CashMachine – Strategy Game Review
![]()
CashMachine is a Strategy/Puzzle/Entertainment game from Christophe Cuoq, first launched in 12th September 2009.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 10+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes CashMachine Stand Out
The return of CashMachine, the previous version had been downloaded by over a million players!
In this new version you will find:
- new HD Retina graphics for both iPhone and iPad
- new original game modes: "Flash" mode to start a game very quickly with lines already present and "Magnetic" mode which sticks all the columns to the right of the screen.
- An integration of scores in GameCenter
- The game board goes from 7 lines to 8.
-
The total number of objects increases from 12 to 14 for an even greater challenge!
Small reminder for those who do not know the game:
CashMachine is a game with a very simple principle but with an almost unlimited lifespan. You must eliminate identical objects by grouping them by three or more. But what's really innovative about CashMachine is that every time you eliminate a group of items, they turn into a different item of greater value.
For example if you put together three silver pieces, they will turn into one gold piece. If you put together three gold coins they will turn into a banknote and so on. Thus, the more you progress in the game, the more the type of different objects in play increases.
This results in a very progressive but very real difficulty after several minutes of play.Find us on Facebook :

If youre looking through the reviews, then yay for you. Something that should be addressed throughout them though, is that most say that there is a glitch in the score tracker, and that it subtracts when it shouldnt. This in fact is not a glitch, but simply a part of the game. You see, when you match 3 icons together, it creates one higher level icon. Because of how the game works, this one icon is worth less than 3 (or more noticeably with more) icons of one level below, resulting in a (temporarily) lower score. Although, each piece is still worth more than those before, and in some cases multiple of the previous level are more than one of the next level. The game is not broken, although it might need some score value readjustment. Unfortunately, the game creator needs to update the software to be playable for the modern version of the IPhone, so it is currently unplayable anyway. There is an online version, so maybe enjoy it there. Hopefully, the creator will return.
We really love the changes to this game, but in the new version the controls are very unresponsive. 75% of the time our swipes are not even registered, and so we often have to repeatedly do the same command over and over again before it works. Please fix this! It's very hard to play around this given the timed nature of the new modes.
Cash machine is ok, but we like the internet version better. The other people are right, the score does tend to subtract points when it seems like it should add, but we're gunna' give it 5 because that might be what it is suppoesed to do.
It was a favorite but now we realize it subtracts when it should add points. Fix it or we will delete.
We love this game. Sure the graphics might not be the best but you don't need detailed graphics for this game. And if you're looking for a game with quality graphics you probably wouldn't be playing this one even if it did. Great puzzle game especially since it's free.
An interesting game. The concept is familiar and been done before, but the spin-off it provides on the concept are completely unique and original. The interface is simple and elegant, the graphics clean and professional. Whenever we are looking for something to do, this is one of the first things we turn to. Always presenting a challenge, this game is the way to go.
This is a nicely produced game. It looks like a lot of other games, but it's actually fairly unique. It will get you thinking. The graphics are sparse, but clean and polished. The theme is obviously intentional, as opposed to a result of terrible art. It deserves more than 3 stars. But since it's currently free, you'll want to adjust for Apple's boneheaded "rate on delete" "feature.".
We love this game it's one of the best puzzle game.we will tell our friends to download it. But the control need a provement.
These guys simply reinvent match-3 genre and put in on the new level. Don't complain, if you don't know how to play, there are instructions inside for you there.
Who cares about graphics with this kind of game. If your attention span is that short that you constantly have to look at "awesome" graphics, then these types of games are not for you. Anyway this game does offer a cool twist on the match three aspect. We do like the strategy involved in eliminating the pieces before the board fills up. We found ourselves trying to beat our previous score constantly before we had to tear ourselves away. It starts out easy enough but that's where the strategy comes into play to stay on top of things. A game is not all about grapics all the time.
This game is really one of the best puzzle game we have ever played. The gameplay is simple but sooooo addictive. Can't stop playing this game, anyone loving puzzle game should give it a try.
Most match three games consist of match three or more elements of some sort which then disappear giving you points of some sort. Cash machine has a much more strategic angle to it. In cash machine you match three or more tiles to create and high level or ranked tile worth more points than a lower level tile. The trick is to get as many high level tiles on the board by the end of the game as possible. The tiles are dropped in groups of two that you can rotate and place by falling down on the board. The game comes with two modes, a timed and untimed both of which have online leaderboards as well as achievements. We have spent a lot of time with this game and we can recommend to any match three fan looking for a twist.
We noticed that our score decreases and we have made a match of three so it should increase. We think there might be a glitch in the score keeping.
We like to play this game whenever we get a chance- the logic aspect is neat too.
Its a really good idea. Match three where one piece is left behind. The problem is that "Alchemize" came out at just about the same time with more game modes, better graphics, and a better playing area.
With the score, you notice that every piece that's in the board gives you points (money). But when we made a x6 or x7, the score like goes down for each piece you clear off the board. 1 star for the score glitch. Make it increase every piece you clear off the board. And another one too, the undo, most of the time, it won't let us undo, right after we make a chain most or some of the time. 1 star for the undo too. 2 stars!:(.
The update did not improved performance… Quite the opposite… It lags on our 3g iphone now. An update soon to fix this problem…. It is unplayable.
We do not understand why we need to keep our finger on the screen all the time so we can swipe… Very bad controls… No responsiveness to quick actions. Repair that for bigger rating from us. It is unplayable.
This game used to be our favorite but with the latest update, the performance is worse. Moreover it repeating asks us to allow it to track our location. WTF? Why does the game need to know where we stay? Even worse, even after canceling the location tracker, it repeatedly asks to track location every 45 seconds or so. VERY ANNOYING.
This app is not very bad but its artwork is just pain for the eye. In these days a bad looking game is a failed game.
This are the worse effects we've seen in a game.
