Descriptions of the Free Features
Here's a brief description of Natural 20 Lite’s screens, which are available free!
~ Quick Roll
Simply pick your dice, and you have an instant result. Ideal for Dungeons & Dragons, Quick Roll offers the following eight dice; D2, D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20 and D100.
~ Multiple Dice
In multiple dice mode you can mix your dice together as you please. Tap each row to add five at a time, or use the plus or minus to add or remove one. You can roll or remove individual dice again. Stats, such as average and the sum, are displayed for each roll saving you counting on screen.
~ Teachers Die
Handy for the classroom, this die will be helpful for Maths and English. You can use it to randomly pick letters, numbers and mathematical operators.
~ Roll History
Natural 20 keeps track of all your rolls, so you can prove you actually rolled that 20! The dice stored in your history can be easily re-rolled and filtered. You can move the dice around the screen, and it will remember your order.
~ Distribution
Distribution allows you to create probability distribution plots for specified dice. These will show you the percentage chance of rolling a particular face value, and you can compare actual rolls against theoretical results. However, large numbers of dice can take a long time to calculate for theoretical plots.
Features unlocked with an in-App Purchase
For $0.99 USD you can permanently unlock the following screens, with a single in-app purchase.
~ Calculator
Great for large numbers of dice, or combinations with a modifier.
~ Custom Die
Custom Die lets you choose the sides of the dice, by separating them with commas. Natural 20 will pick a single item, or order them randomly into a list.
~ Colour Die
This will give you a random colour, just run your finger across the screen like a paintbrush. Displayed on the screen will be some basic information. For example the colour’s hex number, HSB and RGB values.
~ Direction Die
This will point you in a totally random direction with each spin. Swipe the screen to spin it, however you can only influence which way it spins, not the outcome!
~ Success Die
Repeatedly rolls D6’s, discarding when they fail to meet a certain value. The total successes are displayed.
~ Word Die
Keep collections of words, to randomise at a touch. Ideal for selecting locations and enemies randomly. You can even randomise your words as a whole list.
~ My Dice
My Dice allows you to save your own collections of dice, along with a description and optional modifier. These can be easily searched through, and rolled from a single tap.
~ Dice Builder
Chose how many sides your dice have, and their colours!
Random Number Generation
Natural 20 Lite uses your devices built in randomiser (arc4random_uniform) to generate values. This has been tested with large numbers of dice, to ensure there is no bias present. In the full version, Natural 20 offers a screen called "Distribution". This allows you to test this yourself, with rolls of 100,000 dice at a time.
This Entertainment game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
U have to pay for other things but the dice is free we like it.
This app was just the one we were looking for as Im starting to get into D&D and other RPGs. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for making this great and easy to use app! Its user friendly and simply intuitive, no fuss no muss. We love it and yall are awesome.
Maybe if we had percent chances we could coin flip and you decided the percent chance with heads or tails.
Learning to play D&D with a friend. Extremely useful and we would pay (given it had a rolling animation for some reason that counts a lot).
This is our favorite dice rolling app. It's simple to use, straightforward and can do a lot. Always our go to if we're ever without dice for all things RPG related.
Wow that's a lot of versatility for one app, most customizable dice roller we've ever seen on app store or play store.
Simple, functional, and even the ads aren't obnoxious.
Does exactly what we need!! Thank you.
We never write reviews so you know we enjoy this app. After using it extensively while on vacation (we know, we know, what nerd leaves the dice home), we feel confident enough to say this is a must for the mobile dice user. Worried about it being rigged in some way? We were, and with a several hour car ride and nothing but time, we rolled the die 1000 times and got a result: it isn't rigged. Like all things, equal probability doesn't mean every number will go each time, but there was no number that went considerably out of the norm. Truly a great app, and the nice clean layout is perfect as well.
Does exactly what it says, does it well too. We happen to really like the Apple Watch companion for it too for those quick rolls. It's the only dice rolling app that supports the watch that we have seen. No, nothing can beat rolling physical dice amongst a group of friends playing some D&D or whatever you're in to, but this is really nice if you don't want to go buy dice or are looking for something simple to get started on. Great app. Would love to see what the future adds to its features.
So most apps don't provide an easy to read interface or they add all the dice rolls together and this doesn't try to overdo it, making the clean interface our favorite out of all the dice apps we've tried. Solid performance, quick download, and beautifully simplistic yet fun and colorful design. It's also cute that the dice change different colors when you roll a new dice. Very positive and nice creation overall and great for D&D.
It does what it needs to and doesn't try to wow you with features that would just slow it down or make it buggy.
This app is great. It's got all the dice you would need for any game, including d100, witch we haven't been able to find for sale anywhere. Loads fast to. All around great app.( could you tell we're a nerd?).
Good functionality and interface. We would recommend it.
This works very well. Our only critique is that the D2 should have better pictures on it. It would be nice to have a clear heads and tails or 0 and 1 or even 1 or 2. The coin on there now can hardly be seen. Otherwise the app has a lot of choices and is useful for anyone who needs lots of dice combinations.
Very good for dice-based games, for instance, D&D. But the dice are so rigged and you get low numbers 60% of the time, it's bad for roll checks so just try and stick with normal die for that.
Our friends and we love this app. It works great and beats the hassle of looking for the right die and then struggling to read the tiny numbers with our old eyes. Not to mention you never have to worry about the dice rolling off the table.
Not a perfect UI but certainly useable. Enough options. It's simplicity will keep us using it.
Simple dice roller with all the basic dice and a clean looking interface.
