What Makes Wide Sky Stand Out
For a marine mammal, the hedgehog spends a disconcerting amount of time on land. What do they want, what are they up to?
Hedgehogs are troubled spirits, and yet, they never fail to entertain the masses with their acrobatic feats. Many people don't know, however, that hedgehogs aren't born this way. Hedgehogs need to be trained and molded into the tiny, fiscally responsible acrobats we know and love.
That's where you come in.
Train your hedgehog in more than 40 challenges and keep his cunning mind from veering. We will give you a sensible amount of ropes (11) and 6 special powers, like the ability to deploy a parachute, control the wind or summon a vortex. Your challenges will change with the nature of those powers.
So, crash those orbs as fast as you can, collect those stars and keep track of your performance with built-in stats. We will even let you tweak the rope physics, because we're not just accomplished scientists, we're also human.
You might encounter detailed animation along the way. But don't fall for it. It's designed to fool you into empathy.

Wide Skys audiovisuals, tone, and touch gestures place this game ahead of its time. Theyre just as whimsical as we remember them. The challenges hold surprising difficulty. Each one pushes a player to try different approaches and, ultimately, improve! With enough patience, continuously clearing challenges makes the hedgehogs acrobatics feel much more natural. Too bad a few elements of the games menus are blocked by our devices notch. Its a stain on the games presentation. Overall, Ive enjoyed rediscovering Wide Sky! Its an appealing way to pass a few minutes at a time.

We've been playing this for a while now, and we've gotta say, this game looks absolutely amazing. The design is really well done and we commend the developers for such a unique and beautiful presentation. However, the actual game doesn't fly so far. It's addicting at first, but as soon as you're at the point where you're stumped on the challenges, the game becomes frustrating. There should definitely be improvements on the functionality of the game because sometimes the missions seem practically impossible. This app has so much potential, but it needs to improve. We've been stuck on Sparrow for forever…. Edit: we changed our review to 5 stars. This game is absolutely brilliant. Of all the games we've played on a phone, this game is the most aesthetically appealing and unique. We haven't played this game in a while, but for some reason we keep coming back to it. We've finally moved pass Sparrow and have come to love the functionality of the game. There's simply nothing like it. It truly is a beautiful game, and once you get a hang of it, Wide Sky is a spectacular app to pick up and play. Tl;dr: It's 2015, and we still play this game.
This game will supply you with a cornucopia of facts about nature's misunderstood marvel, the hedgehog. Simply repeat them loudly in public and you will most assuredly impress even the haughtiest zoological expert. Beyond the brilliant writing, this game is just plain fun. Once you learn to master inertia and experience the sheer joy of flying freely through the air and gutting rainbows out of those accursed orbs, you'll be ready to trade in your gawky bipedal ape body for a rope and some quills of your own.
This game is amazing! Fun and challenging and easy on the eyes. Very funny as well. We need more games like this.
We still dont get why are people having so much trouble controlling the little hedgehog. If you dont know how, go to the title screen, slide your finger from the settings icon upward and turn the "game guide" on. Is as simple as that. Even our 4 and 5 year old daughters learned how to play it by themselves. If there's one thing we learned from our gaming experience is that if you dont know how to play it, READ THE FREAKIN INSTRUCTIONS!!! Well, enough talking about the stupid haters. The game itself is great. We love the mechanics you used and it's very pretty to look at and very appealing to the eye. Our kids love this game. Hope to see more games from you man. Keep up the good work.

Never came across such game that is incredibly polished and eye pleasing and packaged below 50 MB. Small file size for games is a huge benefit for most iOS owners.
The game is much more advance for controlling the character and also fun.
It's very pretty, and fun, it has a big learning curve, but once you get the hang of controlling your little hedgehog, you'll be swinging around like Spider-Hog in no time.
This game is the most beautiful game we have ever seen on IPad. Sure, the controls are something to get use to, but it is still a good game. And the challenges to get further in the game are prety creative from our stand point. Swing on.

Hard to understand and get used to, but as soon as you understand then everything is perfect. Just give it a chance and learn how to play and you will enjoy.

We rarely rate apps but we have to make an exception because this app is underrated. The game has a control scheme that is harder than normal to pick up, but once you get it the game is relatively fun and challenging. The detailed tutorial really does help the player understand how to play the game and the developers did an amazing job of keeping it interesting.
We love how people are all like it's to hard! And we don't understand it! You need to keep going and going and never give up! With no patients with a hard game it's going to be hard doing origami and instrument playing especially the violin… We love this game it is our favorite game we have ever played! But we do not recommend for the little kids though we would understand for them (too hard). But we love it and keep up the apps.
We're very impressed with this game. The animations, menu design, and gameplay. Everything is just lovely. It's a very unique game with a great change of pace from all your general apps and games. Our advice to you is get this, it is NOT a frustrating game in anyway shape or form. It's extremely relaxing and gets your mind off things. We're really looking forward to forward productions by this author, we hope he releases more soon! Get this man just take time to figure things out and we guarantee you'll enjoy it.

Such a beautifully designed game. It's become our new game addiction, up there with Tiny Wings for great visuals and great gameplay. We think most of the low reviews are from people who won't take the time to play through the tutorial and actually learn how to play it! Such an underrated and addicting game!! This is not easy to play but amazing entertainment.
If you have had a hard time understanding or playing this game. Give it a second chance. Keep looping around clouds and swinging you will eventually fall in love with your little hedgehog.

The controls were hard to learn, but the game it self is awsome. Good graphics, motion….and character.
Lol, kids these days run into a challenge, get held up, throw down their controllers in a hissy fit, and go back to their CoD respawn timers. This game is challenging and the physics engine is not easy at all to pick up. Once you do, hurling your hedgehog from cloud to cloud is tense and hilarious. If life is hard for you, don't pick up this game.
A perfect example of what mobile gaming should be. IPhone needs more games like this. Amazing animation, fluid gameplay, and completely uninhibited by the constraints of a touch screen. Mobile gaming at its finest.

1st time we played, it was confusing. We didn't even know what we were doing, But sooner we understood this game. N we're loving it… Now.
First off the graphics are very eye catching. Like the other reviews the controls are very confusing at first. Do the tutorials first and start off with touch controls to get the gist of the game. The game is challenging, and requires good coordination. Our only gripe is some the challenges for the ropes are confusing to figure out. But overall the game is very pretty, and fun to play.
We would recommend it to people that like a Challenge.

The controls aren't really that hard, and we ended up coming out of the tutorial with like 7400 points! It also said rank 1 —-rank 1, but we didn't know what we were rank 1 in.
They made the buttons too hard to understand. Too much simplicity in design can be a bad thing and in this case it makes it hard to navigate.
It's a beautiful game and looks fun but we don't understand the instructions they need to be easier to read otherwise it's worth 5 stars it looks cute we love the little hedgehogs scarf.

Wide sky is a game that is in the shadow of big companies everywhere, but it shouldn't be. This game is amazing, addictive, and beautiful. The gameplay is hard at first, but some practice always does it, and the menu is still able to do its job after some journeying. GET THIS GAME. You won't regret it.

This game has great graphics! Being a graphic design student ill play it a bit just for that. If you're looking for a game that is easy to pick up, look elsewhere. In our opinion the controls were a little hard to get the hang of, but creative. Also, the navigation is elegant, but a little confusing at first. Still, we'll give it 5 stars for the graphics and unique concept.
This is an amazing game the story and the whole hedgehog part about it is a little mind boggling but it's easy to control there's tilt and touch controls and there is also a super guide that tells you every little detail of how to control it so stop complaining please this an amazing game.

Very nice game. Controls are a little challenging at first but become much easier the more you play. Great animation and music as well.
The game is highly polished, smooth, shiny, and a complete mess. The core gameplay mechanics make no sense, the menus are confusing, and we don't want to play it anymore. Even something as simple as menu options are confusing (red and blue aren't good options; yes or no or on or off are good indicators). Beautiful, but totally unapproachable.
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this game. We think it's challenging, sure, and it requires some practice before the mechanics make sense. Once they do, though, they are truly fun and whimsical. The music reminds us often original Animal Crossing, and the UI is wonderfully illustrated. Definitely a treasure of an application.
