Community Insight:

We LOVED this game!! Beautiful scenes, fun puzzles, games, and HOS!! Our only complaint is that it did last longer.

This game is so awesome and we loved everything about it. Keep the games coming.

No real complaints. The games and puzzles are varied and interesting. The storyline isnt as stupid as they can be, though repetitive. Graphics are nice. No glitches. Definitely recommend.

Fun. Mini games are intuitive, fun, easy to play while still offering a challenge.

We play a lot of these hidden object games and we have to say this one is worth investing in. The graphics are done beautifully, story line good and the puzzles are a refreshing change. This had so many different types, most Id not seen before. We highly recommend this game.

This is a great game to relax an pass the time.

Love the story line everything about this game is great! Love all of the big fish games and Im hoping they continue with more games.

Enjoyed this game immensely. Beautiful scenery. Story was scary at times and engaging. Very well done. The bonus game was great too.

Kept us interested. Flowed nicely, no complaints here.

Really enjoyed every minute of this game. Im casual player, so we enjoy interesting puzzles and story lines, but nothing that is going to drive us crazy with frustration. This was perfect. Honestly, the best game Ive played in a long time.

The best game we have played. Watch out for the butcher…he scared us… Super cool original mini games. We loved the story. We hope you make more like this,.

We loved this game! The story line sucked us in (& we rarely pay attention to the stories, so thats not a common thing for us.) we were actually disappointed when we beat the game – we wasnt ready to quit playing! The attention they gave to the scenery & the backgrounds was great, it was very attractive; detailed, but not so cluttered (or bright) that it got irritating. (Does anyone else get irritated by that? It makes us feel like Im dyslexic, & like our eyes are crossing!) we enjoyed the matching games played to defeat the ghost souls, and the HOPs, too. We will say that there really werent very many HOPs, maybe 6-7 in the whole game. (it may be more, but thats how we recall it.) You have to go to different islands to find the beads, and we really enjoyed the way the swamp was made, and the Boatman was awesome! We really enjoyed his stories about each of the destinations. We dont usually like having to use a map (in the game itself, not the map OF the game, if that makes sense?) to fly, boat, drive, (whatever) to reach the characters destinations, but as we said – the Boatmans stories, & the short distances made it fun. Its not a difficult game, but its not super easy, either. (Although you can make it be to each extreme when you choose the settings, of course.) Did anyone else think it was a little short? We cant really tell, because we zoomed through it … But was it short, or was it due to how much we enjoyed playing? We highly recommend this one.

Got it only because it was on sale & most of the new releases dont appeal to us. That being said Im glad we did! It wasnt difficult by any means but then we play on Casual Mode…. We found the storyline somewhat repetitive but yet enjoyable – A great way to spend the day indoors in the A/C when its over 100 outside.

Im a loyal member of the adventure game. We played many of them. We bought the game once we tried it. The story is interesting and the little games in it are original.

It takes a lot for us to write a review so that said it's one of the best games that we have played. We love the interaction and the story.

Bought this on sale. Turned out to be one of the best games we have purchased. Kept our interest, was a good length. We highly recommend this game.

Enjoyed the game even though it was shorter than others. It was entertaining.

We liked this game a lot! No bugs for us, and although it was a bit short the plot was understandable and the puzzles were fun. Worth the sale price.

Nothing too mind bending but still fun. We played it with our 8 yr old and he enjoyed the story and puzzles too.

Plays like a "five-bn" game. Still on the freebie part but we're liking it so much, we're rating it the first time it asked us :-).

Great storyline, but somewhat predictable what the next move is/where to go in a scene. Very enjoyable, and worth the money.

This one was good — pretty entertaining, pretty predictable, but short. At least there were some interesting characters, some startling moments. There is a formula that all these big fish games follow, so not much variation from the two others we played this week. We got bored. This social distancing time-out leaves a lot of extra time, but, though we've tried, we can't binge on these games. We wish we could because there are so many of them. We'd much rather pay for and play a game that is a fresh idea than pay the same price for a lower quality, mass produced game. We've noticed a decline in the overall quality of HO games over the last five years –that's the kiss of death for the fun factor and it's not fair to people who really liked the genre.

The game was good but way too short for $6.99.

Little short, and easy puzzles but overall good quality and story. No issues with the game performance and it eased from scene to scene.

Puzzles were way too easy, we felt. Loved the fat raccoon. Not as many hos as usual, but Im ok with that. The hos were varied, mostly interactive. Very straightforward game play. Length was average.

Fun, entertaining, and gripping.

Great game! Custom settings- brilliant but too short.,.,.

Just started it for free trial and we will probably purchase this one.

We enjoyed the game, but the action with the butcher seemed like it came from another game.

This game is so gruesome and short. The others in this series are much more enjoyable.

Got to butcher and all our items at bottom lost. Cant continue.

Well we are trying to purchase/unlock this several times. Always just sits there and backed out shows purchase failed. We did notice there are 2 of the same games at the app store maybe thats the problem. Will try and delete and reload hopefully it will work. We were enjoying the game but just cant unlock it.

We don't remember playing this game but we definitely remember the butcher seen from before. Game was okay.

We've only played the sample game, so we don't know everything. But, it seems like fun, with a few exceptions. We don't like the match the items games which you have to play whenever you need to use the medallion. If we wanted to match three, Id buy a match three game! That ruined it for us. Some of the items we skipped because they were boring. Luckily, it still had lots to recommend it. It has a good map and hint system. The map allows you to teleport to new locations. But, we left the game for a while, after we gave the picture to the boatman, and when we reopened the game it was stuck. It finally reset somehow, and the boat took off to the next island. We wish they didnt include the match three. We REALLY hate them.

You cant enjoy any game much less concentrate with someone talking the entire time! The emotional tone and dramatic inferences make it that much more annoying. So its either no volume or hearing this woman talk….and what if a man is playing the app? Then theres the game itself. Its boring and very dated. That pulsing action when selecting an object…..?? Although we do appreciate the Custom Difficulty Option. Suggestion: If you cant create modern graphics or an exciting storyline, at least come up with great gameplay through challenging mini games and puzzles…..LOTS of them….to balance out. Better luck next time.

First we ran into trouble with the butcher: trying to draw the symbol with red marker, lost all lower screen tools, inventory, etc. Could do nothing, unable to move forward or backward, so started over with a different profile. Carefully made it through the butcher episode, but at almost the end of the game, the same thing happened with the lumberjack. We gave him the axe and subsequently lost all tools, inventory, and navigation. We don't want to play the whole game over a third time, so we have given up. And now we've lost out on the bonus chapter. The Big Fish forum for tech issues with this game is closed. We see others wrote to the forum with the same issue, but received no response or solution at all. Playing on iOS 10.2.1.

Definitely NOT worth $7! This game is buggy and boring. We've played many of these types of games and this one is really disappointing, especially for the price. Weak story line, puzzles are not challenging, length of play is short. Wish we'd read other reviews about the bugs before wasting our money to purchase.

Buggy for sure. We keep trying to give the boat driver the clue to go to the cemetery and nothing happens. The map opens bu you are never taken there. IPad would like our money back.

The title credits keep popping up again during the talking scenes. Its making it impossible to enjoy the game.

Our daughter loves playing these types of games. She buys them. But we can not play them on our iPad. From what we figured out, you must all share the same account, even if we download from her purchase, it will let us play the trial game but not the whole game.

We cannot go to Dead Island. We have deleted and reloaded, still won't work. We want our $7 back.

We downloaded this game and it was kind of buggy at first but nothing too bad- but then shortly after purchasing it has become unplayable. The screen goes entirely white when you reach the cemetery. What a waste of money. Very disappointed Big Fish.

We purchased this yesterday & had to pay $6.99 & now the price is $4.99!!! What is wrong in this picture, so we gave it 1 star. We'd like our other $2.00 reimbursed.
