We really enjoyed the game. Many different games and good story line! The bonus game seemed to be an after thought. Short time to complete it and not very inspiring.
Like that you can customize difficulty level.
As is so often the case, some of the puzzles are too fussy as to where you touch or place things. (There's a gear HOP that took us 7 minutes to place a tool juuuuuuuust so.) Of course you are using your fingers instead of the precision of a cursor on a PC, and the people who port games don't ever seem to think adjustments for such things are necessary. Otherwise, this is a good title and we're enjoying it very much a little over half through.
One of the most original games Ive played. From the troll slave, to the chalk feather, to the magic cards, evening was done creatively. We loved the creepy giant skulls with extremely long, thin teeth! As for gameplay, most hos are revisited, but in a different way from the first time. Hos were silhouette , list, matching, multiples, and story-based. Puzzles ranged from easy to medium in difficulty, and were creatively done. Raven silhouettes to collect in each scene, and you can retrieve any you missed at the end of the the game. Having all the ravens unlocks a mega hos, which was fun. The only issue we had was the bonus story, if you stopped the villain before they turned bad, then the main story would not have happened and youd have never met Jace? And if youre the supreme, why does your magic only come from a book, when all the rest have inherent magic? Also, the bonus story game mechanics are a bit confusing. If it hadnt been for the bonus game, we would have given 5 stars, but just too many inconsistencies to justify that rating.
The intro was a bit short, so, we're not really sure how good, or bad, this game is! We didn't have a chance to use the "skip," "hint," or "map," if there was one. Seems pretty much like other games, though we don't remember having an HO scene, other than one match the shape. The puzzles were simple. Graphics were okay.
At least we have a free version before making the mistake of purchasing a second copy.
Well paid $6.99 for this game and we can't even finish it. Locked at final chapter and can go nowhere. Just be advised you are paying for an incomplete game.
Interesting however had to reset since when we were in the last chapter game stalled and we couldn't go anywhere and had to reset! Trying again and we hope the bugs get fixed.
Big disappointment, we purchased the game and it doesnt work, we want a refund. We downloaded another copy and that one work, but we need to buy it again. Please be advised that the free version works, but when we bought it it didnt.
It is a wonderful game until the beginning of the Bonus game. We could not move the 4 emerald crystals. Bah, humbug.
Got to last chapter. Got sent to scene by the tree. Couldn't move any direction. Had to start over.
Not great. Not for us. Thought it was kinda c-h-e-e-s-y…. Would not recommend, BF has better.
We left the game for awhile and returned to find the message "saved game corrupted." Lost all our progress and had to start over. Big fail.
