This app is really cool although it doesnt tell you the directions how to use it The only reason we could figure out its because we had a tamagotchi so we think this app should have directions.
Brings us back to our childhood. Fun little game when your bored.
Our monster keeps dying for no reason, we take care of it perfectly but it still dyes. Can you please fix this.
So we first start the game it freezes we press a button kicks us out/crashes bad game FIX THAT NOOOOOOW.
Its fun to just sit down and hang out with.
Reminds us of when we were a kid and got our first giga pet. We were wondering if it gives you another pet like the original. The one we had we started off with a t rex than it gave us another animal when we raised it to a certain age. It was like a reward for keeping your pet alive for so long.
We love this game! It's just like tamagotchis back in the day. Our only qualm is that you have to use bluetooth to battle your friends. But, that does add to the retro feel. Overall very fun and well done, and for free too.
It was a Little hard to understand at first but the instructions was pretty forward. Over all its pretty cool. The only down fall is getting your pet energy. The power task is hard.
Not the most wild or engaging game to play, but we like it because its fun to take care of the little pet. Its enjoyable for the little reasons.
The ads wont close half the time, so its hard to play.
Its a bit confusing to figure out how to play, Im about to try and find a tutorial on how to play because its hard to navigate and a bit confusing to maneuver selections as well.
Feels nothing like what we remember growing up with. We got way too many notifications, even right after taking care of our pet, which felt more like a nuisance than anything due to having to feed it exactly 25 times to fill the hunger bars; thats 50 taps. It grew into the same creature every time, in one stage of growth, and stayed that way for a very short time. The others you can buy are crammed into such a small and overly low-resolution space that you cant tell what youre looking at and feel sorry for them even being there. It also beeps with every tap even when your phone is set to vibrate.

We love this game we wish our phone was working so we take care of it every day we're only 14 BUT we WAS THERE DERING 02, TAMERS , AND FRONTIER, AND A LITTLE OF DATA SQUAD AND YOU KNOW IM WATCHING FUSION digimon for ever :-D.
We remember as a kid our friends had this toy but they where rich and we were poor so we wasn't able to get this and now we do.
OMG this is so much like the real vpet and we wanted one so badly because it was the original digimon this is what started digimon.

We love this app because it reminds us of digimon and the digivices.
We never had the original 1997 before, so it was fun to try out, but The poor thing is fine one minute sleeping then the app closes us out and it acts as if it has been up for hours some how. It is a fun app, but either it is pretty buggy or the original virtual pets had some issues.
We thought this was going to be a fun app but it sucked ! The graphics sucked ! But for a strange reason it turns us on am we high ? Probably.

If u don't remember these toys search " Digital Monster (virtual pet) " into Wikipedia. To pause your game: Go to settings on your main page, at the bottom there will be settings for individual games, select vpet gen1free, then select enable pause. Vpet gen2 has an easy to use pause button. We highly recommend both gens of vpets. Hatchi is also decent. 99 cents is more than fair for these vpets. Original digimon are very collectible and expensive. This is nearly the same experience for less than a dollar.
We hope vpet 2 will still be the same UI with those 8 icons and the slightly different background and the color of right hand side just like digimon gen 2, the first one we've got 10 years ago.

This is exactly what we were hoping to find when searching for a virtual pet! We hope to find someone to battle with and see everything that the app does.
Reminds us of the first giga pets tat came out, only this time for iPod and iPad this time. Now we need giga baby and tamagotchi. We will b a happy person.
Very fun game we want to get the full version buy we don't have money but other than that its fun.
Except we can't get the pause feature to work, and help.

This app has single handily brought us back to our iPhone!!! It is so worth upgrading to the full paid version! You won't regret it. Longer lifespan and much more pets to get! Online battles as well. Best app ever made. Keep up the good work Ryan.

One star knocked off for the annoying prompts to upgrade to the paid version.

How in the world do we pause ??? We tried holding for 3 seconds and that doesn't work.
Hi everyone the help button says we can pause the Vpet if we touch on the screen for 3 seconds. But when we did it, our pet is still moving around. Am we supposed to do something else to pause it? We can't sleep well due to this game @@.

Ok: 1. If u read our tamagotchi review, it's true, but the part about the notifications is EVEN MORE true to this So we were playing with our vpet for a long time trying to make it happy,then the second we x'ed-out a notification pops up saying our vpet is hungry or weak after we just fed it and trained it for an hour!!!!! 2. Colors Please fix the colors it's so dark and dull, maybe there should be a choice (Anyone who thinks this too should send out a review about this) we know that we're someone who likes bright neon colors, and maybe the color of the environment will change the way it evolves 3. Games? There should seriously be more games that you can do with your vpet. We mean is training REALLY all there is? U can at least think of something creative or even more food choices for that matter! We could go on for a few more numbers to get our points through but we'll stop here. PLEASE FIX THIS.
We restarted this thing 3 times now and every time it had died for no reason at 4 years old before it evolves to the next form – it goes to bed poo swept and nicely fed with the light off and can't be up for more than 40 minutes before we take a look at it… Seems like a pretty rough glitch (all combinations of care mistakes, etc. Must not be accounted for and causing it to blow up) Other than that pretty sweet and nostalgic :).
This is super fun and very nostalgic but you're supposed to be able to pause the game (apparently by holding down on the screen) but this hasn't worked for us. Please fix the pausing feature.
Too many prompts to upgrade. It has a glitch that keeps pausing and unpausing all by itself.
This is awesome. But it now. This thing is so cool. We wasted our money on others but we're so glad we found this. Get it. Very great and addictive.

Exactly what we were looking for. Brings back old memories. Just wish they would incorporate all the gens into it giving it a wide variety of options to change into. Then it would be perfect.
We've been looking for a game like this since we lost our original handheld one. But we'd like to battle over wifi instead of Bluetooth so we can battle anyone. Also after 5 days our monster was reset and we have to start over now :/.
