There are 1000s of unique and professionally written events to encounter and even more tough decisions to make! All decisions have consequence; small decisions early in the game can have profound effects later! Meet other survivors and help or exploit them. Plenty of moral decisions will question how far you would go to survive and affect your final score… can you survive without losing yourself?

Grow your character as you see fit! Train 9 different skills (melee, firearms, explosives, grappling, stealth, lockpicking, engineering, perception, computers) to overcome obstacles during exploration. Specialize or generalize, fight or bypass bosses, and use your skills to achieve the best ending! Be a stealthy computer hacker or a guns blazing pyromaniac – you decide!

You have a limited amount of time to escape your city before the nuclear plant goes into meltdown and destroys what remains of the city (including you)! Each day choose between exploring the city, training your skills, or resting. We love this game it really felt like we went through a journey in this game, thank you devs.
We bought the premium version, and play it on our IPad. Do we need to buy another separate version to play on our droid phone? Or can we sync the phone and IPad together.
We absolutely love this game!!!! The different aspects of the story are amazing!! Without giving any spoilers, we especially loved the engineering ending and the mystery ending you get after following all of the clues!!!! We also liked how each time you come across the corpse of a person who has given up on their own terms, that they are referred to as a programmer for a zombie survival RPG game. Im assuming that was supposed to be a joke and each one of those characters was based on the actual programmers right.
This is one of the hidden gems of the AppStore. Amazing shooting game with strong RPG/game book elements.
One of our most favorite games on our phone! Hopefully others will see this game one day and try it out, they wont regret it.
Shame its hidden behind a pay wall, but its a good game. A bit difficult (especially late game) but manageable. For the non-unlimited runs, Id make it a bit easier to get stuff done so you can actually escape/shut down the nuclear plant. Just a few suggestions Only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the difficulty.
The game is great. We've never heard of a choice making zombie game. Love the original idea and the story is great to. So your all alone and someone stuffed you in a random apartment. You leave the safety of the apartment only to realise a bomb is gonna go off. You have to leave the city with danger on your side. However that is only possible if you choose the longest mode due to how much attempts you have to take. Its also really hard to get all the endings because it dosent show you the possible locations to get an ending. We also would like a "skip tutorial" and a noob mode because it's annoying repeating the tutorial after you start a new game. And noob mode would be a mode were you have a higher chance of succeeding at tasks zombies have less health and weapons are easier to find and do more damage. Also more days. We would also like more stories in the game because playing the same story over and over is getting boring. We love the game though.
For an impulse buy we are not disappointed. Its a great game to go to, to give something g else a break. Is give it five stars except you cant play background music. It was made simple to mute, but we cant play tunein radio or Spotify while playing the game.
Decent game but the issues with the melee not working correctly (police station) is getting us killed too much.
This has always been a wonderful novel / survival rpg. One of our favorite classic app store games. We wish they'd get a lot of money for a sequel. Some bugs: on iPhone x the melee swipes do not work at all. So generally all your combat will be using ammo. That's a big problem. Also, we asked years ago for them to shorten the app name to "Overlive" so it's not truncated on the home screen. Devs said they'd do it but they never did.
This is one of our favorite games on the App Store. Definitely worth the money.
With it's multiple endings and great story we can't get enough of this game.
We're so glad we bought this game, def worth the money, very addicting, we've played this all day and it never gets boring, there's a lot you can do in the game so it keeps it interesting! 5 star rating, thnks for sharing this game to us.
One of the most well thought out survival game we've played in years thanks to the designers :).
The game has incredible role playing features and its combat is well for a role playing game, however we would absolutely love a sandbox version where you have unlimited supplies and named events instead of having them anonymous. We warn you action hooked gamers, this will be a bit boring in terms of combat and other action related components. Overall the game will be great for role players, grinders, you tubers, and people who need a game to play on your commutes.
Very awesome game worth the price, but be sure to decide quickly if you want the full version. Now we have to start over on full version. Good thing we didnt get very far before buying.
We love this game. It's perfect for iOS devices. We don't play many action games on mobile devices as we find it difficult to manage touch controls. (we're old school…grew up with Atari and NES.) The controls in this game are simple…tap or swipe. It's the combination of easy play mechanics, rpg elements, zombies (duh), adventure, strategy, and more that make Overlive a gem. We've played through several times and still haven't experienced all possible endings. Even better is the story. You can really get invested by reading everything throughout the game. If you're a casual gamer, you can skip reading most details and just focus on key story moments indicated when accessed. We highly recommend this game. Put the headphones on and get immersed…you'll love it. ;).

We disagree about the google map icon. We think in a "realistic" zombie apocalypse, a stupid cheery map from before is what you'd end up using. We think it's an accidental amusing feature. Wish you were here.
For the price, this is an immensely enjoyable game. Would still be happy if we'd paid double what they're asking. Support this developer.
Do not sleep on this game if you want an rpg with great depth… Oh and there's ZOMBIES! You know you wanna hunt a few… Or have them hunt you! Lots of hours on terms of gameplay and great replayibility. We have spent wayyyy more for a lot less! A+ development team! Thank you.
This is one of our favorite games in the App Store. We've tried to find one like it, and there just isn't one. We love this game, and we highly recommend it.
We love the game it's better then the lite version.
We never buy games and we never write reviews. However, after playing the Lite version we were all to happy to spend the $2.99. Which isn't asking much. We've played this game through multiple times and it doesn't get boring since it's a little different each time. Wish there was a computer version…. Hint hint. Buy the game you won't be disappointed.
This game keeps you on your toes the whole time. Every choice has a consequence.
We would like if you could customize your character more clothes and pose. Also maybe you could rest any where by eating or siting down but lose supplies (at least 5.). Also maybe find a silencer for your guns. P.S. The 3rd gun is found at military bunker or shooting the looter at the hospital. P.P.S. If you found it take that section off.
We had a lot of fun with this game. It's definitely worth to pay for the full version, you'll get plenty of enjoyable playtime out of it. The storytelling is fantastic and adventurous. Our favorite ending is called "a bright new hope". It makes us wish for the continuation of the Overlive story. We hope for a sequel! We also liked "hero 2.0" – although a bit creepy. "Fortress of solitude" and the basic ending are kinda sad. Today we found the "bright new hope" ending and we think we're not going to search for the remaining four other possibilities – not because it's not fun – but because we really, really love our last ending and it's truly satisfying :).
This game is amazing and we cannot believe that hardly any people know about. Developers plsssss make a 2nd one.
Great Game! Well worth the price! This is one of the few zombie apocalypse games out there that is actually somewhat accurate and enjoyable! We do have some suggestions that could help! – we think the map location markers should be changed from that google map icon to something else, It doesn't really fit the theme of the apocalypse! – Extend the map boundaries! We bet your already working on that though xD – Add a few more graphical designs for perhaps events and stuff! Overall Great Game! Keep up the good work.
Fun game. You never feel like you have enough time, but that is the apocalypse for you. What is a survivor to do? Train, explore, battle and hope you make it out on time. We have found combat to be a bit difficult (swiping, not difficulty level). Otherwise, it is fun to explore and make the tough decisions. Recommend.
Overlive has is one of the best games we have ever played. The gameplay is fun and challenging. The story is great and the music and art tie it all together. We cannot overstate just how great this game is. You need this.
We like it, we normally don't play games that much and few managed to engage us like this has. If you think its just another zombie game, it couldn't be farther from the truth. It has story, events, rpg like mechanics, and etc, eveything you want in a zombie game. So buy this now.

This would be a 4 star game if the train engineering was working. There is an event which unlocks it via a repair kit discovery, but it never shows up as an option. A number of events require this skill and you will constantly fail them without adequate training which is really frustrating. Good storyline, fun gameplay, a little repetitive, but keeps you interested.
The engineering skill is untrainable. We found a repair kit that should open up a training option, but doesn't. This means engineering challenges are unbeatable. It's a neat game otherwise. All the interconnected events are nice, but there's not much plot.
It's not worth it. Possibly a $1. Gameplay and graphics are horrible. The story line is ok , if you like to read a lot. We would not recommend this to anyone. Wish we could get our money back.
Our only problem with this game is that there isn't enough updates to improve the gameplay. No updates for weapons, skills, game endings, etc. We wish they'd invest some more in the game, after all we did pay for it.
Pretty boring, feels random and disjointed, not worth the money imo.
This really was a neat game, but the engineering training path–required to unlock at least one ending–is unaccessible due to bugs. Since the game was released in 2013, and still has this issue in 2015, well, a patch does not look promising.
If you like text based adventure games and occasional battles with zombies, this is your game!! The story was good and the choices were realistic. Train, rest, explore.
We cannot stand the mindless "shoot the zombies!" games. Overlive is a masterpiece combining well written fiction, a little bit of the shoot/slash/OMG they're coming killlll them!!! Action and strategy. We love that there are multiple endings. We love that you can replay as many times as you wish and, because your chosen actions affect outcomes, each time is a different experience with new challenges. We especially love that there are no further payments to make in order for the game to be playable. The developers have charged a fair price for a great game. Thanks for creating such a great game.
This is a really unique game with action, a good story line and decision making which has consequences. We have never played another game like this and we will be looking forward to the next installment.

Loving this game…..easy enough for beginning players, but tough enough for expert players. Try it more than once, there are many possible endings.
We love the sell line. "It only costs about as much as a cup of coffee." That's pretty much what pushed us over on buying this. We are enjoying the game a great deal, the story is amazing. We are looking forward to future updates.
