Community Insight:
Although the voices could be better, it still deserves a 5/5 stars. We learn better with games and this game has helped our retain so much Korean (and Japanese) words. We would recommend this to anyone serious about learning the Korean language.
South Korea is awesome. It is our favorite place on earth. We currently have a tutor that lives in Seoul. We also have several phone apps. Our tutor teaches us a lot of the basic structure of the language. But one of the things that can be difficult is remembering all of the vocabulary. Imagine learning English and trying to learn all of the verbs. Its difficult. This is a fun and rewarding app that lets you learn vocabulary, but helps you to remember it. Highly recommend it. Games are always a fun and interactive way to learn a language. It feels less like working just more fun.
This game is really great and helps but we would like it better if there were some mini games for word matches of words you already know or just other things like that. Really fun though.
At first we didn't like it but that was on us. We got frustrated 'cos we couldn't read Hangul fast enough to keep up. After months of study, we're back & we LOVE THIS. Our reading is only improving.
Found this game while browsing the App Store. Its a wonderful game that is fun and teaches important vocabulary. 10/10.
We've been learning korean for years ontop of schoolwork. We'd put ourselves in this position where we had learned all of the grammar we needed, but we didn't have any vocabulary. We started this game, and its reignited our passion for korean. We genuinely enjoy it. We 10/10 do recommend :)).
No nonsense of unlock if you pay apps. Free, just watch ads once you finish a level.
This game is so cute we love it so much! We especially love that it goes fast and you can turn off romanization to challenge yourself! 10/10, would recommend.
Its really refreshing to see this kind of language app. Although it only covers vocab words and such but it makes the learning fun. Actually having another objective other than learning the language. It has a nice layout to it too. Easy to maneuver and work with. We are giving five star rate because its actually is what it say it is. Unlike other language apps where they say things in the description but it shows nothing like that in the actual app.
We thought it would be laggy but its really clean and the game play is simple and enjoyable. We mess up a lot because the timer is scary but over all, this is a really fun language game and will definitely continue using it! :).
We have tried a dozen different apps by now. This is the first one that actually feels like a game. Most of the rest are almost identical. We absolutely love this app for learning Hangul. We turned off the romanization right away. The combination of pronunciation and speed has dramatically improved our ability to read Korean. We especially love the old school battle game style. It feels a lot less like learning and a lot more like playing a game. We searched for agents to find something like this.
This game is entertaining and we believe it is great for learning and enforcing vocabulary into your memory.
This app needs more attention!! Its a fun way to learn korean and we will definitely continue to use this now and in the future.
Really liked how simple this was. Nice little app to help build vocabulary. Appreciated that you could turn off romanization when practicing, that has been helping us build our Hangul reading fluency as well! Great work.
In elementary school we learned stock market basics through Neopets, in middle school l learned interior decorating from The Sims and now Im learning Korean using dungeon. We appreciate the reward progression, the timer for a rush and the Lofi aesthetics. Better than Rosetta Stone and Duo Lingo (for our learning style) – really appreciate the time the developers put into this. Thank you for helping us learn Korean.
Its good. It has no ads no nothing.
The app is easy to use and it motivates us to study Korean everyday,.
This is so fun to play and it really does help learn korean im really in love with this and we hipe they put more into it.
About one month ago, we had lost our interest for learning Korean. Soon enough, though, we gained our interest for learning Korean back. We didn't want to become uninterested again, so we started using this app again. After all, we had some great memories with this app, such as how we learned vocabulary words so quickly. This app teaches you vocabulary words, such as "" and "", in an entertaining and effective way. It is also free, though, you can buy items, but we would definitely buy them to support the app developer if we had money! We hope that you download this app! You totally should! It will probably help you a lot.
So Ive been looking for something that will keep us entertained while learning Korean and its going very good for us we love how it looks like a video game but ur leaning Korean at the same time.
We started learning Korean a few days ago, and Korean Dungeon really helps! It is enjoyable and definetly educational. We suggest having this app on your device if you are trying to learn a langauge. You should know that this app probably wont work immediately, but learning a langauge takes time. For this app to work, we suggest two things. First of all, keep playing the levels until you know all of the words. Even after that, you should review the words sometimes. Try to get three stars! Second of all, after you play the level, you could write the words down. We dont do this, but we have thought about it. There is one thing about this app that we do not like. It is the energy, which you have to have to fight the monsters. Developers, maybe, you could just add a few ads, but if you decide to do that, please dont add too many! However, we like many things in this app. First of all, you can buy different skins that have benefits with coins. Coins are the in-game currency that you can get from fighting the monsters. Second of all, you can do critical hits, which take the monster out faster. These happen when you click the right answer almost immediately when fighting the monster. Third of all, this app is well made. It is a great app! We suggest using it.
So far the game is really fun to play as we practice writing the vocabulary down. An aspect we like especially is that the game isnt throwing random vocab at you, it stays related to the previous words you learned so you can build on it. For instance, when you learn , you dont randomly learn , but instead! Very nice. We also that you can turn romanization off. 5/5.
Very additive game, we cant stop play it.
Thank you for this Vocabulary game. The choice of words is relevant for adults like us. We really appreciate all of the hard work that you put into this game. The Vocabulary is useful its stuff that people actually use in real life. Plus, the dungeon crawling aspect makes learning the Vocabulary fun. Thank you.
We think for beginners its a really nice game. Even though im intermediate, we're using it to learn a few new words.
We love this app! Its a quick and fun way to learn common phrases in korean everyday! A nice suggestion is to make the music softer without affecting the volume of the vocabulary phrases or have a separate option to close the music but keep the volume for the pronunciation of words because we can barely hear the phrase over the music.
This is a fantastic app. We rated it 4 stars because the graphics extend beyond the safe area of the screen, so some of the game is cut off. Otherwise, we love it and its definitely teaching us some vocabulary in a fun way! Brings us back to our childhood :-).
2019-05-11 This is a great way to learn. Im getting old now and learning new things and retaining them arent so easy anymore (tears streaming down our face). We didnt think something like this would help us so much but it is. This isnt a problem but the answers change position every time and if it shows the same thing again, we accidentally choose the wrong answer, plus we gotta go search for it in the amount of time given. Thats not really bad. It makes sure you know and not just memorizing location. We started learning the Korean alphabet slightly differently so we have to get used to the romanji used. We know we should be using the Hangul instead. Did we make the Korean correctly? Im not sure. We hope that we did. Anyway, thank you dev for such a great learning tool!!! We might even boost it up to 5 which is rare for us.
Im not sure if anyone else had this experience, but we started to play the game for the first time with headphones because of the place we were in. When we got home, and we started to play the game, we couldnt hear anything. We uninstalled then reinstalled but still nothing. Its an overall good game but its kind off useless for us to have it on our phone if we cant hear a thing.
This game takes your money and you cant restore once you delete the app and redownload it. Reported to apple.
Oppa is pronounced supper weird like okka we wonder what else they pronounce wrong.
