The visuals are very pretty, and the engine is very good and comfortable. It would be nice if there was more you could do in the game with more options besides the main events (like an AU story or something of that style). Overall a good time.

This game is awesome. The soundtrack and artwork are top tier and fit really well with the theme of the story. The characters are really befitting of their personalities, and the puzzles are a nice touch. This game also shone light upon our strange taste in men. Of all the renditions of the book we’ve seen, the flamboyant Mr. Hyde has never looked so handsome. Is that weird? Probabtly. Sorry, sorry, back to the point. This game is very underrated and we hope it gets more attention in the future ^^

Why do we only have to pay in gold for the side missions while we have a option to pay In Gold or silver for the main missions it doesnt make sense.

The limit on ads kills us. We were at a really suspenseful moment and then its all like ad limit reached. Not cool.

The story is really good and we were first introduced to the book through this fame but if you choose to play it for free than it is so unfair. You only get 50 gold per day after so much sliver. You use gold for sides story and picture. The sliver felt so useless. We feel like the newspaper should reward 25 gold but it rewards sliver. The phantom of the opera does this much better where it doesnt feel like you have to pay for it.

Out of every adaptation of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde we’ve seen, this one is easily the most faithful to the book. The character designs are gorgeous, the soundtrack is stunning, and the pacing is excellent. Unlike other adaptations that will use romance or violence to try to spice up the story, this version tells the story as it is and uses POV changes to create tension. When you open a level and youre playing as Hyde, you KNOW somethings about to go down. However, this review wouldnt do the game justice if we didnt talk about the soundtrack. Sometimes we open this game just to listen to the title theme because its absolutely GORGEOUS (Im actually learning to play it on piano)! We refuse to play this game on mute because the music contributes so much to the emotion of the story. Its hard to find games with soundtracks this powerful! (Which means we definitely have a lot to look forward to when we play Phantom of the Opera!) (Please put the soundtrack on Spotify, we would love to add it to our playlists!) Although the game requires you to watch ads to get enough coins to play new levels, we dont really mind this feature as it is absolutely worth it to see this beautiful story play out (for free, nonetheless). Our only issue is that once the main story is complete, the silver coins become completely worthless and you have to get through 5 ads just to get to the gold to unlock the special stories. That can get annoying after a while, but we understand its the price you have to pay to get all the extras. In conclusion, we highly recommend this game to gothic lit nerds like us or anyone who just wants a good story! Great game, and Ill definitely be sure to check out Phantom of the Opera after this! (Also, the Discord server for MazM is pretty great, it would be awesome to have more people!)

Let us start off by saying we LOVE the game. We immediately downloaded this after finishing your Phantom of the Opera game (also a great game). The storys great, the graphics are beautiful, and we highly recommend it. We do have a suggestion about the coins, though. We wish that you could convert silver coins to gold, like maybe 10-1 or something like that? We finished all the main cases, and Im trying to get the other cases and the paintings, which is hard to do when you only get 50 gold coins a day. This also means the 900 silver coins we get are 100% useless. If you could consider a conversion system for coins, that would be awesome! Thanks for reading!!

We dont think we have ever played a game this dull right from the start. It is a good looking game but the dialog is odd and stilted. And the entire opening sequence is just boring. We tried to keep plowing through it (mystery/puzzle game being a favorite) but it just never became interesting.

We were definitely expecting a lot more.

Maaaaaaybe we should be finding a place to put a review on Nintendo EStore, but what the heck, Ill do it here too. We found this game when browsing sales for our Lite Switch, and adored it. The gameplay is simple, the puzzles are not too complicated, the soundtrack perfectly matched, and the artwork is AMAZING. (I dont think we could think of Mr. Hyde in any other design anymore lol.) we came here to find the first MazM project, and found not only Jekyll & Hyde, but Phantom of the Opera, which Im now psyched about (didnt know it was out). We’ve downloaded J&H on our iPad to play anytime we dont have our Switch. Great work, MazM!

The game is great overall; the user interface is unique and wonderful, the artwork displayed throughout the game is great and the way of conveying the story makes you want to play more. The only issue we have are the ads. As someone who at the moment doesnt want to invest any money into so, without having any other choice, watch the ads but its been three days and the daily ads has not been reset. Please look into this and keep up the good work.

We love this game!! We were pleasantly surprised at how accurate it was to the book, considering nowadays most renditions take many different artistic liberties and just keep the main idea intact. But not this beautiful piece of art! The artwork is visually stunning in EVERY aspect, and leaves us speechless with every frame! The way that the timeline and gameplay is organized gives you multiple different perspectives, letting the mystery unfold in a way that captures the mystery of the original novel, and we adored it. With the way they presented the story, you could feel what the characters were feeling. We found myself getting excited with Jekyll and his new discoveries, and feeling compelled with Utterson to get to the bottom of the mysteries. And if you thought for a single second we didnt bawl our eyes out when Hyde mourned and died, we’ve got some crazy news for you! The only thing Id change would be that the puzzles were super easy most of the time. We didnt have to use our tea times once, and we wanted to be challenged intellectually in the game. Regardless, we still loved it and it still deserves another slap down of 5 stars! TLDR: this game is awesome and we’ve replayed it like 3 times. The 7.99$ is 100% worth getting the whole artwork package and story, bc honestly we found myself looking forward to those artistic scenes (they really help make the game!) Thank you for the evil gremlin whom we love (Hyde) and we are SO excited to play your Phantom of the Opera game!!

So we finished this game today and idk why but we cried. Its such a great game. We just wish it was a bit longer. 5/5 for meee.

Three words. We LOVE IT!! The graphics, the sounds, detail and depth put into this is amazing.

Hopefully you do other books like Frankenstein or Dracula, never read Jekyll and Hyde but playing this we might finally get around to it.

Love the game, genuinely awesome, but we have one question: the page and inside the game both mention that there is another game by the same devs, but we cant find it anywhere, what is it?

We absolutely loved this game! We were hooked the whole time! It was as if we were in the novel itself! You can literally feel the raw emotions of horror and tragedy as you play the game; they were so powerful that we almost cried at the ending! We heard youre taking on Phantom of the Opera, count us in on playing it when it comes out.

We dont write reviews often, but this game deserved it. We really enjoy how story-driven it was, and the little tidbits of history about Britain were cool! As a fan of the book this game was based on, we enjoyed how you stayed true to it while also putting an original spin on it. We do hope to see more by you guys soon!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS GAME! Loved every little part of it. From the amazing soundtrack to the beautiful details in the art. Like the way you made the texture of the rugs look so real! This game is honestly such an underrated gem and we really do hope more people play it. Other than the weird phrasing of certain dialogues we cant find a single other flaw in this. But the book itself also had weird phrasing so it could totally be intentional. But we really enjoyed this. Kudos to the entire team. We really appreciate your efforts on this project!!

We love Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde so when we found out there was a app about the game we were so excited! Love it!

The story is actually very nice But we for got that other story of people you have to pay for but there that option to watch A ad to gain silver coins the game story is vey peaceful with the background music Also Im not a bot saying this we are up late enjoying it so far but our own ideas can change but for now we bid any one reading this a good night or day or even or sunrise.

Except a few moments where you play a two second "mini game", the entire thing consists of reading. Which is all well and good if that’s all you want to do, but it should be stated that this app succeeds as neither a visual novel nor a game. You move the character(s) around a map and look at things and talk to people, acquiring historical factoids along the way. That’s literally it. The only thing that qualifies this as any sort of "game" is the fact that you have to interact with it in the most basic of ways to keep things moving along. (I.e. Talk to so-and-so, then go to such-and-such area to talk to different so-and-so… Lather, rinse, repeat) So as a game, it fails. Ironically, this same structure is what makes it fail as a visual novel as well. Whereas in a visual novel you can just sit there and read/watch everything, the app’s whole "adventure game exploration/conversation" dynamic draws everything out to such a slow crawl that by the time you’re halfway through it you’ll be wishing you could just read the actual book. Decent manga-ish art, and decent music, but not worth it. Makes us feel pretty crappy, considering we dropped 10 bucks to unlock the complete app when a copy of the book would have been both cheaper and more satisfying. Oh well.

We love the games by these people!! We would love to see more of these done with classic books! We actually understood the same book better after comparing with this. We would definitely want one for Sherlock Holmes!!

This game was so amazing where should we even begin? We love the smooth mechanics within the game that allow you to move around to areas and visit different buildings, but the storyline was what made this game so amazing. Throughout the entire story, every scene and every chapter had us eager to play the next. This game really got us thinking as it is a mystery game that truly pulls the player into the perspectives of not only the main character, but also the other characters as well, providing a much deeper understanding and connection with the characters and their stories. The music and illustrations were also so beautifully created and integrated into this game. They fit the demeanor of the story so well and also enhanced the experience! Thank you so much for creating this gameit truly provided a great experience and we will remember it for a very long time to come.

We love how its based really off the book! Most games like to go off track for the players, BUT the originality and how the whole game is set up is very nice!!

Bought the Everything pack No regrets Im now crying but still No regrets.

Where to start with whats bad with this game? Seems like the historical facts were given more attention than the actual game. You can only play as far as ads will allot, so you can only play for about 10 minutes before you run out of coins to move on if youre not willing to pay large amounts of money. We really dont see why anyone would. Its just popping around a map having pointless conversations. We understand theyre trying to tell a story, but this is not a good way to do it. The chapters are waaaay too short. There are no rewards for finishing chapters. You cant play the additional cases unless you have gold, which is not rewarded or given enough of from watching ads, which interrupts the story. The hints tell you whom to speak to sometimes but not where you have to go on the map so sometimes theres popping around aimlessly looking for clues. The characters that are standing around in each part of the map serve no purpose. They make unrelated remarks that dont help a player or advance the story or game. Overall, this is not a good game. Better off reading Wikipedia about the time period for informationor better yet READ A BOOK.

Nice little game, but we can’t get past the fireplace mini game in the 3rd(?) chapter. It keeps lagging and freezing up. Don’t know if this is a problem with everyone or just our tablet.

Quite enjoyable little phone game.
