Hear from the Players – Bricasso Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Bricasso:

We love this app. We use it for prototyping smaller Lego builds and components for our larger creations. Works perfectly fine on our iPad (latest gen) and on our old phone. However, on the 6s we are currently using, the menu accessed by the gear button is not working properly at all. The only pop up option that comes up is c… And tapping it just dismissed the menu. Also, the photo export button evokes the same c… Menu and the sharing options dont appear at the top of the screen although the text and menu outline is there. We perfectly understand if you dont fix this issue as youve already moved on to Bricasso 2 (considering purchase) but its annoying all the same.

This is a awesome game and is awesome to play but we feel like it could be improved, possibly add presets to build off of, make it easier to control the blocks, but other than that, its a great game.

We think it was not worth the money because Bricasso 2 is free and has much more variety of colors . Bricasso 1 is 1.00 and has less colors to pick from. But we think it is a great game which deserves some respect. In the future we would like them to add -a infinite world which you could build on -a page were you can view other peoples builds -a bigger variety of colors and blocks to use.

Hello! We Love Your App, But There Is Some Problems First, we Tried Tilting our IPad Screen, And Keeps Getting Messed Up! Second, WHY CANT YOU ADD MINIFIGURES? Please! Just Add More Bricks And Minifigures! Thank You!

It’s hard to control the bricks and place them where you want. You can’t place them outside the platform and the biggest size is 16×16. There isn’t a good variety of bricks. The biggest size is 6×6.

This game is so cool we love the game it needs killing and guns but we love!!!! This game.

Needs doors, the ability to delete, better gui and people.

Great start for this app. We would like to see more pieces (doors, windows, etc..) also cant use the wheels. You can only stack everything on top of the base.

Is this an FPS game? NO! So they won’t add that SO DONT EVEN RECCOMEND IT ITS A 4+ APP NOT AN FPS APP! If they see it they will start crying! So SHUSH THAT,anyways good app, weed tweeds, don’t be using guns in a 4+ app.

As an earlier review said… "A great start." we hope this is only the beginning. Limited piece selection, and a somewhat balky process for rotating pieces, or getting them to go exactly where you want them, but all in all, A WHOLE LOT OF FUN!!! Oh, and no little plastic bricks to step on barefoot in the middle of the night.

Ok you know how good BRICASO is it’s number one it’s just like the best game you could play if you read this review it’s good it’s our very first time writing a review but we continue building so when you try this update expect that,ITS THE BEST GAME we EVER PLAYED. Look here at the ratings read the new review when it comes to the game you’ll say,THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER HAD now it’s getting longer has you can see and it costs $0.99. We’re as talkative as this whole review we hope you enjoy ISG IT SO GOOD.

Ours is not working please fix it.

We cannot make the building plate bigger. :L.

We would rate this awesome game 5 stars if the Lego blocks selection had more variety and more features like maybe a book in the game that shows you how to build this and that with the blocks from bricasso. And here is one big problem you need to fix in the next update. On the iPad, the box with blocks in it and the painting bucket aren’t there! Last thing, you need to make an option that allows the building plate to be big. It’s too small! Overall, ok game.

It feels like it is missing a lot of things, and there are a few problems to be corrected.

The interface is nice, but the parts selection is awful.

This app isn’t worth the time it took to make! It’s a scam! It launches and crashes! The douch that made it probably can’t pay their rent, is a pot dealer that owes money or is a pimp.

Fix this!!! Why would we pay the money and then get "NOTHING" in return. Try explaining to a 5 year old that the game we just bought him doesn’t work!!! Thanks a lot!!!

The app launches, but immediately crashes. We sincerely hope this is another victim of the instability of version 8 that will be resolved with an update to version 8.

Hey, this app refuses to open on our iPad Air. Please fix this issue we would like to try it at least.

The part selection lacks, there is no undo button, and there are strict limits on how big your model can be. Not worth 99 cents at all. We would much rather just have an official LEGO digital designer app.

Game immediately crashes once opened. Plz fix or giv us refund.

Yeah just bought this for our 7 year old and it doesn’t even open.

Getting a lot of enjoyment out of this first version, and while it can surely go a long way from here, it’s very promising and well done. The execution is very fresh, it feels much like real lego. Currently you can only stack on top, so if you want a part hanging underneath a ledge, you’re not gonna be able to do it yet. The parts currently available are limited to 1x, 2x, and round bricks and plates, x2 slopes and x3 slopes, a few free floating wheels and a couple of small tiles. Parts already placed in the model cannot be changed in color without replacing, and the example models are a good example of the current size limitations But we definitely recommend buying this app.

Our kids and we enjoy this app but it’s missing an important feature… Saving! Sure you can save a screenshot (don’t even need the app to provide that). First step to improve is for the app to keep the current model across app launches. Then all models to be saved in a native editable format. Please?!

We would like to see an iPad native version as well as the iPhone/iPod version. A wider variety of bricks, and a way to save builds for tinkering would be nice as well. We’re sure that if it were possible to import or export the LDD files, that there would be those who would love that. Maybe it could export a list of bricks, instead of the full LDD file? For myself, we think the ability to creatively "sketch" a build and keep it in a library would be pretty darn good. The ability to set scenes that stick, or are just simple color fields would be handy too. It’s a good start, easy and intuitive. Keep up the good work :)

This is a really good LEGO building app but there is quite a few improvements that need to be made. Snot modeling (Studs Not On Top) Headlight bricks, jumper plates, and more tiles are needed. Export to LDraw feature Save function Larger build area More pieces in general–there just aren’t enough.

If you are a fan of Legos at all, this app is almost exactly what you want. If you can’t afford the dollar, put one of your kids up on eBay, because the other kid will love you forever for buying Bricasso. The controls are close to perfect. Our 4-year-old took to it immediately, with no instruction whatsoever, and built the coolest wintery wonderland we’ve ever seen. The reason we say "almost" is due to the fact that it could use some additional features, so please buy the game so the developer can update it accordingly. You won’t be sorry.

Really good and easy to get started on building unlike blocks and solid dots this one is the best! Our only problem is that it needs a save system so u don’t only take screenshots you can always come back and edit it. Also maybe some more different bricks like some wheels and wheel connectors. Otherwise good.

Calling to all Lego lovers! This is definitely for u!!!!! It has VERY EASY controls. But, this app needs an update that gives u a bigger variety of bricks and being able to save and go back to structures u built and not just take screen shots. Please update soon. Overall, this app is great! We just love it!

Poor interface, limited brick choices, and extreme limitations on model size. We are not happy having spent money in this app.

We haven’t been able to use it once since we purchased it because all it does is crash. What a waste of money!!! It gets to the screen where we choose which series, then we choose one of the two, then it crashes and boots us out EVERY time.

Love love love this app. If you love Lego grab this app right now. The controls are great and it’s easy to jump right in and start building. We agree with other reviewers that with some updates this could be better than best, but it’s a great start, so forget those laggy other block apps and pick this one up. Just one more thing to the developer, please please give us just a blank background choice that we can change the color of, the scenes are great we would love the option to have no scene at all. Update: After tinkering around with this app it simply the best Lego app around and very easy to use, really needs a save option, more and different pieces and one more thing, the small round pieces and cylinders should be able to be placed in between the nubs on the bricks like a top cap instead of only being able to place them directly on the nub. Please take this into consideration for an update. Finally, all lego junkies pick this up, it’s great despite a few hiccups. 5 stars for Lego look, feel and style. Hopefully updates are on the way soon.

A very fun LEGO builder, however it is quite limited as detailed by the review below us. In addition to those changes, we should be able to use Technique pieces, and there should be an option to save/name models as well. We would love to see the developer add these changes and many more types of pieces, as well as get rid of the border and height limitations. We would also like to be able to remove the initial flat palette block, and when we click "Screenshot," it should remove the tool bar from the photo. As much work as this needs, we are thoroughly enjoying this first version, and everyone who loves LEGO blocks should give it a go!

This app is very well made, however it should have more pieces and there should be a place to save your creations. Even without those features the app is the best Lego building app we’ve seen. We hope they make and updated to include those features.
