Community Insight:
This game was our childhood wish there was more chapters.
Honestly to say the least this was a great experience and overall a jaw dropping experience it was good and the puzzles were a lil changing bit we pursued on what we mean to say you and this studio can go many places in the future we know the games you guys are cooking in the kitchen are absolutely amazing.
So far it has been fun and a challenge. We hope it keeps being this interesting. We like it a lot.
We love this game so much we want there to be a second one and see what happens more in the story.
We like it because it not super easy but crazy difficult with no clues at all.
Amazing game. Great graphics, nostalgic feel (somehow) Sam weirdly looks like our sister though LOL. 5 stars.
Love it so far, easy controls and great story so far.
Really like the challenge of the game.
Not the funnest escape game Ive played but not the worst. Its decent.
We dont think Im very far in when they start asking for a rating but so far we like it. The millennial looking couple are annoying but we like the puzzles.
Fantastic game. We cant stop playing it.
Why ask us to rate it so soon? But yet the suspense is killing us. We want to know what happens next.
This game is fun and deep and dark at the same time its soo niche fun playing please make more.
The puzzles are fun, but the cut scenes are painfully slow.
Fun little game…sometimes moving around is a headache.
The game is OK but its a little bland we think we like the faraway series better maybe you can make a preview to faraway explain more about the story of that game we would really love if you do that. We were really sad when the series came to an end this game is OK though maybe if you do tweaks wouldnt hurt thank you for making those couple years of our childhood. Wonderful far away. Games were great. Keep up the good work.
We would like to continue game game without buying it.
Why is it just one chapter? Its a good game, but a cash grab in a way. We hope you can at least make one more chapter free at least.
Why is the code 394 when the clue adds up to 354? Makes no sense. We shouldnt have to watch the walkthrough video because you didnt add correctly.
Very good escape room game but it feels like it leaves on a huge cliffhanger. Spoiler . . . . . Like we seriously cant believe he set the forest on fire, released a demon, and thats where they left it.
Didnt like that this advertised as a whole game but its just the first chapter. The puzzles were relatively simple so far, seems like an interesting creepy story, but then they want $2 a chapter to continue? The first chapter only took us like 15 mins, not gonna pay that much for such short game play unfortunately.
It took 20-30 minutes to complete. All the remaining chapters are locked for purchase only.
Trash game. The game story is illogical, absurd, incoherent, and lacking an endind. NO story line. Puzzles are absurd.
Left the game after we completed the puzzle under the stairs, launched the game the next day, and our progress wasn't kept. Deleted the game.
We like this but we have to BUY the other chapters Im not doing that so you guys can change that.
Family sharing isnt working. Our husband bought this on his phone and we cant get the levels.
Extremely upsetting for no good reason.
What you would want out of this game.
This was really good. Keep up the good work.
Very good mystery story, quite difficult but very entertaining.
This is a great story!! Im just broke though.
Its a really amazing game and its fun to play.
S falta que as dicas eles Mostrem no prprio jogo.
We had a lot of fun with this game.
We hope the story line continues on its not too difficult and we cant stop playing.
This game is just challenging enough to keep anyone curious where the story is going. We like the clues are spread out and to put them to use player must keep going back. If you like a mystery, keep playing. Hope to see more.
We had a blast playing this game. It's visually compelling and there are little to no instructions about how to complete a puzzle, so we felt all the more satisfied when we'd derive the puzzle solving mechanism and solve the puzzle. But.. The game was severely lacking in it's story telling. We don't think there was ever a conclusion, or much of reason given as to why the kids were snooping around to begin with. We paid for the full game, and felt it was incomplete.
We really like the but the thing we don't really like about it is that like you have to pay for part 2 and 3 but besides that we really like it.
Overall we enjoyed this game. We liked the look of it and the puzzles were intuitive but not too easy. But the plot never really went anywhere. We were hoping to learn more about why the grandfather and the dad didnt get along, and the game hinted at some spooky things but never really went much of anywhere with them. The lack of real supernatural elements was a letdown after what we thought was a good buildup.
The puzzles are okay (not difficult at all, but thats ok depending on your skill level) and fairly par for the course with this developer, but the game overall is too short for the price compared to others by the company. But most of all, our complaint is that the games plot cannot decide what it wants to be, and ends up being a disappointing mess. Is it a ghost story? An animal fable? A meditation on family relationships? Who knows! None of these ideas are developed adequately so the end of the game is deeply frustrating. Go download a Faraway game instead.
What a letdown on the story. Theres so much inter at that they didnt go into. We really wish that there was more to the story or else dont hunt at the supernatural elements. We bought the full thing but am disappointed, not by the challenge of the puzzles, but by the story. It really leaves you wanting more.
If your playing to just play the demo its fun and makes you excited to play more. DO NOT BUY this game it offers nothing and has no ending we dont get what developers do this why even charge for a game that holds so substance. Im so upset we even payed anything for this game.
Wanted this game for months finally bought it & the ending sucked the game was way to short also.
The game was ok then when we finished chapter 1 it said that we had to pay to play chapter 2.
There is no story whatsoever. It just doesnt go anywhere. At all. And the puzzles are ridiculous. Gathering items just because they are in front of us without knowing what we need them for.. Waste of money.
We dont understand why the keypad under the stairs will not take the codes we punch in. It takes the first two, and the last two we give are correct (as Ive found both of them, watched your own walkthrough, and found another one outside of this app) but it wont take them! It is extremely frustrating, we have started another game just to do it in a different order yet it does the same thing! We were thoroughly enjoying the game up until this point, and unless this is fixed we wont be playing at again.
We actually enjoyed playing the game even though some of the puzzles were just confusing to the point that we had to consult the walkthrough and we are glad they did include a walkthrough. However, the story to us was the big fail. The ending just made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Like, none. Couldnt get past that so – 1 star, and we would not recommend this game. Sorry.
This is so slow and boring. Not worth waiting for the download.
Snapbreak makes high quality and high value games! Ive played many escape puzzles, and Snapbreak games are just the right length and just the right difficulty. We love that the puzzles are logical and solvable, and the clues are findable. Ive had to access hints/walkthroughs only occasionally. Ive never felt like we couldnt have figured it out ourselves if we had tried harder or been more patient. We love the completely different themes and styles of the six (nine) games currently available: Faraway 1-4, Through Abandoned, Dreamcage, Machine City, Stranger Cases, and Logan Estate. The graphics of each game are beautiful and fun, and the varied styles keep us coming back to Snapbreak to see whats next! The more detailed artwork of Machine City and Dreamcage have been hard to see on our phone screen. Its frustrating to know the clue is there but we just cant see enough detail to find it. The ability to zoom in would help prevent having to use walkthroughs. Some of the games are a bit heavy on text. Some of the speech bubbles are necessary because they contain clues, but others are just distracting and seem to slow the game down. We also love the way Snapbreak has the confidence in their work to allow you to play a good portion of each game before the paywall. It makes the games so much more accessible. There are a lot of lesser games out there that Ive paid to play and been really disappointed. But with Snapbreak we know exactly what Im about to pay for, and know Im going to love it! We just dont understand why the really poor puzzle escape games are the ones that show up in the App Store searches when awesome Snapbreak games exist, -and theyre free! Thank you Snapbreak for making fun, beautiful and quality games.
This games is perfect for those who love to solve puzzles and those who enjoy passing time with a great game.
