What Makes Horror in the Pacific Stand Out
Horror in the Pacific is an open world Lovecraftian text-based adventure game, where players explore and investigate progressing though an engaging and exciting story. It is a mobile phone adaption of the classic text-based adventure genre, similar to the point-and-click classics. The game combines a bleak environment, an sense of underlying dread, and several moments of comedy to keep you entertained.
As the third game in the "Horror in the Darkness" series, Horror in the Pacific takes place several years after the events of Horror at Innsport. Called once again to investigate a case of a missing person, our protagonist is drawn to a small resort island in the Pacific, to uncover all new macabre horrors.
This Adventure game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:
This one has to be the best one in the series, its the biggest one at least. We found it interesting that the choices of occupation will affect the ending. Great work.
The story that began in Horror in the Darkness continues in the Pacific, where our hero visits a mysterious island to help solve some disappearances. We love these games and we only wish the developer would make more.
So glad we found these. If youre in Lovecraft, cosmic horror these are a must.
Fun twist on this ever evolving storyline. Enjoyed the new setting and the new characters. Not as creepy as the others, but still suspenseful and the plot definitely keeps you on your toes. Definitely recommend.
This game and the others in the series are challenging, fun, and exist in a universe that truly does feel Lovecraftian. If you liked this game, definitely check out the others by the same developers. We sincerely hope they continue making more games like these.
Quite possibly the best of the games to date. Stays true to the lovecraftian theme while also remaining fresh.
This game series is fantastic. Our one reason for lowering the star count is that this particular installment has so many typos and errors that we were distracted. But other than that it is a great series.
Its a great game but at the same part (where you need to get the fuse) we would try to save it and the option bar freezes every time. We would close out the app and it would do the same thing. Please fix.
Great game-was really hard to put down and upgrading was an easy choice. Ran into a couple of bugs that froze the game while playing, happy to reproduce those if Devs want. Great atmosphere during the game, music and story writing was superb and didnt go overboard on too many details but let it build itself and use the reader imagination. A bit dark souls-ish. One gripe – some of the items disappeared after use and some didnt without explanation why so ended up wasting lots of time trying to use old items again and again when we were stuck. Also, some of the clues and progression points were very non-intuitive and based on common knowledge that are not very common knowledge outside of certain generations/geographies. For example, using the sugar correctly would be outside the intuitive knowledge of many younger or foreign players. Overall, though, fantastic game. Cant wait for the next one.
We had fun playing this, exploring all the locations and figuring out how to solve various puzzles. We're at the very end of the game though and we're stuck. We think we need to use fireworks with the ledge but we can't figure out got how to do so. Also, at this point in the game, when we press hints, the program dies and we need to restart it. Any suggestions? BTW, we just bought the next game in the series, Madness at Hobbsgate, so that's our endorsement of all of these games.
After cutting lokata tree seems there is a glitch that we can not longer pickup tree/wood and not in our inventory. When we go back no sign of tree either.
Fun to discover the ins and outs.
