Honestly, Im so surprised that this game is still up after all these years. We still kept this notebook, which Ive had for nearly decade now, and it has our ID and password that Ive written down for this games data transfer. It still works! According to the log, the last time Ive done anything was on the 16th of April 2016. Downloading and playing this game, and listening to the main upbeat, cheerful Animal Boyfriend theme song puts a smile to our face, and we feel like Im younger again. The game is pretty simple and its something Id check in on, from time to time, and get into the gacha events. The fact that Ambition is still updating this game with newer events, since 2014, has us amazed. Im gonna keep playing this game to show our appreciation.
Holy crap! We started playing again and theyve added the additional animals and new closet format! As far as we know the only things this is behind the JP game with is 2 fewer max students (im fine with that, we havent maxed out yet lol) and swappable animal features. Basically being able to change the style of animal ears and tail between a few options (eg perky ear bunny vs floppy ear). Would love to see that added if possible. Thanks for your hard work maintaining this app.
This app is pretty good. The pay to play element is certainly present but thats pretty normal for these types of games and not completely nessicary. The translation is decent! Some text come off as sounding a little cryptic but very, very rarely is any of the English actually broken. Its all pretty okay.

Really fun game u get to dress up your boyfriend and have him study work u make choices to keep them happy and put them to bed like with a pet overall fun game with lots of events.
This game is very cute. There are lots of different outfits and ways to interact with your animal boyfriend! Ongoing events and gachas are a very nice touch too. It's obvious though that this game isn't updated as much as it could be, it's a parallel to MOE Can Change but with it being less popular it has way less updates features. We hope soon they will add more features and polish the ones they already have, this game is very fun.
There was a-lot of hype surrounding this game when we were in school. And the same company having many more projects gained more popularity and therefore took priority over this game. From gachas to events and even shopping. The game eventually became stagnat with fewer updates, and so many U.S players downloaded the Japanese APK of the game which had a extensive variety of items to buy and many features not yet seen on the U.S app. Many fans, including ourselves, sent emails requesting more engagement and equal interface features to enhance gaming experience to which developers responded poorly. Stating that they did not have the means or staff to do so. Since them the community behind the game has been reduced greatly. The base game shop hasnt been updated in years, but you can still purchase in game currency for a premium shop which also has not been updated in years. Its a cool game for nostalgia, but nothing more than that.
Love the game been playing it for about 6 years but this game needs an update. The gatchas are repeats and the exchange tickets prizes theme never changes from Japanese!! Again we love this game but its gotten harder and harder for us to play and enjoy this game.
We download it, play a few months and delete it. Yet we still redownload it every few years. Its simple, yet fun. Its also semi-easy to get currency for free via tapjoy. Im sad to see they locked certain things behind paywalls (ex: certain settings) that used to be free though.
Ive been on AB since it came out in English and we have to say it's definitely our favorite out of all the Ambition games. Even if it's art style looks outdated compared to Dream Boyfriend. There's something so much more attractive about this one than DB. Saying thatI really wish the company would put some effort into this game like they do the others. The last time y'all updated this game was literally a year ago and have been radio silent on improving the game since then. Can we have game notifications to let us know our boys are done working? That they've been given advice? That their stamina is full? That they've been recommended something? This game has been alive for 6+(?) years and we've never once gotten a notification from it but DG and DB have had it since launch. And That's honestly our only complaint. It's not as if you guys don't give us new hairstyles or outfits (although re-hauls of year one content is becoming eerily common) and there's a new Event consistently being added to the game every month. You guys are doing excellentbut please just give us an actual update. PleasePLEASE update this game.
…It reuses a lot of items from the previous years or so. Also, the themes for the gatcha and events are similar to other themes done before. Ive been playing Animal Boyfriend for 5+ years now, and trust us, it gets pretty boring when the themes for gatcha and events are repeats or similar. We think you, editors / developers, should try to come up with new ideas and design. Thanks.
We have played this game long enough to acquire 3 animal boyfriends. First, we really dig the art and appreciate the work that it entails. Second, we love that relationship details are kept minimal. We think that encourages ones own storytelling imagination, we. E. A devart diary. However, we would like to see the user manual, so to speak, expanded. Why do some of the sleeping boyfriends cry? How come some boyfriends seem like decoys with just default and 0 trait settings and artwork unlisted on style check? We hate to stumped on these things so clarifications would be appreciated! Otherwise, we love this gorgeous unfolding puzzle! Thank you.
Its very fun and entertaining, and can be seen as sort of a prequel to their other games. We like the concept and the affection system, but the UI is a bit confusing which is expected for such an old game.
The purpose of this game is to raise your own boyfriend by talking to him, getting him to study, making him work, and overall, we love the concept. However, the game makes it feel more like raising a pet or a child rather than a boyfriend there are little to no romantic moments or chats. We have not been playing for a long time so we are not sure if later on there will be more romantic conversations or interactions and if there is not we would be very disappointed.
We know you have other running apps and probably some in the making as well, so we know the last thing you probably want to hear, is some person gripe and complain to you but come on! We'll start our review by saying that we absolutely adore this game! The art style is phenomenal, the idea is great but there are some things that need improvement. As someone mentioned in a review, we kinda just feel like we're just watching our student. 1. Some change to the dialogue would be nice. It gets a bit boring having the same conversations every time we talk to our student. Why not add more to it, like MCC? 2. Gaining a new trait and gaining new levels takes a very long time which makes it kind of hard to stay motivated to do some. 3. The Exchange Gacha never changes! 4. Please organize your hairs. Like MCC, it'd be nice if you could put the hair styles in order of the required levels. 5. An interesting storyline would be awesome! Again, we know this is a lot but story is something that's important to us. It helps get us engaged and makes us feel like we have something to work towards. DB did an excellent job of this. We know there's a story already but it's a bit brief. If you could show a short visual of us picking out a rabbit, dog, etc. Again, we love the game but it needs a bit more added to it. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of dress up games or anime.
Ive been playing for quite some time now but the thing is that on the recycle robot, please change the gacha.. Its been the same items for a VERY long time! What do even do with the exchange tickets (which u have ALOT left over) when u have everything on the gacha??? Also please try harder to make better events an gachas.. It seems that they are ALL girly and why would u want girly items on GUYS this aint animal girlfriend!!! THE PREMIUM PACKS! U KEEP REPEATING THEM MONTH BY MONTH! DO NORMAL CLOTHES FOR ONCE IM BEGGING U PLEASE.
We really like this game but it could definitely be better. For starters, being able to send actual friend requests would make it easier to keep in touch with people you meet through the game. Secondly, being able to pick a darker skin tone would, in our opinion, make the customization better. Also since the characters are shown at a slight angle at the head some of the clothes look kind of awkward. Also itd be nice if we could send clothes as well as items as gifts.
Played this game about 10 years ago and loved it. Dedicated our time with making outfits and attending events, got so many free stuff and a high level. One thing we wish for is that data transfer was done differently, preferably a phone number or email. We lost our account forever, oh well lol.
We bought a bunch of premium stuff and now its no longer showing up. Like we cant access stuff we already bought.
Ive been playing this game for years but we accidentally deleted it through settings and we cant get our animals back. :c.
We have an ipad mini and when we try to load the app it crashes, also when accessing the event the whole page wont load so we cant see the achievement awards, event shop and etc. Please fix this when you can, thank you!! Overall we love the game and avatars.

If your into B movies or trash memes this game is a god send. We literally just looked up the word "husband" in the search bar because we were lonely and bored. This is the best.
The game offers tons of opportunity to earn rare items for those who invest their time daily to play the game. It's a great check-in game and we are in love with the art-style! There is always a special themed event (sometimes it's more seasonal, while other times it's themed after something else entirely such as the classic fairytale, Pinocchio'a Adventure) with exclusive items, dialogue, scenarios, settings, characters, and artwork going on which changes every few weeks. For us, this app is truly the definition of wonderful consistent surprise, tasteful variety, and an overall overarching appealing style. By playing through the event, you begin to accumulate points called EP throughout the event which unlocks prizes from a prize ladder steadily increasing in rarity. You also receive coins to spend in the event shop which you can use to freely purchase an additional selection of unique event outfits and accessories. A large part of what has made us fall in love with this game is the fair and generous fact that every member can earn all of the event prizes even without spending a single penny by playing through the event daily. It's because of the developer's generosity that we always have a fun activity to look forward to with our animal boyfriend daily. We're usually able to unlock a new special event or exclusive fashion item daily though we haven't spent any real money on this app from the beginning of time (we encourage users to spare some cash however as these developers deserve to be supported financially for the high-quality work that they've done on the game and the solidly fun experience they've striven to deliver to all players equally!)! If that weren't enough, a daily login bonus and a Daily Challenge (which is usually easy and straight-forward to complete) will net you additional freebies such as Event Boys (refills your energy immediately so you can take extra turns participating in the event with your boyfriend) exchange tickets (trade them in to the recycle robot for exclusive items). Completing 7 daily challenges is one way to earn a gotcha coupon. If you enjoy this visual style of art (attractive young anime men + male fashion and all kinds of unique visual effects), and you are patient, you'll find this game to be highly rewarding whether or not any money is spent which will net you extra in-game items and a few side customization options that aren't necessary to keep progressing through the game. Of course, there's more to do within the game then collecting extravagant items and showing off your boyfriend modeling all of the wonderfully creative and appealing clothes, props, backgrounds, and visual effects your fashion sense. It's also a casual dating/social simulator as well where you develop your students' personality which will affect their dialogue within the game (e.g. Would you rather have a flirty mischievous type boyfriend or a composed intellectual type?). For those still unsure of this app, we'd recommend you read this app's store description, check out the screenshots and the other reviews, then try out the game for yourself if you're so inclined. You have very little to lose. If you decide to switch iOS devices in the future you can transfer your progress at any time with the transfer ID. The game is a browser style game though it has some animations, therefore, you will need to connect to the internet with wifi or 3G in order to play. Tip for confused new players: read the entire FAQ help section within the app and then play through the "Beginner's Quest" which guides you through a series of tasks to help you navigate through the game and learn the mechanics. It may seem confusing at first, but the gameplay is quite simple to learn! :D It's a lot of fun.
It's like you have a boyfriend that does everything you say that's how we want a boyfriend The graphics are ok.
The game can be played without buying G (currency). They do give you a 'earn free G' option, but use common sense on which offers to complete. Also, keep track of your earnings and take screenshots of your completed tasks; it helps you when you submit a missing G request. Some advice: don't spend your G on the Gacha. Gacha's are random and the first play is free on most of the Gachas. You can win free Gacha tickets from events, daily challenges, and as log-in bonuses. G is good for buying 'Event Boy' items, for advancing in special events, which give you set prizes. The only complaint we have is that you should be able to buy G using K (another type of Currency), which is earned by making your character go to work.
Would we recommend this game? Probably to those with patience and/or those who don't mind spending money for this game. We like the game but we wouldn't really pay for the stuff. Especially when they don't offer deals if you buy $60 worth of coins like how some games offer more of whatever they're selling if you buy with the more expensive options.

We've played this game for a while and we love it!! We're like 3 away from level 50! In the New Years gacha, there was a thing you could get if you got a rare draw. A child. Not like an actual child more like we guess it'd be a cardboard cut out of a child? Could you make a gacha of only those? Seeing the animal boyfriend character with a child next to him would give him an older-brotherly kinda vibe, and a cute kid makes anyone more attractive. Pleeeease?? We think it would be a good idea! Maybe call it a 'little buddy' gacha? They were just so cute and there's no way we could get one with them being in the rare section of the limited New Years gacha.
We've been playing for quite a few years now and it's still a pretty great game. Though we think that the makers really need to add a problem report option. The current event has a slight issue with either wording or execution and we would like to inform the makers of it, but the only way (that we know of). Is through this. Also could really use a currency converter to encourage people to play more and earn more K. We'd say about 5G per 10,000K. Anyway, it's a fun game for the patient (and high level). We would recommend to those who like a game you don't have to be on all the time.

We're not a fan of Fairy Doll, Moe Can Change is our ADDICTION, and this game is fun! The art style is nice, although, we would like a friend feature.

We think the game is well made. The artwork is good and we think it is worth giving a try if you like anime guys. We do think this game could do some other things to make it better… We really think they should allow us to add friends because that would make it more easier to find the people we met one the game. We also think we should be able to write personal comments to one another like the other games. The game is good for pass time, but it definitely could be better. We play other games Ambition Inc. Made and we think this game is decent, but it isn't as nice as some of others. For example, Dream Girlfriend has voice actors and they have a friend list. Moe Can Change and Dream Boyfriend: Astral Days even have a friend list. We still love the game because of our "students." Hopefully they improve the game.
We'd be willing to pay in we could to get extra cool stuff but we think it needs updates to because the skin tones not to our liking:(.
When we first downloaded this app, we almost uninstalled it within a day because the user interface is not newbie friendly. There isn't much of a tutorial besides a series of beginner missions, so it's up to the player to figure out how to play. However, we're glad we stuck with it, since the game is interesting! Customization options are mildly limited if you don't want to spend real money, at least in the beginning, but there are still some nice hairstyles you can get. The best way to get cool clothes or items is to play the gachas, since the first play is free. Overall, it's a fun game with a steep learning curve.
We've been playing for a few years now. The app is easy to keep up with, isn't time consuming at all and has plenty of outfits for free players as long as you have self control and can save up things like gacha tickets and event boys so you can actually get what you want. We only check it about 1-2 times a day lately and we don't miss anything. Very fair app to both free players and your sanity, unlike their other boyfriend app.
We anime. This. Looks like anime. We love it the only cons are is that it is hard to navigate and overly crowded/ hard to understand.
It's something fun and entertaining to even non-otome game fans like us. This is the first one we've played though. We're usually playing this between breaks at work now, since it gives us daily tasks that are usually a little challenging and the student customization is fun, especially through event items. G is somewhat difficult to earn unless you don't mind paying via Tapjoy offers or purchasing it. Other reviews made it seem quick and easy to obtain. One VERY important suggestion for improvement is to an to the reporting options for the reason. Please, please allow reporting student names and user names. There have been at least a handful of users we've seen with hate speech in their usernames and student(s) names. We can't rightful report the default "Thank you." comment as indecent or inappropriate, but what else should you do when there is literally hate speech in the game thanks to users.
We love this game, but we feel like more can be done with it. We kind of wish there was a friend system along with the ability to help others, that way it makes helping people a little easier. The other games by this company have that feature and it makes them a little more user friendly.
We love this game, we invest a lot of time into getting all the cool items and such. We do have a few problems, it's about a friends list. We were just curious on why because we have friends who play this app too but every once in a while we have to find each other again. Having a friends list would be nice. Also when are you updating the personalities? There are quite a few more left that the app doesn't have and we've been waiting for an update to come around. Hopefully soon? Also about G, it takes quite a lot of time to get G and an idea just throwing this out. Maybe make a little G event or something to earn it.. Otherwise we very much love this app :) great job.
This app is a lot of fun. We kinda wish some of the instructions were a little clearer, we also wish there was an option to friend others. But over all, great app, fun way to pass the time.
We love the game and everything, but there is problem. Apparently when we got the notification for getting double free G, we clicked on the banner but it does nothing and also when we go to the page where to buy Gold and get some for free, it wasnt there anymore. Can you be able to fix this.
We can't even figure out how to register?! The art style is still promising and we want to figure out how to use this app but wow is it confusing! It's also kind of hard for us bc half of the buttons don't work when we press them.

There are a lot of things we love about this app, such as the fact you can choose your gender, choose your boyfriend type, dress your boyfriend up, etc. This game needs a lot of work, however. The mechanics are clunky, the design is a bit confusing at times, and it feels like you basically HAVE to do microtransactions to get anywhere. You have to be certain levels to wear certain hairstyles, but it takes so long to level up. We think once this game does a massive overhaul of its graphic design and general user interface, it will be a lot easier and more fun to play. Until then, you're better off checking out Dream Boyfriend for all your 2D BF needs.
See, this isn't a bad game. We've been playing it a few days and it's a little hard to navigate and needs some work but it functions well and is similar to some online games we've played. We've enjoyed it so far but it is a little difficult to know what is going on sometimes.
We liked this at first but its getting kinda boring… First of all, cant you make them say more than the same things repeatedly? Maybe add a few more types like yandere, kuudere and dandere… Keep the gachas or at least move the stuff to the style/jin shop. Give players who dont have the premium pack the option to block recommendations/advice.. Some of the recommendations people give are absolutely ridiculous… And not everyone can afford to buy the gold to buy the premium packs… And its really a waste of time trying to get the free gold because a lot of the time you dont even get any… Maybe let players have more than 4 students. Itd also be nice if it didnt take forever to get the new students… Voice talk might also be cool… These are just some suggestions.. Im sure some people agree with us.
We haven't had the game for long yet but as a beginner it seems complicated to us and needs to be made more simple. It seems to have a good concept but it's just executed wrong.
