This game is amazing, and you will see a lot of people say that the day limit is a dumb thing, and theres one thing they are forgetting, this is the PAID version. That means that single player has infinite days….. So the only thing thats dumb is th for prematurely writing a review.
Interesting game but getting charged for fuel twice really kicks the fun down.
Used to be a huge fan of Tradegame Labs. That said we should absolutely not have to continue to pay to play a game Ive already purchased.
You pay 99 cents for the game and it limits you to how long you can play like wth.
3 stars only because Its fine until you run out of days to play and then youll have to spend money to go further. There should be a career version or something that you can just play and play and just get as big as you can.
Was a great game until it started taking 20-30 seconds for every move. Every time we hit return key the game freezes.
Ive played a lot of Crappy simulations but this is not one ive made it Through 30 years and ended number 7 on our Channel out of 2858 players im still playing the simulation just for Kicks ill be starting a Second round this week wish us luck hoping to Master it this time Around.
Only have two complaints. One we wish there was no time limit on how much u can play per day. Really hate that. And also we wish the graphics were better. Game is a tun of fun tho.
After we certain amount of days in the game, you are not able to play anymore. You have to purchase some extension to continue playing, so the game doesnt even work after some time. This also DESPERATELY needs a UI redo. Its slow, it has a very simplicits and not well sorted or labeled home screen, and it does not thoroughly tell you how to do things that you unlock during the game, such as long term contracts. Overall, get it if your looking for a couple weeks (or days depending on how much you play) but its not great in the long term.
We used to love TradeGame, but then ios11 came. We kindly asked them to make their cruise tycoons, the old airplane tycoons, hotel tycoons available for ios11, but they said no, and to play ship tycoon, the crappiest game they have. Those were the only games we liked about TradeGame, and they dont care that we dislike their newer crappy games. Do not buy or promote TradeGame, unless of course they listen to us finally and bring back the games we love. We spent nearly 40 dollars on their games, and they some reason didnt care.
This game is great Been playing solid for sometime dont really have any complaints about it but since we are online for single player ship auctions would be a great option if you can squeeze that in. Our main concern is we were charged twice Jan 8 and we have emailed you on the topic reported it to admin in game app several times we just want something done if its credited on our card or credits. Its 4.99 but we work hard for our money n was wondering if we can get what we payed for we are going to continue to play and purchase credits but we are asking for what we payed for. Have you guys ever thought about making a trucking game in the similar fashion as ship tycoon.

Ahora mismo estoy en Puerto Rico y aqu la seal celular est fatal. Pero de igual forma creo que sera una muy buena funcin el jugarlo offline.

We love this game. It is so good. It is very realistic and teaches you how to own a company. (Mdog) is the name on the game for the owners.
We really enjoy playing this game. It is quick to learn to play, but learning how to play the most profitable game takes some time. That's good to us, games that are easily mastered get boring quick. The multi-player function grants a limited amount of in-game "days" based on a real-world clock. This keeps everyone on a server reasonably close to each other in time, thus ranking makes more sense. And the timers keep us from playing this too much in a single sitting. Redbarchetta3.
Cruise tycoon was a little childish. This one brings in airline tycoon expertise into a great ship game. Very enjoyable. The drawback being to grind less, money has to be put in to reach the largest vessel before the end of the 30-year game. Last, a major issue is must be online for single player…. What is the point of that?? Tytyty.
Game overall design is awesome. Lots a gameplay and different strategies that can be used. One warning, the contract bidding can work to your advantage and also bankrupt you. Always try to have contracts going in both directions. That is how you really start to make some cash. So far, the developers have added some nice features. And we're sure as the game continues, more features will be added. Hours and hours of gameplay. We can play for 12 hours a day or more if we wanted too. Simple to pickup but can also involve a lot of strategy. Requires some time investment to progress through the various licenses but not on an hourly basis. Also, you don't necessarily need to spend $ in order to compete with the others online. SN: W2k.
We love this game. We've literally played this game every single day since we downloaded it about 6 months ago. However we do wish there were a few more ship options though but the game is still the best mobile game we've ever played.

We enjoy this game, but it could be so much better. Just a few issues as examples: 1. So many clicks! Better UI could combine more info on one page so it's faster to play. As it is, it requires a minimum of seven clicks to select a ship, fill it with cargo, refuel, and leave. That assumes just one cargo load, no need to get maintenance done, and going to the default destination at the default speed. Sure, long term contracts don't require any (usually) but beginners won't see that option. 2. When buying ships on auction, you can't use the money you put on deposit for the initial bid when rebidding at a higher price. This means you need the new bid amount in cash in order to bid. Crazy! You should obviously be able to use the amount you put on deposit toward the new bid since you're really just increasing that bid. This silly implementation has stopped us from buying a few ships, and it's quite annoying. 3. This developer craves attention. Why else would there be no way to speed up the daily awards? It just spins for a while and you have to wait until it's done… How about adding the ability for us to click on it to finish quickly? This is common sense design but…whatever… 4. As with their other games, the instructions are minimal, at best. For instance there is no information anywhere, not even online that we can find, of the details of why one would want a port office. It turns out (and we only learned this by buying one) that having it provides other options for additional cost that would lower maintenance at that port, refueling at that port, etc. Some of these options require you to buy credits.
This is what we have been looking for quite some time. Happily paid for the game to support the developers, but the in-app purchase is just a lazy way to get more money at the start of the gane. Similar to Ports of Call / TransOcean in terms of the economic side of ship trading game. Only downside is that it is an online only game, at the moment. Read somewhere that developers are still planning an offline mode. Was flying for 15hours and that would have been perfect time for us to catch up on our game. Not all Business Class offers WiFi service onboard. Too bad. Will make this 6 Stars as soon as the offline mode is already available! Thank you Developers.
The game is fun, though there's a pretty big learning curve in being able to build up enough money for the larger ships, especially early in the game. And in the single player mode you're only allowed to play half the time as multiplayer unless you buy credits, even after paying for the game. That seems really cheap to us. If you're going to charge for a game, don't charge to continue playing (a minimum of $2.99 in credits).
Nice game, but we find it ridiculous that you have to spend more money just to extend your playing time… Very disappointing marketing strategy.
This game is great. But requires a lot of improvements. The ability to visit different ports without actually sending a ship. Using game money instead of Gems that require purchase with real money and adding more contracts.
We bought this game because we liked the free version. It let us play till the year 2015 and then locked the game saying we needed to purchase it. This game will get a 5 star rating when we get what we paid for.
We're going to start off by saying tradegame labs has made some great games, especially with the air tycoon series; it's come a long way and is one of the best realistic strategy games on mobile devices, and ship tycoon is no exception to that. However…… Ship tycoon plays very well, it is consistent with the other tycoon games such as Air tycoon and hotel tycoon and we get a lot of enjoyment playing this game but the marketing strategy is absolutely brainless. Before you buy this game consider the following: -Single player only goes on for 15 in-game years, at which point you are forced to buy an in-app purchase to continue it beyond (the cheapest is $2.99) so tack that onto the cost of the game. -Multiplayer takes a long time, there is not "fast play" sort of option so the only way to got 30 in-game years is by legging out multiplayer. -Recently the company launched a campaign that promised users 70 free in-game credits (ones you would have to purchase) to anyone who writes positive reviews on the respective app stores (Apple or Google play). And then at the end of the week they would pick the best 3 from each store and those 6 members would get 500 credits each. We find this to be extremely unethical because they are creating falsified reviews; enticing players to give positive reviews for a reward. They are encouraging misinformation and that to us seems like it could be illegal. We don't understand the strategy of this company all the sudden making these moves. We feel as someone who is a loyal player to this company that this ends up making us not want to buy their products in the future and we can't understand why the strategy would change like that we doesn't make any business sense whatsoever. We can't consciously give this game a good review because of those things.

This game is good, yes. But it needs to have updates to have a bank to take out loans from and other things like that, there should also be a way to reduce lifetimes limits on ships. We have put money into this game and am still not satisfied with the results because of the multiplayer time policy. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME.
With the greatness of Air Tycoon 4, we were thrilled to see a shipping game from Tradegame. Sadly, we couldn't be more disappointed. Why? Because the stupid thing needs a persistent internet connection, even for SINGLE PLAYER. And, adding to the insult, despite having BOUGHT the game, you have to PAY MORE to play single player! "Unhappy" doesn't describe it. More like…"disgusted.".
Paid for the game only to get in the middle of a game to learn we have to pay more money to continue playing. We have always been a fan of this companies games but now the have just went to far. Save your money.
Good game however we hate where you have to be in the game to make sure it's going, wish you had the ability to go in and make shipments and come back in a few hours to collect and do again. Also hate how there's no bank.

Great game and very fun. We just found out if you play it too fast though with the time sped up you get kind of a timeout because you've played too many days in front of others. Dislike this part but still very fun and challenging.

This game has everything anyone could ask for in a tycoon style game. This game literally saved our life. Prior to Ship Tycoon, we didnt think any game was worth living for… And now, Ship Tycoon is our sole purpose for being on this earth. Big fan of the tycoon management games. TradeGameLab has made some great games in this genre. If you want a game that allows you to start your own business and manage your company then this is your game. In Ship Tycoon you start your own shipping company and manage the big picture, per ship. Great management depth but not overly micromanaging. It will take a few days to learn all the tricks like picking the right home port really does matter but once you get the basics down this game is super engaging and fun. The most recent update offers a single player mode but you will still need an internet connection (kind of a bummer if you travel a lot) but this mode is great if you can't play everyday. In app purchases do help (competitive edge) but aren't needed. You can play with the credits they give you (at the start) and have a great time and excel. Pros: -Great value -InApp Purchases not needed -Great graphics -Highly addictive -Strategy at is best -Good customer service -Play same session on multiple devices -Very interesting (in a good way) the way the game cycles through time in online game play. It is real time but yet accruals. Cons: -High learning curve (give yourself time) -Single player requires internet access -No local saving with Single Player GR8ONE78 TradeGameLab-please fix the few open bugs in cruise tycoon. This is a very good game that only needs a little work to make it stable.
We're a big fan of Air Tycoon2 online so we decided to give this a try. Same basic concept except with ships. It's fun to compete with people from all over, still getting the hang of it because this is not an easy game it's challenging and it takes a long time. It has become one of our favorite ways to waste time during the day.
We love tycoon/strategy games. This game is awesome, fun to play, very addictive, love the fact there's different type of ships you can buy (bulk, Containers, Gas, etc) giving you the flexibility to adopt different strategies and build your shipping empire any way you want! We've played just about every tycoon game out there. Nothing compares to the ship tycoon. Hours of challenging goals, combined with realistic gameplay. We've played it from the start and they have continued to listen to the customers and make improvements to keep the game play on point. We're positive this game will only get better and we've enjoyed it so much we play it on 2 profiles – Haas Enterprises.
This game is very addictive! We are racing to get the next biggest boat. We really enjoy the thought put into finding the best contract for our company. The upgrades for the boats are awesome allowing you to take on different materials! Great game can't stop playing!! Heelstyl.

By far the most addictive game we have played, and our first app we're on every morning we open iPad! The graphics look awesome on iPad, and the details of paint scheme and naming your fleets is top notch. Love that we are playing around the world, both in real life and in game! The counter keeps up with fellow competition and keeps us informed of what they are doing and the leaderboard shows where we stand in the competition. Our profile Unitedfr8.
