Dive into Endless Nights RPG

Endless Nights is a roguelike rpg that lets you play your way, with a skills-based system that recognizes the actions of your character in the game and develops those skills. This means you can choose to use a sword, or a mace, use magic or pray to the gods, and you never need worry about picking a class and no visiting trainers to ‘learn’ new skills.

You just play the game and the skills you use will increase as you play, and when you’ve learned enough of a skill, new skill trees and abilities will become available.

Endless Nights is a role-playing game in the rogue-like tradition, which means randomized adventure areas, random dungeons and a different adventure each time you play the game. The TitanFire RPG system used in the game provides for strategic combat by putting an emphasis on defense and on developing strategies to break through the defenses of your opponent during combat.

A tweak to the rogue-like style is the Profile system, which allows for a certain amount of permanence with the inclusion of profiles that allow you to carry over some gold or gems to a new character.

Endless Nights Features:

  • A rogue-like RPG with random quests, random dungeons and a new adventure each time you play.
  • Over 100 different abilities to learn in the skills-based system.
  • Strategic turn-based combat.
  • Profiles let you choose a different way to play the game.
  • Themed monster areas will have you clearing woods of spiders and taking out a group of kobolds.
  • A crafting system that includes magical manastones that can be found or rewarded by quests.

Endless Nights is similar to RPG classics like Rogue, Moria, Omega, Angband and Diablo with a level of challenge similar to Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls.

A sequel to Endless Depths, the game takes the fun out of the dungeon and into overland areas, providing random quests to go along with the goodness.

Note: The public domain tilesets used in Endless Nights come from the RLTiles collection. Some of the sounds used come from www.freesfx.co.uk, including sounds by qudobup, and the font used for the Endless Nights logo was created by fontmesa at fontspace.com.

Find out what gamers are saying about Endless Nights RPG:

Great and addictive game. Please fix the inventory bug that also exists in Endless Depths 2. The first item on the third screen doesnt display in the inventory. You have to shift the items before you can see that item.

Sorry but we are grateful for a d pad but this one is lazy and is our least favorite virtual pad out there. Just feels cheap. Love the game though.

This game is too difficult. The UI is also a bit clunky, but better than in Endless Adventures.

Idk if you eve get around to reading these reviews anymore, but we’ve bought several of your games and out of all of hem this is hands down the best one youve ever made and released on ios. Sure this game has issues. Quest progression problems along with a severe issue in difficulty scaling, but still it was great. For people who were fans of classic rogue likes this was a shining beacon of gamer hope. We felt like your dungeons games were trying to improve on this, we just don’t think they were able to though. This game has great character progression, we love the leveling and abilities. We love being able to get minor quests, and we love that you put hidden secret powers available for unlock like forked lightning. If there is anyway you can ever recreate something like this. Like an endless nights 2 please do bc it was epic.

Lots of Fun. We can’t stop playing. All three of these games are fantastic!

Great game. Can’t seem to get enough. In later updates maybe you could add more races to the race mode. Maybe orcs or zombies, something of that nature. We also think there should at least be an option to save. Maybe a save point in one of the towns. It’s just upsetting when we have to restart after all the work we put in with our dwarf necromancer. Other than that there are no flaws in our opinion and we just can’t get enough!

Words cannot describe how much we love this game. It’s the only mobile game we’ve played over and over. There is huge replay ability due to how many classes there are. The concept is simple, yet there is subtle strategy. We’re personally a big fan of the simplistic graphics. We may never stop playing this game.

The Dev has has made a superior sequel! The original "Endless Depths" is fun and worth playing… And this new one is even better. Note: May have a big or two… The "quests" are random. We’ve had the one with the torn paper six times so far… And never could find the 3rd piece in any of them despite searching everywhere each time. Maybe it doesn’t exist and quest is impossible… But we don’t think so. And we best the game once. We got the the final boss and actually beat him!! (Thanks to have several invulnerability potions) and once we beat him- it crashed :(. We were hoping for a little cut scene or something… And maybe there is… We’ve only managed to get to and beat the final boss once and it froze… So until we can pull it off again we’re just assuming something happens. Despite the above minor gripes, we give this 5 stars. We’ve definitely had 5 stars of fun already and we’re not bored of it yet :)

Best roguelike game, best rpg in general. We have made COUNTLESS characters on this game but we see now that its not compatible with iOS 11 PLEASE FIX THIS.

Spent hours developing a character then game crashed and we can’t leave a dungeon or we’re stuck at a loading screen. Unplayable at this point.

First off: Make sure you sign into Game Center before winning the game. There appears to be a fatal crash if you win and aren’t signed in. Your character just freezes in a dark limbo and the game won’t respond. Otherwise, a pretty cool game. The mechanics take a while to figure out, but that’s just exploration. There are some balance issues with skills and spells (thunderclap needs to be toned down in our opinion). The monster AI is pretty weak. They don’t attempt to flank and always attempt to take the shortest direction (not shortest path) to the PC. That means you can run from them and hang them up on an obstacle while you regain your health/stamina. Nice for you but it just seems kinda silly. We think this is the beginning of what could be a great franchise, though it definitely needs some polish.

We like the additions that depths didnt have like the skills used decides your class instead of picking certain skill upgrades certain levels gained. Also the other playstyle options instead if just a rogue based game. We would of given it 5 stars except we’ve had buggy quests that are unfinishable and a couple times now we have had saved characters deleted because of a certain error found with the game save.

Would be 5stars but we’re in a dungeon on our best run yet and it won’t let us go to the next floor or leave the area :/

Will try again sometime – RPG graphics are gorgeously retro and best in category – but we lost a lot of progress on 4S. We hope you can revive this game, we love it.

Best we’ve played in iOS, even with a few minor bugs in the first version. We’re hooked on Hardcore mode, true Rogue style, but the other modes are a cool idea, and more forgiving than losing your character to one lucky crit. ;) Can’t wait to see more updates to this, maybe adding a notification when you achieve a class (apart from the first time you hit the achievement classes). Maybe add achievements for all possible classes, so we have something to try for.

Great game for the cost. Good balance of challenge and replayability.

Really enjoy this game and it has endless replay potential as you explore all of the possible skill trees and items. Also impressed with the speed of response from the developer. Great job all-round.

We really am enjoying exploring the character development. We wish you’d show which skills lead to what though.

Our children are starving and our wife left us 10/10.

Id like to see more options added at some point on this game… Like season changes with negative and positive effects…. No big deal… Lol.

We love this game! We like the idea of your class being derived from whatever skills you end up using the most. A tip for everyone though, make sure you use all the abilities you wanna keep at least once before you level that skill set or you’ll lose it. It keeps the UI clean but can be annoying if you don’t know how to manipulate it. Neither of the bugs are game breaking, but if you’re able to sort them out then I’d definitely appreciate it (and we’ll change our score to 5 stars!) – The magic resistance skill tree: when you unlock it you get the magic resistance ability, but it disappears after the first use -Two part quests: When you go to turn in the first part, the second part often doesn’t show up. Could this be because the second part is generating and we’re hitting the button too many times instead of a bug? Would be nice if the button to confirm the second part of the quest wasn’t in the same place if this is the case. Thank you for making this game and hopefully you can resolve those two issues!

Super fun rogue style game. Our favorite in the App Store. Hours of fun and well worth the price.

Well worth the dollar! Please make a "softcore" mode where you can save the game. Also, it is not clear how the skill leveling works. What is the benefit of leveling up a spell, for example, if the spell’s stats don’t appear to change?

This is a fun and solid dungeon crawl with good replay value. The UI could use some tweaks and improvements, but still a fun game.

This game is a must play for any RPG enthusiast.

With the last update this has turned into a solid game. Good job! Our only complaints – There should be bows & arrows for the elf – movement still isn’t as smooth as it should be. Sometimes it lags. – Would be great if you could play your own music – needs hotkey slots for potions – noticed a glitch on a mission to kill gargoyles, after completing the quest you get no reward because the character continues to ask if its been completed and your only option answer is no. -Should be able to toggle the text on the left side of the screen on or off. Interferes with gameplay, especially when your character is moving southwards. Overall the game has come a long way since it was first released. Well worth the time and money.

Fun, simple oldschool rpg. Difficulty is extremely high however, maybe an easy profile should exist, so players can experiment and learn builds and strategies? And now we actually get decent items with the update, making advancing possible! We made it to morra town until a scroll summoned a cyclops against us in battle. Maybe a shop to identify items would be nice? And finally- is holy strike supposed to be a prayer? It isnt yellow, but as a paladin we cannot use it because of the fizzle. Besides those, its a great game and we cant wait to see more!

The main thing needed is an expanded guide to the mechanics of the game. We still can’t figure out what to do with unidentified items, and we don’t fully understand what the character parameters affect. Also, the races should be integrated across all profiles instead of being a single profile itself.

We just played through one life. The game is fairly solid, and we enjoyed playing. Our one gripe is the ui. It feels so messy, we found myself searching for the amount of gold we had. We also had trouble pressing the equip buttons. Overall, this game is worth 99c because of how easy it is to pick up or go for a high score. Can’t wait to see some updates :D.

Title says it all. Don’t mind simple graphics but the UI is clumsy and we have issues with items disappearing randomly. The rules of combat etc are not explained anywhere and are inscrutable. We cannot see any strategy. For example sometimes defenses (parry, dodge, etc) but there is no explanation of what that means. It all seems random to us. If there is strategy to be had there needs to be some documentation. We love TBS games. We have been having great fun with the kingturn games, but this game isn’t even worth the $1.
