The tripledot version of Sudoku is the best one out there. But as others have said recently, the ads are out of control. Please offer a paid version to get rid of the ads! Five stars for gameplay and one star for all the ads makes a three star average.
And they are getting longer and longer. Looking for a better app. We dont mind paying for it either.
We think its really fun but we don't really like how after every game you have to watch a ad but it's funny that they are almost all sudoku ads.
Very finicky about tapping a number and having the game recognize our choice.
The ads are out of control. If you leave the screen or even use control center to adjust the screen brightness, the app will initiate a new ad. Some ads only last 5-10 seconds of youre ready to find and click the skip icon and then the x icon, but others seem to last as long as 15-30 seconds before you have the option to skip. We gave it several days which is more generous than the app deserves in its current state. Uninstalling.
This is a very time consuming and addictive game, we have a long road trip today and this game will help a lot. Recommend for people who want to think and spend time fast, great game.
Excellent game with daily challenges to keep the mind focus.
We like the journey and daily challenges but there is a ton of ads. Click a menu button, ad. Click to see stats after finishing game, ad. Phone screen times out, ad. Close the app mid game, ad. Mid game with no discernible reason, ad. And no option to buy ad free.
We like the Journeys and 1 ad between each level is tolerable but we dont play Daily Challenges now. You have to play 3 simple boards, each followed by an ad, to get to a board worth a laying. As another review mentioned some of the ads are very long.
Way too many ads interrupting our concentration.
Ive been using this app for years and recently the ads have gotten out of hand. If we are playing the app and get any phone notification (text, other app notification, battery notification, call) triggers the app to start an ad. There are also some ads that are THREE minutes long. We find ourselves watching ads more than actually playing sudoku in the app. Im deleting and downloading a new one :(.
Good design, terrible ads placement and pop ups.
Nice and clean sudoku game. However, we did delete as we often play while watching TV; the issue comes into play that if you let your phone idle and go to Lock Screen, youll have to watch an ad EVERY time. Theres too many ads, plain and simple. More than an acceptable amount of one between games/levels.
Ever since the last update, we havent been able to play the weekly journey games. It only says it will be available soon.
This sudoku app continues to add more and more ads. Now the Zen Match ad freezes and will not let you return to sudoku.
We loved this app until recently when we noticed the app was opening Safari pages to advertisers. It also opens the App Store to each one of the ads. We couldnt keep this app from controlling our browser or opening the App Store. We uninstalled and have not had this problem since. Its fine to advertise to make money but controlling other apps on our phone is predatory. We still cant believe Apple wont stop this.
The commercials are only for solitare cash, a gambling game. Its always the same commercial and its very annoying. We wish that there was some variety. Other than that, the game is standard sudoku and pretty solid.
Great game to exercise the mind.
We grew fond of this sudoku because of the insights after the game. But all is a sudden we cant get through one game with constant ads. We stopped counting at 17 consecutive ads and it never took us back to the game. The screen went black and and wouldnt come back to the game. We uninstalled it and another version.
Easy to read and still challenging.
We love this game and hate the ads, it seems like two or three ads every few seconds.
Is an ad free version an option.
Sudoku may be fun to play but for beginners like us they should give us a bit more chances and but a lot less ads whenever we try to get a hint or try to go to a new level.
Controls for making entries are good, but visually it is difficult to pick up the numbers because of the shading used.
The ads at the top of the screen move around, flash colors and encroach on the game board. If this keeps up, it will be so long for us.
We picked this Sudoku site because it said there was no advertisements and yet before every game we play. We have to watch an advertisement for some other game. Ill be leaving this site as soon as we find one that really doesnt have advertisements.

For some reason Im only getting easy puzzles in Journeys, which is so boring that Ive given up playing. The developers have not responded to our request for help.
The last couple of Journeys have had all easy puzzles? Is that something new.
We got this app because the ad had a 16 block game. But when we opened the app the only puzzles that were available were the basic 9 block games.
Gave 3 stars to get this seen by the developers only thing we would add is we would like to see how many times the board was played on the individual comparison for the percentages. Just a thought.
Ive had this app for years and could tolerate the ads in between games. They were totally reasonable before. Since the new update the ads have made the game not worth playing. Anytime you touch the screen in a way thats not related to solving the puzzle you get an ad. You start a puzzle: Ad. You finish a puzzle: ad. You click on your game insights after a game: ad. You start your next game after viewing game insights: another ad. Your phones low battery warning pops up, you click close. Yet another opportunity for an ad. The ads were reasonable before, not anymore.
There are too many ads. All the ads on this game are very long and take a long time to load. Sometimes we have to quit the game Im playing bc they wont load.

Great games but there are too many ads. Ads before you can start a puzzle, ads before you can view statistics, ads before you can begin a new puzzle is there an ad-free version.
This game was 5 stars in our opinion. However, there are now so many ads. Banners now block part of screen obscuring notes at the top of the screen. Between games the number of ads keep increasing. If you close an ad, another pops up. Now, ads are popping up while playing a game. Not just once or twice but constantly. We finally got fed up and deleted it.
In June 24 they added a banner of constant and changing ads to the top of the screen that not only covers the controls and the top of the actual Sudoku grid in landscape mode. It is annoying while playing, and unless you hit the top row pinpoint with your finger youre going to launch an ad instead of highlighting a block. What a shame, a waste of what was once the best Sudoku app in the store. Sigh.
Ads, ads and more ads. For the love of god, please give us an option to get rid of the ads. Not only are the ads too frequent, theyre way too long.
Less adds cant get through a game without adds.
We actually love the game, although the commercials are interminable. But since yesterday (4/2/24), the game will not load. We get 2 or 3 commercials, then a black screen. If we turn off our phone and reboot, the same thing happens. Black screen. PLEASE FIX ASAP.
We love this game. The play of the game is excellent. We have played daily for over 3 years. During that time ads have increased dramatically. Now we are getting ads during a hand and the ad crashes the game to a black screen where we have to reboot the gameand get more ads upon restarting. This is a five star game without these issues, and a two star game with them. Note we could not find a way to report this issue other than via this review.
We love your version of the game. To day we opened the app and there were so many adds it was totally annoying. The last ad included 3-30 second ads. That is way too much for us! An ad every 2-3 minutes is crazy! We will now download another app since there are many versions. Your company has lost a customer. We can actually play on our digital newspaper for free and no ads.
Ive been playing this for some time now and have quite enjoyed this app, however, Im rating at 2 stars since our latest update now has ads popping up when Im in the middle of a puzzle. Dont mind the ads between games, but definitely not in the middle of solving! Will delete this app PDQ if this continues.
The app locks up on the second hint. Black screen that never shows the advertisement. Have to restart the app and start a new game. Started after last iOS update.
We get the need for ads and although theyre short, having to do one before and after every puzzle is obscene. Id rather watch a longer one less frequently than have to watch one if we want to do anything, heaven forbid we want to pause the game for a minute or see our stats.
Great value, wish there was separate numbers for notes so you wouldnt have to toggle and wish there was way to pay to remove adds but otherwise good sudoku app.
Its fantastic that you can go back on the daily challenges to catch up on any days youve missed. We love that they have different difficulty levels. This app is well made & definitely the best sudoku app out there.
