selected level. But Im still giving this game 5 starts because that doesnt detract from the gameplay. We tried Trism 2, and its a great game in its own right. But it doesnt have us coming back to it again and again like the first Trism. What Id rather see is a quality of life update for this Trism instead of a new Trism. Overall its a great game. We recommended it for everybody.
We have been playing this game we think as long as it's been in existence. It is one of those games that you never want to get rid of because it has you coming and going, thinking and pondering all the time. Our kind of game.
Love this game. We like triangles quite a bit, but theres something that keeps our attention apparently because Ive been playing this game since 2009 or so, when we were in high school with one of our first iPhones. Such a gem.
To reach the state beyond all bliss and understanding, you must explore shifting your diagonals, the syncopated rhythms, where disappearances become additive. Starshine on, further up and further in.
We are not a gamer by any means But this is a game we have played for many years after we read an article about it in the business section of our local paper. And it's a great game for spatial skills and overall just a nice way to occupy your mind when you need a distraction.
Love this app!! Have had it since it first came out 2009! Even our kids love it.
Have played Trism for years. Other games come and go for us but Trism and Scrabble are our go-to's. Trism is always satisfying. :).
We've been playing this for years and it never grows old! Best game we've found. We've had people ask what it is we're playing after they've caught a glimpse of it in action.
So addictive! Can't wait for trism 2.
This was one of the very first games available for the first iPhone and it has withstood the test of time.
This is a fun little puzzle game. It's fun, and great to eat a bit of time when stuck waiting about. We have owned it for a while but not reviewed it till now. Well worth the time and money.
We too play it everyday. It is a classic. We have had the game ever since it came out. All this has been said in reviews before ours. It is a game worth having.
We've been playing Trism for years. Still love it.
Enjoy have fun a game you can do anytime or anywhere.
We have had this game since it came out, almost 8 yrs, and we still play it almost daily. It is our absolute favorite game in all the App Store.
Love this game. Can play for hours, rarely get a high score we've played so much our lowest is 10,000,000. Can be a great way to pass the time. Can't wait for Trisim 2.
Play almost daily and games lasting for ages. Wish we could find out more options for challenges. Tips and tricks would be great.
Our favorite IPhone game of all time. For would like to find playing tips and rules somewhere. We've tried. Very satisfying to beat our old scores which happens more rarely now. Would appreciate an update but it works on our IPhone 6.
This is a great game. Very addictive! Been playing for years.
Trism was the first game we downloaded back when the App store was very new. A few months ago we saw it was still available. Ive been playing it again and it worked fine for a while, but now theres a bug. When you press on a tile the whole row turns black. Developers, could you please fix this? Its a great game and Id love to get back to playing it.
We have been addicted to Trism for quite a while. But since the new iOS update it is not working well at all. We love Trism but please either update it to work with the new OS or make the IS support Trism.
This games good even though we just started. Im surprised its got the same menu buttons and the same old-version look as the iPod Touch, and it still works. The first app Game we ever got was Bejeweled 2, which is no longer available (Bejeweled Classic is still there); we had no idea about this game, and the fact that it was one of the first to be sold from the AppStore when it first opened back in 2008 (we found that out when its sequel came out after 10 years).
