Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

Mazm we love the art in this (and jekyll and hyde) chefs kiss omg. If we could marry the art we would guys we absolutely would [erik first ofc] also PLZ BRING BACK THE PINS AND MERCH FOR THIS GAME.

When we first played Phantom of the Opera, which is based on the novel, no less, we were so excited! We were immediately drawn to the rich storyline and characters. However, there has been some noticeable changes to the game since then. For example, we need to watch 4 ads to be able to play a new part. We could play as many parts without any restrictions! Really miss those days.

We were playing this game for a good while then we took a break and then when we logged back into this game, it lost all our progress. And even lost our access to all the other chapters even though we purchased the entire contact two years ago.

We love this game sooooo much! It follows the book storyline so well and the art is Fantastic! We play everyday and count down the hours before we can watch more ads to play more! We definitely recommend it.

MazM: Phantom of the opera is a beautifully crafted novel that will captivate fans that love mystery romances. It has deep story lines with emotional and suspenseful endings.

The blend of romance and mystery set in a majestic opera house creates an immersive experience that's hard to resist. The visual novel style is beautifully executed, allowing players to dive deep into the story while enjoying the thrill of unexpected twists. We love how it stays true to the essence of the original "Phantom of the Opera" while adding unique elements that keep the narrative fresh and exciting. The offline capability is a huge plus, making it easy to play anytime, anywhere. Each choice you make leads to different endings, adding a layer of replayability that keeps you engaged. The tension between the characters is palpable, and the dramatization feels like you're watching a movie unfold right before your eyes. If you're a fan of thrilling romance and captivating stories, this game is a must-try.

As a fan of both classic literature and interactive storyline, we were thrilled to dive into Phantom of the Opera. A Visual Novel. This adaptation captures the haunting beauty of Gaston Lerouxs original tale while providing a fresh and engaging experience.

After reading reviews we were forced to download the app. Its totally worth it. We love the music effects so much.

The gaming application is unique with sweet storyline to match up the graphics , sound systems awesome.

Amazing story adventure game with great features like the offline text without internet connection.

It's so awesome we enjoy every bit of it.

We love the thrill of the theatre like feature and the opera as well.

We loved the game and the background music. We were open the app just to enjoy the music some more.

We love this game it is so cool and unique. Gives an old-school type vibe and has a nice story to it.

This game is a very good game and its very classic.

Whats better than watching a thriller movie? Experiencing it.the game is amazing and we really enjoy the plots and the graphics. The game has a fantastic artwork and the background stories and characters are pretty interesting. The soundtrack even makes it even better and thrilling.the mini games are also interesting and distracting. Best game ever.

As a mum this made us look cool love the app.

We LOVE THIS GAME. It has excellent art and it is accurate to the exact book. We love how the background was given stories to the characters. This is a masterpiece, Accurate adaptation.

It a very good game app. The music is really good and the play through game mystery search definitely keeps your heart beating faster with every twist.

It brings the classic tale to life with beautiful artwork and engaging dialogue. It stays true to the original story while adding immersive choices that enhance the players experience.

The Phantom of the Opera visual novel app is a mesmerizing adaptation of the beloved story! The artwork is stunning, capturing the gothic romance beautifully, while the immersive soundtrack enhances the emotional depth of the narrative. We love how our choices shape the storyline, making each playthrough unique and engaging. The character development is rich, allowing for a deep connection with the protagonists. Whether you're a fan of the original tale or new to it, this app offers a captivating experience that is both enchanting and thought-provoking. A must-try for any literature lover.

As a lover of both visual novels and the original work by Gaston Leroux, MazMs Phantom of the Opera has been on our to-play list for a while now. It professes to be one of the most faithful adaptations of the novel to date and for the most part, it succeeds. However, two chapters out of five in, its clear this game has an agenda that the original book does not, so it is hard for us to call this a good-faith adaptation. Lets start with the positives, because there are a lot. The games presentation is excellent, with lovely and expressive character sprites, backgrounds, and classical music that helps lay the vibe of the scene/story. Much as we all hate freemium games, this one makes it easy to unlock a few chapters per day through a simple (and fairly painless) ad-watching system. Gameplay is straightforward: none of the puzzles feel convoluted, and navigating this world is intuitive and made clear through in-game dialogue. Speaking of dialogue we reread the OG novel earlier this week, and am impressed with how this game preserves so many conversations from the original almost verbatim. There are some added ones, of coursein particular, MazM centers Christines perspective more by exploring her relationships with other, particularly female, characters. We really want to highlight Christine and Carlottas dynamic: their early interactions add a layer of heartbreak to their rivalry. These little added moments greatly flesh out the original and modernize it for a 21st century audience. However, some of MazMs other additions are heavy-handed to the point it makes us wonder if they even actually liked Lerouxs novel. What we love so much about the OG novel is its unyielding compassion for every character. Whether dealing with Raouls self-centeredness, Christines dubious decision-making, the managers incompetence, or Eriks crimes, Leroux makes a point to explore where everyone is coming from, and urges the reader to see things from each perspective especially the ones society finds hardest to empathize with. Where MazM adds new characters and alternate angles, theyre largely there to reinforce a single point: that Erik is a monster who deserves no sympathy from Christine, Leroux, nor the audience. Yes, in the era of incels and all that, it is probably worth emphasizing that what ERIK views as romantic is pretty much abuse, control, and male entitlement. But this game hammers the point in so hard and from so early on that it ends up feeling like a borderline character assassination on two levels. Look, Erik and Christine are two of our favorite characters in all of fictionhe for his hidden humanity, and she for both her agency and her ability to recognize that. It is so rare to find a novel where what defeats literal supervillainy is a womans compassion. Two out of five chapters in, its already obvious this game wont be going that route. And, knowing how it probably ends, we honestly doubt Ill stick around to see it. All in all a well-made game, but not a very nuanced one. If you share the creators take on Eriks character, youll probably find a lot to like. But if you feel, like Leroux, we must needs pity the opera ghost, you are unlikely to find that here.

We read the novel back when we were in high school and couldnt put it down. So we were thrilled when we found out that had been turned into a visual novel. We also saw the musical production live three times and we were amazing the man who brought Erik to life had the most handsome singing voice our ears have ever heard. Now that having been said we really enjoy this visual novels artwork, architecture, and so on and Erik AKA the phantom of the opera is our favorite male character. When we tried to watch adds in order to get points are whatever they are it doesnt work please fix this other wise we really like this visual novel. Thanks again please keep up the good work Katie Keller.

We lvoe them all, they're so silly.

LOVE Mazm for their retelling of classics white staying true to sourse material, and adding new perspectives and motivation. A really creative and entertaining storytelling game.

This game is so awesome and it matches the actual story and its so intense and interesting it gives us chills down our spine and goosebumps all over.

Awesome pleaseee download it. We never leave reviews but this game is so good. Chefs kiss.

The game is great, but we can't watch the ads to continue the game :( he writes that there are no ads available for viewing.

Very nice way to go through the tale of the phantom of the opera! But we have one complaint! (If you have never read this book or played this app BE WARNED SPOILER AHEAD!!!!). We honestly think you have Eriks age wrong. Why do we say this? Because when the daroga found him he was young boy and daroga was already a grown man. We could give his age to be in his forties but not 50s because its mentioned that daroga was 56 whe he had Erik again playing as a phantom on France. Even if he was 12 when daroga found him in the circus, which we dont believe, daroga wasnt 18 when he found him. At least thats the way it appears, but we could be wrong. We apologize if Im mistaken.

The game is just awesome but since a week or so, we havent been able to view ads so that we can purchase episodes. It keeps showing failed to connect and thats upsetting as this is the only game we want to play currently. Please fix.

Our biggest issie with this game its that its a HUGE battery drainer. WHY.

We did not think we were going to like this but it is truly a hidden GEM. The story is based on Phantom of the opera but is written creatively where even if you know the story, there will still be new twists. The style of the game is beautiful and intriguing. We will definitely be checking out other games by them. Every other telling of the story has been ruined after playing this.

So Im a HUGE FAN of Phantom of the opera,but…….. How can we continue the story if we cant earn the in-game money and we cant purchase it because of restrictions on our phone? Yes we have restrictions, b thats because Im only a.

Another great display of this timeless classic as well as another amazing display by the creator of this visual novel.

Such an awesome game!!! We have admired Phantom of the Opera since we were 8 years old, Ive seen the musical twice, seen almost all the movie adaptions and we read the book adaption last summer so we knew exactly whats going to happen in the game!! So cool how sometimes you can choose what you want the character to say and do and hope you make the right decision and we love how in the end you learn what the whereabouts are for each character in this classic beloved, romantic, uplifting story which remains so popular in so many ways.

Got this game on a whim, and Im so glad we did! The art is sublime and this is the first Raoul Ive actually liked! So glad there are more games, we cant stop playing this one T-T.

Let us just start off by saying we love both the PotO musical and the original story. We agree that the musical takes something away from the original character of the phantom but you guys really did him justice as a character. We believe this game competes with both the book and musical as a favorite. Thanks for keeping it clean! We hate it when fan fiction stories add a bunch of sexual stuff that really doesnt need to be added. You guys did a great job! Spoilers: Some proofreading errors… Some of the dialogue has typos which cause what a character is saying to be confusing. Also Eriks last mentioned age in Persia is 35 so then he goes to Turkey to escape. He and Daroga say they dont see each other for 15 years which if we are correct would make Erik 50. At that time when Erik and Daroga again meet it is 9 years before the events with Christine….so Erik would have to be almost 60 when he meets Christine. In the facts about Erik though you say he is 50. We could just be confused about that. We do think that in an effort to be mysterious with the story some parts tend to be confusing but the review and character sketches do help with that. As far as the story line…the phantom almost made us cry at the end even though at times he made us mad. We are glad Christine did not choose Raoul. We really didnt like him at all but thats nothing new. Melek was a cool added character. She brought a whole new dimension. She was as bitter toward Erik as he was toward the world which was almost funny because she constantly condemned him and swore she would never be like him. Daroga made us sooo mad. We wished he would have just apologized for his failure to Erik in person but his regrets at the end were very sad. It didnt seem like Daroga and Erik had much closure to their relationship. Their relationship could have been developed a bit more in the story. You alluded to how Erik viewed his relationship to Daroga but it didnt make a lot of sense. We must say that we wish you had kept the end more like the original book. Erik didnt let Christine go so basically he didnt change at all. Christine basically scolded him and found his weaknesses to use against him. It made her seem vindictive in a way and she refused to forgive both Erik and Daroga (which is uncharacteristic of Christine). We loved how you had her putting some action to the pity she had for Erik by trying to help and change him. But by the end she seemed to come to the conclusion that she needed to focus on and take care herself. She changed from easily manipulated to self-centered. Also meeting Christine didnt help Erik at all and in fact he hated her by the end. He was simply a broken, almost crazy, and bitter man who blamed everyone else for his problems. We always at least felt sorry for the phantom from the other stories because he seemed to have seen his error and changed but then was still all alone. We did feel sorry for yours but more because he was so blind and lost to the truth that he remained in his own chains and darkness. We know you probably cant change it but the only reason we gave four stars was because we did not like the ending. It was definitely different from other adaptations but very depressingly so. Those who changed were never truly happy or they changed too late. The past was like a bad dream to all of the characters. This PotO story was a classic tragedy. Your art work and music were top notch. Honestly it is a very cool game! Keep up the good work.

This game has fantastic art and is pretty accurate to the classic book!! We love how the they gave background stories to the characters and the music score is impressive!! But theres a few things that bug us lol 1. We would have love to see Erik in his Red Death costume in masquerade but we understand if you couldnt make that happened!! 2. We dont like Melek… Shes rude!! Plus even Erik isnt that mean and would do that to a person!! (Lol) 3. We dont like the ending. It should have ended with Christine kissing Eriks forehead and showing Erik letting Christine and Raoul get married like the book instead of Erik being mad at Christine till the end of his life and dying without a single happy moment in his life or showing that he had a little compassion for Christine and Raoul like he did in the book!! But besides that its a great game and we would recommend it to anybody whos a phan like us or loves classic books.

Its absolutely amazing and we adore every second of it! Really do wish there was the forehead kiss at the end, however.

Most games are exciting, but cant compare to this. Our heart was racing the whole time. We would only change 1 thing, you have to watch adds to earn tokens to buy the next part of the chapter. We dont mind that at all, what we do mind is that you can only watch 3 per day! You should allow us to watch as many at a time as we want. Again, it is worth the time to download this game.

This is a great game and we really like the plots. Also this game is long and worth the money. A little suggestion is about the movement control for characters. It is kinda slow when you need to tap on a spot to get the character moves and its less flexible.. Also we cannot make ourselves like the main character Christine… Again the plots are good but this girl really is too naive.

We LOVE this game. We always have loved Phantom of the Opera and this game has made us love it even more!! Its very interesting and overall fun. It has even helped us understand the novel even better! We were really surprised that there was so little reviews and ratings because its just an awesome game.

This game is amazing! We love the graphics and plot in this! Phantom of the Opera has always been our favorite and this makes us love it even more. Ive never read the book but this gives us a new perspective on each of the characters! Developers should do a game based on the Phantom of the Operas sequel called The Phantom of Manhattan! It makes the Phantom such an alluring character.

This game is something we love and never knew we needed till now thank you for making a wonderful game such as this one.

Ive played your previous installment (your Jekyll and Hyde one!) and your phantom game is a wonderful step up!!! The mini games were pretty fun and engaging; the music was really added to the atmosphere and we got through mostly with the ads up until the end and decided to pay for the latest chapter because of how we invested we became from your interpretation of the phantom of the opera characters- additionally we like the changing of point of view where you can look into the side stories of the supporting cast. We cant wait to any future games youll be releasing! One thing to note for some bugs: theres some broken code in chapter five where some of the text isnt red (it didnt have something to end it and when raouls sprite is Christine).

We cannot describe with words how amazing this game is. The story, the music, the characters, the art, and everything about this game is so mesmerizing.

This game is amazing, we dont understand how there are so little reviews and rating for this game. This game deserves so much attention. Its different, and fun, and has an amazing story and little facts. We love everything about it! Its actually compelled us to learn more about the story! The character designs and art are outstanding. There are no words to describe how amazing it is. And the soundtracks make it even better. We love the music and sound effects, it makes us feel the emotion in the scenario, whenever its a happy feeling, a scared feeling, or just plain old funny. The mini games are also fun, we like them, it makes us feel more connected, and there just fun in general. Ive gotten through chapter 2 without paying, its great to be able to play without having to be interrupted by ads, and instead choosing to do so if we want to keep going. We cant wait to see the next upcoming chapters! We love everything about the game, and the only bad thing is the couple of bugs we run into from time to time, but they arent too bad, so it doesnt interrupt the fun. Id say more, but we think this review is getting too long. We hope you make more amazing games with amazing stories like this.

Ive only reached the beginning of chapter three so far, but we wanted to share our thoughts on this game. This game had a lot to live up to, at the very least to us personally, because of how beloved MazMs Jekyll and Hyde game was. We tried our best not to compare the two, considering our love for the latter was sure to give us a bit of bias, so here are our thoughts: we love the way the gameplay is set up. The timeline, the character screens, the little achievements you get, and (especially) the cute cats that hang around all are a big improvement from the last game (look at us, already comparing). But the gameplay is set up in an easier way that feels very natural. The puzzles seem a tiny bit more challenging, but not as much as we would hope for, but their still very fun. The character speed is… Very slow, and with the opera house being so big, it can be grueling trying to go from room to room to find the next step to take. Still, very enjoyable! The character designs and the artwork are stunning! MazM knows how to pick those artists, because every special image and character design is gorgeous! We have to admit, when we first saw our gender-ambiguous detective and Christines sky hair, we were a little off put by the artistic liberties. It seemed they should belong in a fantasy setting rather than historical fiction. But still, stunning nonetheless. The dancers designs are wonderful and accentuate their different personalities so well, the phantom is creepy and eerie and we LOVE IT, and Christine is a literal angel inside and out. Though, the game isnt too body positive, since anybody with a body type that doesnt look like it came off a runway is seen in a negative light. Bet eh thats just a minute thing. We love love love how once again the story very closely resembles the book, why even read literature anymore when youve got these beautiful games?? (Just kidding please go read original works, theyre masterpieces) The phantom has this edge to him that you dont often see in most renditions of him, and it absolutely screams horror! You feel desperate with Christine as she tries to plead for him, but its so apparent the monster is his soul not his face. We even feel for Raoul, and we usually NEVER feel for the renditions of Raoul! Five stars again because we love the games from MazM, and Ill be excited to see what they do in the future! Im just saying, Frankenstein, Dracula, Sherlock, and the Picture of Dorian Gray all have your name on it.

This game is best played alone in a dark room with the sound on. The imagery, music, and story is beautiful. Our favorite game.
