How to Play:
Classic Off Limits:
- Split into Two Teams. It's time for a face-off!
- Choose Your Champion. One player from the active team becomes the "Describer" for the round.
- Describe, Don't Detonate! The Describer gives clever clues to get their team to guess the word on the card. The catch? You absolutely cannot use any of the forbidden "off-limits" words listed below it.
- Keep 'Em Honest! A player from the opposing team watches like a hawk. If the Describer slips up, the other team buzzes and gets the point!
- Race the Clock. Describe and guess as many words as you can before the timer runs out. The team with the most points wins eternal glory (or at least until the next game night).
Quick Guess:
- One team's Describer gets 7 words and 7 seconds to describe each one.
- Tap the checkmark for correct guesses or the 'X' to skip.
- Score as many as you can before the clock runs out!
Head Guess:
- A "Guesser" holds the phone to their forehead.
- Their team shouts clues to help them guess the word on the screen.
- Tilt down for a correct answer, and tilt up to pass!

Ive been playing this game with our family for years, its a lot of fun. It used to be free which was great then they had a low one time fee. Now they want to charge 4.99 a week? Thats ridiculous.
This game is an absolute blast! Perfect for game nights with friends and family. The word challenges keep everyone engaged and laughing. Highly recommend.
We paid for the ad removal a while ago and have enjoyed playing this with our wife for many years. We opened the app today only to find out its now $4.99/week and apparently our previous payment meant nothing. Hope this can be resolved! Update: the developer contacted us and helped find a temporary solution. Still dont like the subscription model (especially $4.99/week, thats steep) for this type of app but can understand thats where most services are going now days. Our wife and we play quite often and have enjoyed the app for years.
You basically have to pay for an AD free game cuz its going to keep popping up if you dont . We deleted the app. Would've been a good game otherwise trash.
Prefer the app Forbidden as a Taboo replacement. You get what you pay for.
Its really nice that there are over 1700 words, but theres nothing to prevent cards from repeating quickly in a game. The game seems to just pick words completely at random without excluding previously selected ones. This pretty much ruins the game – we had to institute a rule to immediately skip any repeats.
This game has good words but doesnt give enough time to answer more than a couple words.
We wish you could play by yourself but Its still fun and we love it.

Should be at least a minute like Taboo.
Wish this game had a lot more different options per category. When you play the same categories the same cards come up so the game seems boring. Mix it up a little and it would be better. But we love the concept and the idea of the game.
We pull this game out a lot, we dont do teams and score its just fun to pass around and take turns guessing. We even paid the $1.99 or whatever to get the ad free version. Ive had a lot of people ask us what it is so they can download themselves. Our ONLY complaint its the list of words doesnt update (or updates rarely?) so if you play it too much you get super familiar with them and it loses some of the challenge. There are a ton of different apps that are a version of Taboo/Tabu, but our roommate says she cant find one she likes as much as this one.
There is no logic to this and it is a complete waste of time.
The free version is OK. It's pretty cumbersome starting each round. We never figured out when the game ends, so we just quit when we got tired of playing. Kept us entertained for a while.
User friendly design, but started getting repeated terms during the first game we played.
Do not pay for this app for two simple reasons: (1) limited number of categories: you have a selection of 6, and they do not change. (2) there is a VERY limited amount of playing words: words were repeated frequently.
Our kids love this game. The layout is very simple which we love. We love the large print as well. For some reason it always says red team unless we hit end and choose the category again. Would like to have the option to choose own team name. This is a good one.
Good but you should be able to add or subtract from the score or replay.
Worked well for a fun game with friends but two times saw a card twice in a 25 minute game. That shouldn't happen! Also some cards have issues (like 'university' listed as off limits twice on the 'campus' card).

We played this at thanksgiving for a family game and it was so much fun!! We love that they have things that a 13 yr olds actually know and is so modern!! Love it if they had even more words!! But amazing version of taboo.
