Backgammon has been played throughout the world for thousands of years. ZingMagic's critically acclaimed version of Backgammon was one of the first Backgammon games for iOS.
In essence Backgammon is a simple race game. The object is to move the pieces around the board towards your inner table. Once all 15 of your pieces have arrived in the inner table, they can be removed from the board. The first player to remove all his pieces from the board is the winner. Although game play is highly skilful, moves rely on the roll of the dice introducing an element of luck.
A common complaint against all Backgammon dice games is that it cheats. So does it cheat? absolutely not, what would be the point? Still don’t believe us then roll your own dice outside the game and enter those values to play against any of the game levels. Backgammon also keeps track of all the dice rolls so you can check on the game yourself.
Back gammon is also known as narde, tavli, gammon, nardi, shesh besh! or tavla.

App uses dice rolls to adjust difficulty level, rolls are not random. Very irritating. App does have decent interface.
Uninstalling after playing two games on our iphone. This app consistently freezes and requires a restart if you accidentally touch and drag the top of the screen as you select a chip.
We love this game and purchased several years ago because we dont want to see ads. Suddenly an ad banner is constantly running on the bottom of our screen. Why pay for it if we have to have to put up with distracting ads anyway.
We are a very seasoned backgammon player, and we know about AI rigging. In expert mode, the game will give you rolls that are almost always disadvantageous, giving the computer a consistently unfair advantage. Even when you compensate for the rolls by attempting to avoid the trap it sets for you, it continues to feed you the only roll that exposes you. Backgammon is a great game, but just understand that the game is set against you, giving the computer a consistent advantage. Might want to evaluate the creator of the game and their country of origin for clues "why" they do this.
Just like any AI app this one hates to lose. Seems like every time the game NEEDS a certain roll, it gets it. Now the app is crashing or locking up. No, our iPad is fine. Thanks, but no thanks. This app is shaky at best.
We have 40+ years experience playing backgammon. This game is rigged against human players. Latest version crashes constantly. If you are looking for a decent game of backgammon, keep looking. Maybe the next version.

Really enjoying playing. However, at the expert level, the computer cheats – crappy rolls for us, great for it. We find the difficult level great – fair "statistical" rolls, however, some of its plays lack any strategy.
