Community Insight:

We love this game and first discovered it years ago when it was new. It is visually beautiful with wonderful music and amusing gameplay. There are multiple chances to solve each puzzle. We appreciate unlimited opportunities.

This game, like many, was a part of our childhood and we are glad to see it still running. Thank you for updating it consistently.

We played this game years ago and recently began playing again, its just as fun as we remember.

For children and adults alike, are captured by a kinder, gentler way to pass time than with explosions, murder and looting. Much gratitude goes out to the creators.

Worth the money, clever, and gorgeous.

Challenging and rewarding, with great sound design to minimize frustration, Contre Jour is a game of stress relief and finger dexterity.

If you like World of Goo, you will love this game.

The art is beautiful, the music pleasing. We play at the end of our evening after tiring of our "in app purchase" games and our tolerance for greedy developers is shot. It's relaxing and challenging. Sometimes we go back to lower levels just to clear our head for sleep. It never tells you "you FAILED, youSUCK, YOU'RE DEAD!" Instead you get pleasant feedback, and you can determine if you need or want to do better, or simply find nirvana in the art & completion of the puzzle. Love it.

This game is an adorable, soothing work of art.

One of the best puzzles we've ever played. One of the best games we've ever played period. And we're a gamer. Reminds us of the game Portal.

Just get it if you like 'physics' games.

This is that great game that everyone should play. Only people who truly understand it, and can find their own interpretation of it are the ones who will find this game appealing . For us, it is one of the reasons why we get up in the morning. We even bought the soundtrack and listen to it almost every day. This game is more than just game which is why it deserves more than a 5/5.

Beautiful graphics and score plus addicting gameplay….this is art in action people..and proves the power of games when you do them completely right.

Beautiful and fun. If you like interactive puzzles we highly recommend this one.

This was our favorite app game back in the day. Gonna reinstall it to our phone and play it again.

Contre Jour, if you like these types of puzzle games you will enjoy this one, pleasing design, humor, most of the puzzle's aren't too difficult but there are a number of head scratchers, plenty of fun for three bucks. The game works very well, the way in which you grab the little eye ball/head works flawlessly and allows you great control of the game pieces, well suited to the iPad inerface.

This game WAS fun……till level 10!!! Then it all comes to an end!!!! Whenever they WARN you about skipping the level, you know it's over! People, don't believe all the positive reviews like we did, don't waste your money on this one.

We first fell in love with Mr. Leon's music on Smule Piano. We played the songs over and over, wondering where they came from. Finally checked it out on iTunes and found that the music was created for this game. Now, we're hooked on the game. We LOVE brain teasers and this is a good one! We highly recommend Contre' Jour.

One of our favourites iPhone games! Beautiful soundtrack and sound design. Great layout and gameplay, appealing aesthetics, and nice flow of difficulty as you progress through the levels.

We've had three iPads and install this on each one. The music alone is awesome and without the Ads it is one of the best games out there to just chill with. Definitely worth trying if you want a laid back mellow game.

Difficulty gets pretty intense as you progress. Great modern puzzle game. Design is cool too.

This game is part dexterity and part puzzle. The rules make it so you have to manipulate the environment instead of the character, which requires a shift in how we usually play games. Beyond that, you have to figure out how to navigate the little guy through these boards, which can require a fair bit of timing and finesse. We highly recommend it.

Awesome music, beautiful design and interesting missions.

No ads here, just a really fun, challenging game.

A beautiful, atmospheric, relaxing game. A tour de force.

Says it all. Loved it 2 years ago when we first bought it. Now it's even better on the iPhone 6 plus.

The beautiful music keeps us playing this game. The game is also very nice, and the dark colors make it even more relaxing to play. Very nice job.

Delightful game, enjoyable music. Both challenging and relaxing.

No ads. Wonderfully conceived. Almost perfectly executed. A joy to play and play again.

Fun, challenging, and relaxing. We like games that we have to use our brain and this is the perfect combination of features. Thanks.

We really love this game, the colors, the music, everything. We find it rather peaceful. It's also a very fun game, similar to Cut the Rope.

Good puzzle game concept. Good artwork. Relaxing soundtrack. Not sure what else you could ask for. 5 stars.

It was always a great game. Now that ads are gone its once again a five star app.

Great game – Definitely makes you think.

We loved this game on our nexus 7 and wanted to buy it again for ios. Reading the reviews we were saddened to hear they had added ads to a paid app. We emailed Chillingo to ask why they did this and received a response saying they had removed this feature that advertised their other games. We purchased immediately. This game is beautiful. It's fun, challenging and has one of the best soundtracks we've ever heard. We especially love the ability to skip any level we just can't seem to beat. There are in-app purchases but these are unnecessary to buy. You can unlock every level the old fashioned way.

We did not think we would enjoy this game as much as we do. It makes you think & understand the levels in order to complete it. Lots of levels & a fantastic sound track. This quickly has become a favorite of ours. Very cool concept & gameplay is awesome.

Amazing! Good graphics, nice music, and nice layout, too. It's worth every penny.

You're like an old friend, we missed you when you were gone (during the iOS7 update) and we're happy to see you back. This game is better than ever.

We've been waiting for an update for a long time can't wait to play again.

First we hate the cheesy piano music. Solo piano music? Feels cheap production-wise and does little to support the mood. In our opinion. Second we just feel no affection towards the one-eyed monster. "Why am we delivering you towards a portal? We don't even like you. And why do you want to go there anyhow? Did we miss the plot here?".

Costs $3 to get rid of the adds but well worth it – they are highly intrusive an ruin the mood of the game.

Love the game. It's simple and fun. Graphics are amazing.

Made it to level 40 and just close her down. Was hoping for more variety.

When we saw pictures of this game, we were reminded of world of goo which is one of our favorite indie games. After playing this game for a few hours we can say it does share some gameplay with world of goo, but is a fine game in its own right. The game looks beautiful on a retina enabled iPad and the game has beautiful music. Now for the bad part… One of the later updates added ads for other games to the main menu, pause screen, and level selection screen. Normally we are not too bothered by ads, but this is a paid app, and it really breaks the mood the rest of the game creates.

The game is fun, intuitive, wonderfully distracting, and so so pretty, but we can't give it a better rating until the constant ads go away. This is a paid app. Boo on ads. CONSTANT ads.

Obnoxious ads added to a paid app… Sad.

This title is similar to CTR (our favorite!) but we found the controls too frustrating to continue past the first "world" before we deleted the app. With this developer's other titles, the controls are very straightforward and easy to understand & implement. For some reason we just had trouble getting the hang of manipulating the blob-earth…sometimes we would move it and it would do what we wanted, other times we would do the same action and it wouldn't budge, or move the blob in a different, unintended way. Looking forward to other titles from this developer, though! :).

It's a beautiful app. The pictures are stunning and the music is gorgeous. But we paid $2.99…there really should not be ads. There aren't ads on the iphone version, which we paid less for. The ads take away from what was a perfect game. Please take them away.

We paid for this. Please get rid of the ads.

This game would be a five-star app for sure, and was until a recent update included irritating ads in an app that we already paid for, even on the pause screen! Not sure it was worth it anymore. Update the game to remove the crap and we'll talk again, developers.
