We like this game is awesome from Steve Rosario.
Played the other Mortimer Beckett games a while ago and was happy to find this one that worked on our iPad. Different than all the other hidden object games out there. Great graphics and a fun storyline. Now going back to play the other MB games, nothings been updated to work with the current iOS systems. Will weever be able to play the older games again.
We gave it a five because we have been playing for years. We like all, the only criticism is that when your looking for pieces why were they broke up like that? We did not like that other than that always fun. Please stop doing the puzzles that we do hate. Everyone is doing that we like your stories not puzzles.
We do not like the privacy policy, nor do we like the ridiculously expensive monthly subscription to continue playing especially now that we see the developer does not respond to any of the reviews. Game was a nice change from standard hidden object searches, but some items are TINY, ITSY BITSY. There are no hints on how to proceed. There is no way to skip puzzles, either. One puzzle, in particular, made no sense, zero, zilch. We found the solution online (a bunch of squares). The only other things we can write are negative comments, so we will stop.
We played the original four growing up as a child, and when we found out about this one we were stoked! When we saw the game though, we wasnt a fan of how different it was, the originals had a charm to it but THIS just looks like every other puzzle game. Once we got into the game, it played like the others which made us happy, so we kept playing and we were enjoying it, we liked the nod to Time Paradox with the Spartan helmet. We also liked how you referenced Lost King with some of the music. But once we got to level eleven, we were hit with the heartbreak of a FRICKIN SUBSCRIPTION! This game gave us nothing but a bad mood, we went into it with a bad mood, and we came out of it with a bad mood. If youd get rid of that stupid subscription then maybe Id continue, but Im not paying for a game that many people say takes about two hours to complete. Another thing, the other Mortimer Beckett games are waaaay longer than that.
This game is difficult and not not enough direction on how to play. Love the graphics.
How do we get pass the level with the key? We opened the curtain & pushed the buttonsnothing! Sadly, you cant skip it.
Is there any chance that the original Mortimer Beckett will be updated so we can play it? We really enjoyed playing them and this Book of Gold is a very poor imitation.
The Gamehouse original stories connect is not working for us. It is stuck and we just updated the app.

We really enjoyed playing this game! However, we see that you have other stories for this character but they are not able to be downloaded. Except this story, all others say developer hasnt updated to newest version iOS 11. Please consider updating all of the Mortimer stories.
We were a little apprehensive about this game but gave it a try. Im so glad we did! It quickly became one of our favs from Gamehouse. The story line was cute and we liked that it wasnt your average mindless hidden object game. You actually had to figure out other things too! Hope Gamehouse doesnt take too long before another comes out. If they stay to this model they will have another Mortimer hit on their hands.

Graphics are good. Had no glitches, which was refreshing. Story line was cute. Should have been longer for the amount charged though. We have been a loyal fan of ALL the games by this company! Lately we just feel like the games are getting shorter; however, the price remains the same… Cant wait for the new Allison one!!! Overall good job with this game.

Enjoyed the game. In challenge mode the timer was very quick, forcing us to play this over and over. The game was enjoyable and we went back to find other games we knew we owned-they have not been updated in a long time and if you ask about it they will just tell you they are working on new games. Thats a shame because Mortimer games were very good. The st,he of these games were different and enjoyable. We had refer it a walkthrough to help with the game. Not level had instructions , some things were impossible to find without help.
The graphics are vastly more primitive than in previous adventures, but the fun is the same. Mortimer has always needed a love interest.
We love the stunning, bold graphics and scenery. The characters are likable, and the story is fun to follow. We would like to see a little more danger. We enjoy the subtle references to the the other Gamehouse games, and the story relating to Snuggford. We think it would be cool, if as a bonus game, you have to visit some of the Snuggford characters and then have to play a round of their games. We loved the hidden object mini game. Level 44 mini game was incredibly difficult, which we enjoyed the challenge. Flying the hot air balloon across the dessert and trying to find the mouse, was very tedious and boring, least favorite part of the game! If the balloon was much faster, it might be bearable. We didnt mind the catch 25 mice mini game, but the mini game was played too much for our taste. We absolutely hated the camel race and trying! What are we three year olds? Challenge us more than just pushing a button! Throw in some run and jump at least. Putting together the puzzles was fun, we enjoyed beating the timer. Making the tea was cute. Level 57, the three rings…what the heck was the rhyme and reason to that puzzle? Made no sense! We felt the game was too short, we finished it in two days.
We loved the concept of the game. It was a lot different than the other games involving Snuggford and the Delicious Emily franchise. However, it wasnt as time consuming and challenging as the others. It wasnt worth the $9.99 like the other games. We feel like you dont get your moneys worth. However in the future we would love to see more gameplay like this but a bit more challenging or lower priced.
We never spend money on apps unless its gamehouse, especially $10 for one. Thanks to countless teen hours of playing diner/hotel dash, Im hooked on that style of game that they create. We also played way too much Myst, so we got really excited when we found this which is a sort of combo of the two. Im so disappointed because we did really enjoy this game. The problem is that we beat it in two sittings which was maybe 3 hours. When we hit buy now we expected the quality and hours that Ive got from all of their other games Ive purchased (7 other $10 apps). There were multiple levels that we beat in under 30 seconds. We guess we just feel sort of scammed. Prior to this one we bought the two Sallys Salon games and spent a good 3+ weeks finishing them, so its a significant difference. We really hate leaving these guys a bad review because everything else has been so good, but we really do feel scammed lol. If you dont mind it being short its definitely fun to play! Just not up to expectations for us. Too short and easy.

Was hoping for a seek and find game, but finding things in bits is annoying. Characters are only mildly likable, and story is dull. This series had so much potential. Cant recommend this purchase.
Not the same as the originals. Very disappointed and wish youd update the older ones as we would replay those multiple times then play this one. Sorry was excited for new MB game but so bummed. Even got our son to play the older ones.
This game is not for every body we gave this Game 2 stars we have to a lot going on we got lost for the most part we did end up buying it we really wont like it . Maybe is just not what we are used too.
The story of the game is good, but its not very challenging. The hidden object aspect is rather clunky when you compare it to other hidden object games. If your looking for another game that has the Emily game characters, this is a cute game. Otherwise dont waste your money.
We were really enjoying this free game until it stopped and demanded payment to finish the game. We dont mind paying for a game we like but we dislike being shanghied.
Will you ever make this free with ads? Your prices of 10 bucks per game is just too much to pay. If you dont offer the ads you should really look at the prices for other apps in the App Store and see that 4.99 or so would be much more reasonable. If we find a game is too expensive Im less likely to buy any of their games just out of sheer frustration. Or even bundle a couple games for 9.99.
Im sorry but we couldnt wait for this game to end bc its soooo boring. Kate could have done everything without the guy. Its corny, too. Not entertaining nor interesting.
Compared to the original four games this can only be compared to Atari for graphics. Might be harsh, but they are our favorite games, we hate apple for screwing things up! But this latest Mortimer was such a let down from the original 4, because you could get lost in the fantasy. The graphics were so real, and in 3D you almost felt like you were in the game with him. Sorry, but this latest game is a flat 2d disappointment. Please find a way to make another Mortimer like the first 4. We havent found any games that even come close to the beautiful graphics and really cool story line of the original 4 Mortimers.
This game is nothing like the other Mortimer Beckett games. What a farce.
This game really adds a different spin on the gamehouse games. We love it! If you try not to use the hint button, the game will be more challenging. The graphics and sound effects are amazing.
We really enjoyed this game. We were getting tired of the same old same old with the other games. We love hidden picture games. Think this is a great game and well worth the purchase price.
We actually really enjoyed this game! We have a been a huge fan of the delicious Emily games and the spin off stories for years. But this was a breath of fresh air in the game style. We really enjoyed it. We do wish though that the levels were a little bit harder. We found ourselves finishing most of them extremely fast. We really enjoyed the mini puzzles in between as well. We hope the story will continue.
We have played all the Delicious games. At first we didnt really like this game but it grew on us. We eventually couldnt put it down. The difficulty level was just right for us. We are hoping there is a sequel.
Was it like the previous Mortimer Beckett games, well sort of. But we think its a good game and we dont feel cheated out of $10. At least you can play as you like, unlike the barrage of hurry up and wait games that are flooding the App Store.
We liked the game in a whole. Just the random 3D added to the 2D (like most of the delicious games) art style just threw us off. The characters are enjoyable and the puzzles are fun. Its a simple find the pieces game but we liked it. Been a huge fan of all the delicious games, so this was different and fun.
We are really enjoying the game. We think some people are just closed minded and expected it to be like every other delicious game. Someone said it wasnt challenging but we have to disagree. We found this to be way more challenging than all the other games. This one is different and isnt what you would expect from a GameHouse game and we think thats the best part.
We like the story…but it was too easy. We prefer more time management game play. Filling orders…getting people things. Please continue to make games…we love the stories and connections…just need more of a challenge. We hope you can get games out faster too! We prefer Emily, Angela, etc. We don't really care for the doctor stuff, except Dr. Cares. Love restaurant games.
After all the hype, this game turned out to be a disappointment for us. 1. We beat the game in 1 day. ONE DAY. The levels are way too short. 2. The dialogue and story line was annoying. And the ending???? What?! We wont spoil it for those of you who havent played, but Kate is the worst. 3. The graphics were much better than Maggies Movies and Sallys Spa, so thats a plus. All in all we just wish we hadnt paid for a glorified seek and find game with not so challenging puzzles. Another plus is the first ten levels are free so decide for yourselves.
We really love the Mortimer Beckett games. So we were really excited when we got the email that there was a new one. Once we downloaded it and began playing it we wasnt real thrilled. It is nothing like the original four Becketts. We play those over and over again. We never get tired of those. However, we can no longer play them on our iPad because of the last update. We would really, really, really love it if you would do updates on the first four so that we can play them again. Please?! We dont see ourselves playing this one over and over again. Also not crazy about the zooming in and out.
The objects are too tiny to find and Kate is so self absorbed and rude. It was pretty difficult, even with the hints. Im glad Gamehouse is branching out in new genres, but this one doesnt cut it.
