There is nothing special or fun about the game. It actually gets really boring after a few levels.
Love this app. Very addictive. Just wish they added more levels. Also, it could get gradually more difficult as well. The last levels they added we could've won with our eyes closed.
Why does it take so long to get new levels it doesn't make any sense. The levels seem very simple what's the problem.
At lvl 419 we can't beat it, we destroy all of the blocks but it doesn't go to the next level the balls just keep going.

We love this game, a really good vision for old-school, we just have 1 suggestion, when you get a 1 extra ball power-up, it should be yellow, just like the picture, and when you get 2 extra balls, they should be red and blue, again, just like the picture, but the only problem is, whenever you play a level, why do you start with only one heart? Why not 2? We mean, theres a space for one more heart, its not like its an extra. You know what would make this cool? If there was a Soft-Body version of the gameplay, embodying the ideas we typed in this review, Speaking of which, now focusing on THE idea, this is the main reason we like the game, its rebirthing the idea AND VISUAL of Retro Tennis, the visual is 2 lines, a border, and a ball Like An Average School Breakfast, if youre an adult, Theres A Highly Likely Chance YOU LOVE Old-School games, but though.. You Despise The Lack Of Creativity ( Game Design ): adding blocks as the target is a standard upgrade, but its still bland, SO you take out one player, put the main player on the bottom, make the block(s) colorful, An extra S because you know why, just in case you dont, you dont add just one block, thats dull, add some more to the party! lastly you add power-ups Just Like An Average Video Game, we Love The Visual.
This game is a classic.. Brings us so much happiness. Everyday we have to play at least 2 levels.
We are notorious for downloading games, playing a day or 2 and then deleting because the ads are so invasive or the side quests/story lines are so annoying. We love this game because we can just simply play for as short as a minute or two or longer. We like that it saves our progress. Im on level 115. It reminds us a bit of an old game on Commodore 64 called Krakout. Definitely will be keeping this one.
We already accidentally cancelled our review a couple times so Ill make it short So, this game is AMAZING and we have massive respect, we hate that modern mobile devs are just grinding out terrible and greedy games so seeing an honest game by good people makes us happy. So first off, if the last block has a star you cant get it, so we say stars should appear every 1/4, 2/4, and 3/4 of blocks destroyed, if 1/4 of blocks is 4.25 then the 5th block has a star and if its 6 then the 6th block. Make them override power ups to avoid confusion. Also, It would help a ton if the position of the paddle that balls hit affected the angle they move. If they hit the middle they go straight up, far left they go 35-45 degrees up and to the left, (amount is your choice) same with the far right, and then calculate everywhere inbetween. There are many instances that the ball bounces like the dvd logo between corners for a while before finally hitting a block, and it would also just add more complexity and skill ceiling. This one is our top priority. Some minor ones would be giving momentum to scrolling, to make it faster and smoother. The main menu should let you go to level select. The gun power up is unable to stack with itself. And making sure the blocks are even with the grid, because apparently they arent. Ive noticed that theres some randomness to how the ball angles off of blocks, if you start a level and the ball goes left, then starting the level again with it still going left could give it a different trajectory. This could be due to the unevenness in blocks. We do have to say something about the graphics and especially the power up graphics, but we cant say about how to improve it. Other reviews seem to talk about ads making sound when the game is muted and also about a bug that frames the game bigger than the screen but we havent tested or experienced these.
The other blockbuster tried to make us pay to continue over and over.
Im 57 years old, and old school! We have managed to make it to the last level 1,700. We wish the designers of the game would update the game with more levels.

We are so good at this game! Can you make it impossible for us to beat the game.
Ive been playing for a while now, Im a bit over level 1000, this game is just what we wanted it, no side quests, no daily missions, no nothing, just as it used to be, it does have the stars but it really doesnt matter if you want to get them or not, it doesnt affect the game at all. Theres only 2 things we think it could be improve but theyre really no big deals so Im not taking stars away for it: 1. We usually play with the sound off but we have tu go back and silence the game every time because it doesnt save the choice, is not really an issue but itd be nice if it was just as you left it every time. 2. We like to get all the stars and Ive had to re-play a game just because the last star was at the last brik or didnt have enough time to fall down before the game was over, itd be nice if the stars would self-collect if theyre falling once the game is won.
Its exactly as we would expect. Works great on our iPhone 7. We have gotten through over 300 levels without getting bored because it slowly gets harder and harder, and theres still hundreds more levels to play. There are advertisements that pop up (its a free game so yea ads duh) and they are SUPER SUPER short, most of the time we dont even have to click the GIANT x button in the corner of them because the game will close them for us almost immediately. The changing background is fun too, the stars in the back is always really exciting to us and feels brand new each time. Would love to see more random backgrounds added btw. We would also love control over the different audio elements, sometimes the power-up sounds feel a little aggressive. But these are suggestions make this game more perfect. Love it.
It is like a pinball machine but 4x better.
We love this game but it has a few tweaks that need to be made one its stupid but the screen is to big for our phone so we cant see all the blocks so that kinda takes a star of and another star is the instant death drops are two common and its really annoying because the game is just like chance because of how common the death drops are one last thing is you need to get three stars in each level but sometimes you get the star on the very last block so this makes it seriously impossible for you to get all three stars so you have to do it again but dont get us wrong. This game is really fun. Its easy and has tons of levels not to mention the sound effects are really soothing obviously the developer doesnt really care about these reviews because theres been tons of complaints about the screen being too big and its never changed.
This is a good game, but the screen resolution with our phone (12 mini) makes it hard or even impossible to see some of the blocks.
This is a fun game that tests your reflexes. Id love to play more, but Ive been out of levels for months. Id give it 5 stars if you added a lot more levels.
Just anticlimactic bearing the game. Just beat it and nothing happens and you can repent level 1700 again. Got about a little digital fireworks like in Mario Bros.

The ads may be necessary but it distracts from the game. Do we need to have Duncan donuts at the very top of the iPad. Offer ad free option and we might play the game more often and longer.
This app tries to steal personal data by reading from the clipboard. Not OK.
We dont want sound in games. Doesnt matter if its fun, when an add starts screaming, we delete the game. Simple. Didnt give it a chance after ads started to scream at us.

Didn't think you could beat Blackberry Brickbreaker but you did. Now we can get rid of our OLD Blackberry! Still don't get how to continue the game though. Not clear, so only 4 stars.
Ok so this game is taking us over! We are not really a video game type, but this one is great! We were up till like 12 playing it! It is such a time killer.
Know you have have ads to help with costs. Please do something about the ads interfering with the game. Very annoying.
It was a fun game up until about lvl 700 or so when you have to hit the blocks three times to clear them. Even worse, levels started getting recycled which is a bit lazy. Becomes more of a chore than a game. Other than that it was fun up until that happened. A couple of funny glitches to boot.
Is there a way to pay to make it ad free? We cant find it. Pls help.
We love this game! We play it everyday every chance we get! We have gotten in trouble for playing at work… It is so worth it! Thanks for making an awesome game.
Love this game, it plays well on our phone and has lots of levels. This is one of our favorite games!! Reducing rating from 5 to 4 stars for two cosmetic issues that have been in this game for EVER. (1) The select level screen needs to actually scroll with a finger flip like most lists behave. Its a long list, lets get some inertia in there! (2) It would be nice if the game would remember our sound on/off settings between sessions as is we have to reset it to silent every time. Minor complaints in an otherwise fun app.
So you cant see some of the blocks. The ball also travels off the edge of the screen and it is easy to miss hitting it back up because you cant see it. The game play is rather meh. Moving the paddle by sliding your finger is not a great means of control. It does get 3 stars for not being filled with ads. Thanks for that.
This game is a bit stiff. Usually the place the ball hits the pedal affects the angle of the shot, but its not so in this case. Its one side or the other. Nigh impossible to hit it straight up and down. Dont love it due to this lack of paddle control.
Frustrating that we have to go and press play on our music as it automatically pauses after each level pass…..other than that its just like the original game which is fun to play.

The game has played fine until this latest update. We tap on the level to play and the game crashes instantly. This is one of our favorite games so we hope this is fixed soon.

Fun & simple to play. Our only complaint is that you cant collect the third star when its in the last remaining block. We just played 11 levels & 9 of them put the third star in the final block requiring us to replay the level.
Great way to kill time while waiting for appointments. Id love it even more if we could buy an ad free versionone is shown as an in app purchase but it is never offered.
This is our favorite game but the content of the ads is annoying except the one game with the gun towers and soldiers, still wish we didnt have ads.
Good game very fun addictive for sure.
