Community Insight:
The doubling pop up, when the opponent clicks it, unnecessary obscures the middle of the screen. We cannot assess the risk, or the balances of pips needed. You could find a way to view behind the pop up. PS. It is not optimal, it is a huge negative on our game experiences.
Occasionally likes to lock our iPad, force restart required while making us forfeit our bet! On our turn the dice never showed, then it timend out and took our credits. There are better Games out there.
There are so many annoying issues with this app that we cant list them all! The worst is it cheats, for some reason (why would they do that ?)! You can see it when trying to come in off the bar. It will shut you out so many rolls in a row that if you do the math you see the odds of that are millions-to-one. And it does that so often its clearly a big or on purpose, and it ruins the game. Its no fun if you cant bear in, roll after roll, knowing this literally never happens with real-life dice. Booooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
This app had become very glitchy and had cost us lots of chips lost when: 1. It wont let us move our game piece to a particular space, which would let us hit our opponent or avoid being hit. 2. Today, we signed in and the 2M chips we bought last evening were gone with only 7K left 3. Opponents get 3 doubles in the final moves and we get none during the entire gameis this random or an algorithm to keep users purchasing more chips. Im about to delete this app. Too annoying and a waste of money when these glitches happen repeatedly.
We have been playing this game for years. It has been our favorite of the online backgammon. For the past year we have been having issues with the game disconnecting from the server. When this happens we automatically loose the game. And depending on the game we can loose up to triple of the bet. We contact support and the reimburse our chips and then it happens again. We express our concern about this continuing to happen and ask if the problem is going to be resolved. We never receive and answer and obviously the problem continues.
It's called "Backgammon for iphone and ipad." Graphics aren't the best, but the rolls are fair.
But fun to play people around the world.
Our game wont load. It didnt work for about month, then started working for about a week & now it wont load again.
But we have to say, this version of backgammon is getting more and more frustrating to play. We find it strange that we can predict what the other player is going to roll in order to beat us, and then they roll it. Strange.
One of our favorites but will no longer load. Again. Bug. Again. It wont open on our iPhone.
Whenever we near a new level, we suddenly have a losing streak. Today, the player Michele, suddenly had two men on the board. We did not hit her and did not have a roll to hit her. Of course she then has the perfect rolls for the come from behind win. Hate playing game hacks. Too too many of them.
We really enjoy playing backgammon on this application when it works. It has been down for over a month now – we have reached out to the company with no response – we have had this game for years and it is the best when working – FIX IT!!! We miss playing.
Id love it more if no bugs and Id love it more if the BIG chips opponents would stay away from us little guys need you to bring RANDY back to us Im back to playing our favorite game. We love this game but that shaker and your clock really needs a working on ! Please.
We enjoy playing other people in the challenge. We wish they would show the accumulation of points again maybe its there, but we dont know where to look for it.
We can not get this app to load for a week now. There is no update on the app and Im not having trouble or with any other app just this one.
Youre playing against a computer and it always wins. So many horrible rolls and your opponent gets high doubles multiple times.

Happy to have had a good game of backgammon on Playgem. We used to play often, but have been absent. We would be happy to have a game with any of our Facebook friends out here. If your new to the game and just want to play against a computer to learn the game before live opponents we would recommend.. XG gammon. It has a free and also enhanced download. XG gammon is a wonderful tutorial program. Have fun.

Keeps disconnecting from the server, usually when youre winning. Rolls are hinkythe algorithms are weird to say the least. And you can NOT play someone who doesnt have enough money to double. Not good.
Cheaters everywhere. You gave them the keys.

We dont like the dice shaker. Sometimes it doesnt stop and we have to end the game. Sometimes it shakes the dice for a long time. Annoying feature.
This game has a few problems. One is that it is extremely glitchy. One rolls the dice and it reverts back to the beginning of the roll. The other problem is that it appears to be programmed to react to each roll so it feels like you are on the winning or losing side from the second roll of the dice.

The bonuses are good BUT you need to keep people from cheating! When the opponent sees they are losing they just let the clock run not making any moves until it ends the game. This happened 3 times today, frustrating and a waste of time . A lot of TRUMPER LOSERS on this app.
This would be a great game if support bothered to read any of it tickets. Crashes do not get resolved, and points get taken for no reason – and never returned, because there clearly is no support.
The timer is way off. It tells you youre running out of time when you have made your move and clicked on done. It will end the game telling us we lost/won because we or our opponent ran out of time. We could/would play this for hours if it wasnt so pokey.
Be careful its programmed to fail! Also it has a malfunction to run out of time and loose.
Bought chips…and then constantly booted out of games and returned to the lobby thus forfeiting our entry fee. Emails to customer support go unanswered better off lighting our money on fire at least that way would get some heat.
A total and complete manipulating algorithm to trick you into addiction and buying chips. Just play the free chips and alls good.
On many occasions, during the course of the game, the program will time you out even though youve already completed your move. This results in a loss of your bet. Often times this occurs when we are well ahead of our opponent. This is extremely frustrating. We have contacted The site to explain the problem. Unfortunately, they do not seem to be interested in fixing it.
Playing this game means that you will lose games for the following reasons: 1) the timer frequently does not work; 2) your opponents, especially ones that have 20-50 times more than your points, will frequently roll 10, 11, or 12 doubles while you roll 1; 3) your opponents timer will run out, but you will lose; 4) your opponent will leave the game, but you will lose; 5) you will not be able to move a man onto an open space; 6) your opponent will roll 6 or 7 doubles in a row while you roll 1s and 2s; 7) games will frequently disconnect from the server, but you will always lose never your opponent. Also, the higher the point range, the more erratic the dice will be. The greater the point difference between you and your opponent, the less likely you are to win. Overall, perhaps the least realistic dice anywhere. Certainly, never make an in-app purchaseits like tossing money out the window.
